Another year, another FA Cup.

Many qualifying rounds have taken place already, but this weekend sees the first round proper.

I, for one, will be hoping that the non-league sides prosper. Including Kidderminster who take on Blackpool! Reasons best left unsaid in fear of litigation!

Here's the full first round draw!

Eastleigh v Swindon is live on BBC 2, with Mersetham v OIxford United and Southport v Fleetwood on BT Sport 1

Fair play to Eastleigh in getting the draw tonight, it was a decent game. A bit lucky with the Norris effort, after seeing it replayed about 20 times during the coverage I finally think it was a goal so they got away with one there. Almost nicked it with that effort cleared off the line at the end too! I don't see them winning the replay, however.

A finish of Shakespearean standard at The Den, Romeo snatching the late win for Millwall! Southend must be gutted as it seemed like they deserved a replay too.

One non-league team confirmed in the hat for the next round then!

Lead Wimbledon 2-0 and managed to fuck it up and draw 2-2. Very much looking forward to a replay at Wimbeldon in a few weeks (not). Car crashing big time as of late

There was a serious lack of upsets today which was disappointing.

Can just recall the two which was Accrington winning away to Bradford and Macclesfield shocking Walsall.

Hope some more happen tomorrow.

Harriers will beat us, don't know if that'll count as a shock tho...

You think?

I could see Morecambe beating Coventry, Carlisle could suffer defeat at St. Albans but I don't think any upsets will come.

Did anyone just watch the Southport - Fleetwood game on BT tonight? Lucky you if you haven't. It was brutal. Jimmy Ryan took a terrific free kick and Devante Cole had a dangerous 1 vs 1 for Fleetwood.but both well saved by the goalie. Apart from that, highlights included a neon sign on the chippy's roof, which displayed "YELLOWS" every minute with some flashy images inbetween, a smoke bomb and a flare thrown onto the pitch within the space of 20 seconds, and the linesman having to be subbed off in the first half. Still not buy him being "injured", the fekker just couldn't be arsed probably.

Makes you wonder why the draw has fekked you over so hard when you have to watch stuff like that

Macclesfield v Oxford United

Bolton v Sheffield United

Blackpool v Gillingham or Brackley Town

Whitehawk or Stourbridge v Northampton

Boreham Wood or Notts County v Peterborough

Cambridge United or Dover v Coventry or Morecambe

Port Vale v Hartlepool

Bristol Rovers or Crawley v Barrow or Taunton

Woking v Accrington Stanley

Sutton United v Cheltenham or Crewe

Eastleigh or Swindon v Halifax or Dagenham and Redbridge

Shrewsbury v Southport or Fleetwood

Charlton v MK Dons

Plymouth v Newport or Alfreton

Carlisle v Maidstone United or Rochdale

Another home draw for us So some scabs will still go. I guess it's another chance to have a protest ignored by the media because we're not a London club like Charlton.

Which will be televised, no matter the outcome.

Makes Tuesday's replay at Wimbledon just the tiny bit more interesting. Could be doom or gloom this. Win, and you get money for reaching the 2nd round, money for the televised fixture in the 2nd round and having a reasonable chance of going beyond that and draw a really big fish in round 3.

All academic if we lose of course (which is the likely scenario)

Oh wow, Birmingham away, an all-Championship tie, how exciting. It'll probably be another third round exit.

Not Reading or Charlton. Makes it sound exciting until you realise Port Vale are the only side we've faced more in cups in recent years - FA Cup in 2008 and 2009, with a League Cup tie in 2011. Chuck in a two-legged Coca-Cola Cup clash in 1995, and you realise Port Vale are our most frequent cup foes in recent years.

We're at home, at least. We haven't had a cup run in ages, and it's a great chance to get one going.

Travelling up to Liverpool tomorrow to make a weekend of our FA Cup giant killing versus Liverpool. Going to Everton vs. Leicester on the Saturday as well, although due to some late change of plans we've got another person coming with us and we were originally meant to all be in the away end but all tickets for the away end are off sale so I did the gracious thing and got a ticket on my own in the home end. Absolutely fucking buzzing for the whole weekend. My only concern is parking my car but let's worry about that later.

For the Liverpool game or the Everton game?

Got a ticket for the Liverpool game myself. Parking wise last time we drove we parked right outside the stadium in a little booth watched by a guy, but it was like 5 or 10 quid and getting out was a nightmare.

Officials already having a shocker in the Arsenal/PNE game.

Have Arsenal put in a special request with the FA to shorten games to 45 minutes (preferably the 2nd half) been absolutely shocking today again

So, a replay required, 2 fixture rearrangements, Mitrovic being stretchered off - albeit not with the leg break some thought it was - and another failure to win. Magic of the FA Cup indeed. Maybe that £33m injection from Ashley is an indication someone's going to be bought in.

Oh well. Would've been nice to see an Eastleigh or Stourbridge go through as well, but maybe not this time. Especially in Eastleigh's case, given that Brentford spanked them.

Cannot believe how poor our Third Round record is. Without needing a replay, we haven't won a Third Round tie since 2006.

That season was the last time we won an away FA Cup tie as well.

We're not brilliant at this competition are we?

No goal though. Credit to Plymouth getting themselves a replay and presumably more TV money out of it.

Tbf we had a perfectly good goal in the first half disallowed, replay shouldn't be too much bother though i imagine it'll be much the same team again with maybe 1 other first teamer in

Port Vale are a bit rubbish. We played a much-changed team (only one player likely to start at Hillsborough next week in the starting XI) and duly put their first XI to the sword. Very young Town team, but a very good performance. Couple of players coming back from injury getting more minutes under their belts isn't to be sniffed at either. We were able to rest Kachunga and Wells (who was on the bench). We'd have liked to have rested Mooy as well, but Billing picked up a knock after an hour meaning Mooy came on.

Lots of good prospects in that team. Payne was excellent against Wigan and he always looks a livewire. Good to see him get two goals, as well as having one ruled out for offside and another cleared off the line. Brown looked very good on debut. Lolley looked a bit ring-rusty after being out since August, but once he's up to speed again he'll be a big player. Stankovic, with time, is going to be an outstanding defender and I suspect he'll be a full international by the end of the calendar year and be the first name on the teamsheet. Holmes-Dennis was also very assured at the back and seems to be growing with every game he plays (that's 5 starts now). The young keeper, Coleman, looked very good again, although again he wasn't really tested, simply having to come and catch a couple and make a good punch at one point - even so, good to see a keeper command his area so well when he's only a kid. We had seven 20-year-olds in the starting XI, plus Lolley, Hudson, Whitehead and Cranie, which can only bode well for the future.

Tbf that one required a FIFA Goal of the Year contender and a 95th minute strike to come from behind and win a game Blackburn lead for a long period.

But yeah - no away win in the FA Cup since 2006, and only one Third Round tie won first time in that time period too. Shit record either way.
