Had a go at another player, an improvement on the current Megapack picture.

I am relatively happy with the cut. It does however have quite a green tinge to it due to the picture source. Any advice on where I can improve? I do wish to become a 'cutter' for images on here so all feedback is well appreciated.

And another. Sorry if this is considered spamming, just the the word if that is the case Mods.

Bit too ragged around the beard definitely. Does look better on a dark background in game than on the forum.

Last one for the day. Happy with the outcome considering source isn't the greatest and is quite small. It looks pretty good in game with a dark background,

So i downloaded Photoshop CC 2015 & Veritas and decided to give this cutting marlaky another go.

Using this image of Rafinha as one of my sources, an easy-ish cut:

Looks good on a white background, would have to see how it looks on black. Other thing is, you would want to leave some of the collar.

Looks like a decent effort to me. There are certainly many, many, many thousands in the megapack that are a lot worse. A few things I think you can do to improve

1. There are some pixels left, particularly around the ears that you can delete.
2. Add some collar to the neck. For an image like this easiest thing is to move the collar up a bit
3. The green tinge is from the original photo (that looks like it has been cut and placed on the blue background that makes it harder). Not sure what you use for your cuts but in photoshop you can use Clone Stamp > Colour to help get rid of that sort of colour tinge.
4. I always rotate the image so that the eyes are horizontal. Sometimes that looks weird if its not a straight headshot so use your judgement

Here is my very quick attempt as an example (without doing anything with the greenness)

Hope this helps

If using Photoshop, I'd also use the clone stamp with the Hue mode to get rid off the green hue. I'd also adjust the colors a bit as the image is quite green. So something like this:

I've been doing cuts on and off for a while now and tbh I suck haha, I had to reinstall the megapack because when I first started I forgot to look for snow and when I looked at the players with black skin on they had loads of it! I've only added 1 cut into my megapack so far but I'm happy with it as you cant see any snow and only a tiny bit of grey around it, but for me it's passable, I'll just like some honest feedback from this cut. @mons and @BajaHater,

@DutchyFM , I think it's quite good, and it's going into the next update pack, albeit with a bit of tweaking.

When viewed at 100%, a few pixels of a different colour can be seen around the head. Zoomed in they are a bit more evident, as circled:

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u344/maltamons/cut.png

Less than a minute's worth of snow removal, using this technique, results in a cleaner cut:

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u344/maltamons/cut%20after%20snow%20removal.png

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u344/maltamons/5101731.png

As you can tell, this is a relatively minor modification, but it can often make the difference between a decent cut and a good one

Looking forward to seeing more of your work - remember, nobody was born a cutter and any issue you face when cutting has almost certainly been tackled by another cutter in the past, so there's no harm in asking for feedback or help

Awesome! Thanks for that @mons I'm very happy to hear it will be added into the next megapack that's awesome! I will post some more when done in this thread, only problem is I don't have a editor so I use an online one called Pixlr so quite restricted.

Thanks @BajaHater I'll have a look.

Here are some more I done using the free editor.

Again, there is no snow around them, there could be some grey I'm not sure as I'm not on FM atm. These once granted were easier they all had white backgrounds or were already transparent haha.

Not bad, but some rogue pixels still remain. Before finalising the cuts, have a look at the images on a dark background within the program you are using and you can clearly see that there is a small number of pixels which could be removed in order to improve your cut

Your brother account is active again.Go to the first page of this thread and watch tutorials, there you'll see all you need to do to get nice cut out. Those small cuts are unnacceptable.Your cuts should be 180x180.

@parazaodamassa , I'm noticing that the faces of most of your cuts are out-of-proportion; either too narrow or too wide. Can you perhaps post a link to the source image from where you got that cut? And a brief description of what program and which technique you used to produce the cut. This could help us pinpoint where you can improve your cuts...

Mons, in the cuts, i first used Rangerson (https://www.instagram.com/p/BFXYP3bmoPW/) sorry for this image, but this guy just take pics with caps. In the second i used Sidcley (http://s.glbimg.com/es/sde/f/2015/10/23/06b60cdb6d50ff8541ce5b5385b49ddd_300x300.png)
I´m using the Adobe Photoshop CS2 and to cut i´m using just Magic Wander and Background Eraser Tool. The problem is that the size of image don´t stay like the cuts i see on forum. Could you guys please help me with that?
(Baja, i promisse i´ll see the tutorias today

Do take the time to watch the tutorials. At the moment, you're just trying out something without guidelines or help. The tutorials will give you a better idea of how to approach cutting...

Hi. Having problems with my data editor. Seems to be in the wrong hard drive and I can't change back. Now that I can't open data editor I can't make packs that I was hoping too. I was wondering if there was an updated FM database that gives UID's. Last one appears to be from FM12 so lots of newer Id's not listed. Hoping someone can help! :-)

The FM database search function on this very site could be of assistance, I guess

I saw a lot of cuts that are off center,so here is the easy way to center images:
When you select Crop tool, set it's options like displayed below:
https://s20.postimg.org/5iwu8p4i5/crop.png
Position the box with your mouse by dragging the center points of the top and bottom line ,1-2 pixels of empty space above the head and below the chin, including few pixels of the collar.Note that if process of doing that become somehow "jumpy",hold CTRL key while dragging the lines of the box,it will become more accurate.
After that, just use left and right arrow on keyboard to center the image with help of visible squares in the grid.
