Right, I have put myself off my own suicide watch, I think. FUUUUCK!

Yes, we did concede three goals in stoppage time but it was basically over as they got the first goal; the other two was more of a result of us collapsing completely really. Exemplified in Jonas Svensson's tears on the third goal after he'd made a second crucial personal error. Poor lad.

That said, over two legs APOEL were the better side and deserve to go through. The fact that we didn't manage to kill off the tie when we completely dominated them in the 1st half in the 1st leg and should have been both 3 and 4-0 up came back to haunt us really. They got that all important away goal and last night we were very bleak in attack and never really threatened them. We've never really managed the art of defending a lead and that proved decisive last night. So close, but yet so far.

Oh, and last but not least. APOEL... never have I experienced a more disgraceful opposition. Doing everything in their power to confirm the South European stereotype of cuntish beahviour. Players running into the referee to fake injury, staff kicking balls out on the pitch to stop counter attacks and apparently our coach even received death threats from their bench: «We are going to find your hotel and come and kill you.» Fucking scum.

I hope they get battered in the play off round, that we draw them in the Europa League group stage and that we rip them a new one.

Bad luck mate, you must have been tearing your hair out. Had an eye on it on Livescore and couldn't believe the full time result when I saw it.

Draw for the final play off round on Friday. Praying that Roma avoid City!

Here is what happened: around the 70. minute mark I actually turned off the game as I didn't dare watch the rest of the game. Wandering around nervously literally counting the minutes I checked the Livescore app on my phone a little while later: 88th minute still nil all. I'm usually very pessimistic about Rosenborg for some reason, so thought to myself "there is still time for us to bottle this, though it does look promising". Turning on the TV in injury time only to see apoel being 2-0 up...

Manchester City will face Romanian side Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League play-off round.

Scottish champions Celtic will meet Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva while Irish champions Dundalk have been drawn against Poland's Legia Warsaw.

What do you think about Ludogorets Razgrad ? They will face Viktoria Plzen .Plzen was the strongest ( coefficient ) from the seeded teams.

I can't help but like this Man City side...

Aguero with 2 penalties in the game so far, both not scored. Never thought he was the best penalty taker, surely City have better in their ranks? Thankfully for them Silva has scored inbetween penalty misses to give them a lead.

Dundalk are taking on Polish side Leiga at the Aviva tonight, I'd love to see them pick up a win to take them to Poland.

Unfortunately Dundalk suffered a 2-0 defeat at "home" to Legia - it's virtually impossible to see them qualifying for the CL GS.

Shame, but tbf, this is the point where losers drop to the Europa League. Someone mentioned they'd get over £4million for reaching those - way more than what their league pays out in championship fees. So still a hell of a windfall relatively anyway.

EDIT: NVM it was said the £4M figure is what they've earned so far.

It's a shame Dundalk couldn't make it into the group stages but they didn't disgrace themselves against Legia and at least they've got the Europa League group stage cushion to fall back on - now they can get back to winning ways domestically.

It wouldn't be a regular football season without Roma self imploding in a Champions League game. Didn't expect it this early though.

Joe Hart starting tonight for City, meaning he'll be cup tied if he moves to a club playing in the Champions League. Lol.

Saw that result yeah, shame really, I'd much rather have, say, Ajax v Milan in the latter stages of the CL than City v PSG.

Think they've had a couple of dodgy results so far in the Eredivisie too, the new manager might not be up to much.

They are apparently being overly stingy in the transfer market, according to their fans.

Legia in a group alongside Dortmund and Real Madrid - it could have been so easily Dundalk.

Oh and Sporting Lisbon are the other team in Group F.

Celtic get thrown in with Barcelona, Man City and Monchengladbach... yeah good luck with that.

Porto for Leicester is a toughie but Brugge and Copenhagen is not that bad.
