Chronicle literally arguing that the PL and the Championship are equal standard.
They've even provided this helpful list of Championship goalscorers - Who all went on to light up the Premier League
Nathan Ellington (Wigan Athletic, 2004/05) - 24 goals
Marlon King (Watford, 2005/06) - 21 goals
Jamie Cureton (Colchester United, 2006/07) - 23 goals
Sylvain Ebanks-Blake (Plymouth Argyle and Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2007/08) - 23 goals
Sylvain Ebanks-Blake (Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2008/09) - 25 goals
Peter Whittingham (Cardiff City, 2009/10)/ Nicky Maynard (Bristol City, 2009/10) - 20 goals
Danny Graham (Watford, 2010/11) - 24 goals
Rickie Lambert (Southampton, 2011/12) - 27 goals
Glenn Murray (Crystal Palace, 2012/13) - 30 goals
Ross McCormack (Leeds United, 2013/14) - 28 goals
Daryl Murphy (Ipswich Town, 2014/15) - 27 goals
Andre Gray (Burnley, 2015/16) - 25 goals
Dwight Gayle (Newcastle United, 2016/17) - 13 goals*
Can't be arsed to look it up but decent chance if you remove Lambert - Shola has scored more than the rest combined.
Of you remove Gayle - Anichebe probs has more than the rest combined.

Seriously though he was, and this is not even hyperbole, the worst referee I have ever seen. There were fouls in the build up to both of their goals, he denied us a stonewall penalty, literally gave a free kick for nothing one time, allowed Barnet to timewaste as much as they like after he had awarded them 2 goals.
I know we were also shit but after working all day, driving an hour to watch the game, suffering through it, driving an hour and a half back due to road works, and then knowing I have to suffer through work tomorrow with everyone asking me "what happened then?" I really don't want to talk about.
I fucking hate football sometimes.

I hate it every week. Who did you have - I've probably whinged about him in the past
Shola
Can he compete with the tactics of having more money than everyone else combined?
Vercoe
Brett Huxtable I think his name was, apparently he's been "fast-tracked" from non-league and this is his first season in the Football League so I'm not sure you've had the pleasure yet

Ruined my Super 6, I went 4-0 Newcastle!

Without Colback and Gouffran we're woefully short of class.

Shelvey has talent but is hopeless if Colback isn't playing, Hayden doesn't know how to play centre midfield, Atsu can deliver a moment, but is otherwise fairly shite, and Ritchie is out of form and totally average.
Dummett was probably our classiest player going forward.....
Maybe I'm being unfair, but with all the hype over Benitez I see this season as a dress rehearsal for next season and we should be looking for top ten at a minimum, and we look absolute relegation fodder.
terriersmad
A) We're not naive;
B) We didn't deserve at least a point;
C) Referees don't actively hate us.
Reading have had NINE penalties in the league this season. NINE. After last night, I'm convinced a decision was made at ref HQ which determined we, under no circumstances, are allowed any decisions. Those two in the second half are actually beyond belief and comprehension. First one is absolutely unbelievable - their lad just takes out Wells as he bursts through. The second is even worse - he just ploughs through our lad then gets up and kicks him again for good measure. We had a great shout in the first half when Scannell got taken out by Warnock, too, and every fucking corner saw theirs wrestling ours to the floor. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE FUCKING RULING AT THE START OF THE FUCKING SEASON THAT WAS MEANT TO PUT A STOP TO IT? Wholeheartedly accept that on Wigan's sole corner, ours was doing it to theirs, and that should also have been given.
Not saying we were stellar - too slow in possession, too naive at the back to really deserve to win - but at the same time, it's hardly a level playing field when the opposition is allowed to do that without any kind of fall-out time after time.
It really is every week and it goes beyond a joke.
Shedender
One goal up at half time but have had two players dismissed and Nottingham Forest have missed two penalties.
Shola
But that was a joke. Lansbury and Lichaj need lengthy bans.

Bit of a fucking mess all told. Somewhat suitable to round off the shittest week of the season so far.

And also a lot of terrible decisions, like booking Gouffran and Yedlin for a minor tackle and refusing to book there players for much worse challenges. Booking Darlow for dissent, but not Lansbury. Lichaj also went down holding his head from a shoulder barge.
It was one of them performances, where tbh, it looks like the referee is trying to make a name for himself, rather than trying to officiate the game fairly.
BR.
Are you going today mate?
terriersmad
Nope. Distinctly under the weather so I've let a mate have my ticket. Take it you are?
BR.
Ah I see, yeah I'll be there. Got a bit of confidence after winning the last 2, but we very rarely string 3 wins together so wouldn't be surprised if we came back down to earth.
terriersmad
We're due a win, too. Not been playing badly - performances have dropped off, and we have been making mistakes, but things out of our control have gone against us too. Seen the team, and I'm hopeful with Hefele back at the back we'll be more solid.
terriersmad
Soft one, too. Having seen it, it's a penalty but it's a much less blatant penalty than any of our appeals on Monday, which adds to the frustration. I'm not criticising the officials today at all, Hefele shouldn't grab him and were I in his boots I'd give it, but it highlights how much we're on the wrong end of complete stinkers like Monday. And all the more frustrating for being in a game where, by all accounts, we should have won by a landslide. I hate football.
BR.
We were lucky to get a point. I know you've been on a bad run of form but you're a decent team - well organised, full of energy etc, with a couple of players who really stood out (one was on the left wing, another in the middle).

Either way, the above means that we're giving our caretaker "managers" (term to be used lightly) Chris Brass and Ryan Kidd some more time. Amazing how productive we've been during our two week break!
Poe
Surprised about the Shelvey one as he does kick him - although Lansbury does first so maybe that had something to do with it. Shame we can't have the retrospective goal, penalty and goal scratched off too mind.
Dunno why Forest fans are so angry the cards got overturned - we play them again in more than 3 games time so it wouldn't have effected them anyway, and we can potentially take points off their relegation rivals.
Shola
Poe, have you been to many away games this season?
