Not quite that hot here, but the sun shines right onto my window in the afternoon so even on cool days my room turns into makeshift blast furnace if I keep the window closed.

I've been simultaneously been deputy manager to two Sense stores for the last six months or so, but I'm quite excited to (hopefully) get my own shop. The area manager called just an hour after I had applied online so I reckon I must have a good chance.

I'm pretty sure its not the first time they've done this. But regardless its fucked up. Also doesn't help my current theory its too late to stop climate change destroying the world if someone's going to do stupid shit like this.

It's basically an annual thing now, at least they had the 'courtesy' to warn us about it this time round.
Though there is also our local custom of sending hell notes to our ancestors (literally setting paper on fire) which while is nowhere near as bad as setting forests on fire, doesn't put us in a good light either.

Aw isn't that's nice of them to send courtesy they're about to commit a big ecological catastrophe?
In terms of scale that forest burning is substantially worse. Though the other thing is a curious pasttime, that. If they have to burn something at least its relatively small scale.

Momentum / Corbynites can't seem to get there head round this. Having 500'000 zealous supporters isn't as good having 15 million fairly indifferent ones.
Don't understand what the people 'resigning' from the Labour party are doing. I'm not sure what they are supposed to be 'against'. I find it unlikely Corbyn is the man to deliver the election, and I also suspect he would be content leading Labour in opposition 'morally'. But I don't see how weakening the Labour Party is the answer to that. And in our heart of hearts none of us really believe Owen Smith will see a sudden surge in the polls.
tbf if Labour gets on with it, and unites behind Corbyn, I don't think he'll seem as unelectable in a couple of years, May seems completely out of her depth.

Corbyn's insane opinions on foreign policy will still be just as cancerous in a few years as they are today. A man who thinks NATO is responsible for the war in Ukraine and wants the UK to leave the organisation, wants to give Argentina joint-control of the Falklands, wants to scrap Trident, opposes bombing ISIS and has cosy relations with Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah is a man who scares away the centrist vote all by himself. In a political climate where security is as important to voters as it is now, the Tories can easily undermine any well-received Labour proposal by bringing up foreign policy.

See this is the problem with Corbyn. Although I don't agree with him on much of foreign policy he actually has a relatively nuanced outlook to it which often times boils down to 'Lets not make the same mistakes we always make and lets not make the problem worse' which gets completely misrepresented by a hawkish and right wing media.
Anyway, Corbyn's biggest problem for me has always been the constant undermining of his position by Labour MP's. If they stopped telling everybody that would listen that he's 'unelectable' then the electorate as a whole might not have bought into the idea so readily.
Might not be enough to win an election, but if the biggest problem with Corbyn is electability and competence then the PLP shouldn't have put up a more incompetent and unelectable candidate in Smith.

The 'centre' may switch back away from the far right. Possible May will alienate the working classes who backed Hard Brexit on immigration. When its 2018 and we still are in the EU and haven't triggered article 50.

The Grand Tour will probably blow it out of the water, but if a dull show like Fifth Gear can survive for almost 15 years then I'm sure there's a place for Top Gear, especially now that Evans is gone.
