A load of wasn't it! Gibsons was shocking aswell, I don't know what the ref was thinking for them both. Hopefully both will be successfully appealed against.

im fucking hope so, but not Gibson!

Gibson's was the nearest of the incidents (this includes the Anichebe one Allardyce mentioned in his post-match interview) to being a card, nevermind a red one. The Osman goal in the first half was also ridiculous.

Stoke aren't everyone's cup of tea but it's hard not to admire them in a way - they hardly ever concede and hardly ever lose. Similarly, I know Everton have been doing very well but just 2 defeats in league 27 games is staggering. Fair play.

Also, Newcastle fans booing the Ameobi/Cisse substitution and then going on to win was perfect after Shola saying booing negatively affects performances last week. He took his goal very well.

This is guessing from Tweets I saw from Newcastle fans at the match but by the looks of it the boos were for hooking Cisse rather than Shola's arrival, with the common view being that Demba Ba should have been hooked.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but there does seem to be a growing number of fans that think Ba is harming our chances as much as helping them.

QPR did the same as well, booing the Cisse/Hoilett sub.

God knows what they were booing anyway, Cisse didn't look like scoring and Shola and Obertan changed the game. But yeah booing subs is moronic, especially when Cisse and Jonas weren't having good games. Shola to his credit didn't let it get to him, probably because he's had to endure it for years.

You mean with the transfer saga or his performances in general? If it is on performances then they are probably just lying to themselves blaming a player they expect to leave for problems. I still don't expect Ba to leave, but if a deal is done, he is still giving 100% and is one of the better players in the team every game.

Fans were booing because we were 0-0 against the 2nd bottom club and we were taking strikers off, however it was moronic as Cisse was doing fuck all anyway. Although then again neither was Ba.

We were awful today, good job QPR are one of the worst teams I've ever seen.

Ba was shit today, didn't look interested at all and was very sulky. The way he demanded to take 3 freekicks before skying them about 40 yards over the bar was very selfish too, wasteful. At least Cisse grafts when he's playing shit.

What handball are you talking about?

BR. was referring to the incident involving Rekik when people were claiming he body checked whoever was running into the box

Valencias looked really poor this season.

Could be doing with nani in for a few games.

we played some really good stuff first 20 mins or so, just completely fell apart after they scored, just awful defending. Still plenty more goals in this though

And when the ball is played in towards him Nastasic handballs it.

Yep, really frustrating. Totally lacking in confidence and devoid of ideas. Nani is supposedly injured so I guess we're waiting on Kagawa to come back soon so Valencia can have a break. I'd rather play Welbeck right side than him at the minute.

I was, but I hadn't seen it then - it wasn't much of a body check though having seen it, it could have been a handball though I think.

I've only seen the incident from angles where they were focusing on the body check so can't say for certain, but it looks more like shoulder/chest for me.

I wouldn't have started him against a team like Swansea tbf... He needs time to regain his feet quite literally after being sidelined for so long. Are Ferdinand and Smalling injured because they're not on the bench.
