It sure is @Shedender

Champions League is ridiculously tough @r96Skinner but hopefully we can secure third at least in the group.

I have been using it a lot @VP.

Into October, celebrating another birthday and it'd be another year older for the club too. We had been given a killer Champions League draw in the groups which started last month with defeat against PSG. We'd face both FC Bayern and Sporting this month to see how we sat halfway through this stage of the competition. We also had a handful of Premier League games and the Fourth Round of the EFL cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/o1NEKLLfpZW7kcMGDG9IriNfj8IVo471xxCDeVIp.png

A superb month! Once again we picked up just one defeat all month and that was a very disappointing one away at Middlesbrough. We kicked off October, on my birthday with possibly the biggest win of my career, beating German giants Bayern Munich two nil, goals from Guest and Fofana sealing the win. We returned to Premier League action with a four one away win against Huddersfield, a very good performance from us with Bird netting and brace along with goals from Guest and centre back Nieto. We got one over on Tottenham, which doesn't happen much, with a three one win at home with Natterman, Guest and Arregui netting, the latter of the three from the spot kick in the final minute. Staying at home for a second game running, we welcomed Portugal side Sporting and won three one to pick up our second win the group stage. Guest netted a brace to take him to five goals in four games this month, Alvir netted our third goal in the second half. Not sure what happened against Middlesbrough, we lost three nil despite dominating the game. Ending the month with a brillian bounce back win, at home against Manchester United, beating them two nil in the EFL Cup Fourth Round with Hoppe and Mazurek netting.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PGQXVezfMmUbuUyJss1JyAq65ZiWZCifoIcCW7Rh.png

Ten league games played and we're inside the top four meaning we're looking to play Champions League football again next year. But we don't wish to think too much about that just yet. We've got a long way to go this season, twenty eight games in fact and have also got our Champions League campaign this season still on the go to see if we can extend that.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/cLV8VQ0tbUVRw1GmDOM41ZfTlSn08jOVFKcfKo52.png

Perhaps I have really underestimated just how good of a footballing side we are. I mean, we are a top four English premier League side, why do we fear the likes of PSG, Bayern and Sporting, especially the latter. We're halfway through the group stage and as it stands, three games in we're set to qualify for the knockout Round. Three games to go in the groups.

Isn't it always the way the one game you would lose in that month would be one of the more winnable ones?

Still, doing excellently well so far this season and indeed in the UEFA CL. KIU

With the team now seemingly settled in and familiarized with @VP. tactic we were beginning to hit some good form. October saw us go five wins out of six and we went into November with five more fixtures to play. Three in the Premier League and we'd also face two of the remaining three games from our Champions League group, which at the start I feared we wouldn't qualify from, after three games its looking likely that we could.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/pmx2x4aMqVrYaRqqeFS54UeXqywCHk5NLQLDlRCu.png

I recently posted that I had now made it to 1000 games in football management, we've now hit that milestone with London City alone. 1000 competitive games in charge and boy its been an incredible journey to date.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wb0cGXvmATzpIt3JMlXW0d1FLpivBrZiHXAl3Kbs.png

An unbeaten month at a superb time and more importantly four more points picked up in the Champions League. We welcomed Burnley and opened the month with a big win, four one with goals from Alvir, Torres, Mazurek and Fofana. A trip to Portugal saw us draw one all, Mazurek netting for a second game running. Back to Premier League action, we beat Liverpool two one as Fofana and Torres both gave us the lead, one nil and two one and that secured the points before we welcomed Reading and beat them comfortably three nil, Fofana netting a superb hatrick here. We ended the month with a European capital City clash, beating Paris Saint-Germain one nil as Guest struck for us.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mWQgdLMeIRW5ciukrMZuHacgDTd0259OdgdsUtbX.png

Second in the Premier league and approaching the halfway stage of the season. Manchester City sit top after thirteen league games and we trail them by just three points and have a game in hand. If we win it six nil we'll jump them. But thats not likely to happen. We're performing well at the moment, glad the Champions League pressure isn't getting to us and the extra demand on fixtures.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Oy6PAKqaNtQSgXaKGtytVPuoSeit9qWiXhday0Vl.png

We've not qualified yet, but almost! We top our group after five games and with one to go we can qualify with just a point when we face German giants Bayern Munich, who will be playing for their spot in the next round as they currently sit in third place. Sporting who face Paris on the final day of group football, have just a single point this group stage and that came from us.

Its December, 2035, the year is coming to an end, well calendar year that is, and now we're just seeing it out for thirty one days. A time for rest and family, well, not for us! December was going to be the busiest month i think we have ever faced. With us still in the EFL Cup and Champions League, Premier League games were rocking up to. Thankfully the FA Cup doesn't start till next month. We faced no fewer than nine matches across the three different competitions in December.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/S5A2GuStwTtoRkYW8JIYf2YamTvoP9KbohMwXzyD.png

So many matches, so few red notes, scrap that, no red dots as we go the whole of December, all nine games and in fact hit a fifteen match unbeaten run in all competitions. We faced two away ties to start the month against completely different opponents yet managed the same score, we beat Brentford three two with goals from Fofana who struck twice and Guest with one before beating Bayern Munich for the second time in the groups, this time in Germany three two with a brace from Torres and Guest netting again. A Single Arregui goal secured a one nil win on our return to Premier League action against Southampton before we secured a back to back clean sheet beating Arsenal two nil in the EFL Cup Quarter Finals. Arregui netting for a second game running and Guest on target. Three draws followed in the league. Drawing two a piece with Everton and then at home against Stoke before drawing three a piece against Cardiff. Against Cardiff we had given away two penalties, one was saved and conceded three all in the space of the opening fifteen minutes so I'll take a come back point. We rounded the year off with two more away games, beating Arsenal for the second time this month with the same two nil scoreline, Guest and Arredui again being the scorers before beating Swansea three one, Baldwin and Fofana with a brace.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7Tvhg8UcYbBRRPsdldSeChRLvUdXP0ZufzXNRvn6.png

We head into the 2036 calendar year well and truly in the title race with us occupying second and just three points behind the league leaders Manchester United. Manchester City in third are level on points with us however trail us by goals scored this season whilst Reading are a surprise candidate who occupy fourth place. Its tight and will stay that way I'm sure, we're in the race though.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NQ17jIxU2KRBmAiLD7kmzhGJGT3rGhwXHTqaI8Bz.png

At the start of the group stage if you told me we finished third and head into the Europa League spot I would of taken that, if you told me we'd top the group I wouldn't of believed you. But we do! With two victories over Bayern Munich, one over Sporting and one over PSG we have indeed secured not only our spot in the First Knockout Round, but taken the top spot with it.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/q8f1AznuJeKRHSdZwHtHAiqLVsOj59pSSFc3aaAr.png

And what a draw we have in the First Knockout Round, every ounce of confidence that we'll be seen in the Quarter Finals as we are drawn away at AS Saint--Etienne for the first leg of the tie and will welcome them to London City stadium for the all important second leg. We've only ever played one game against the French side, a friendly back in 2031 which we drew 3-3. Looking to the right we can see some big draws in the round which will see some big sides exit. PSG vs Real Madrid and Juventus vs Barcelona the stick out ties.

And so 2035 comes to an end for London City FC but we're beginning to make that name for ourselves now. We're still in all four competitions this season, the Premier League which we occupy second place, the Champions League with a winnable tie against Saint Etienne, the EFL Cup with a two legged Semi Final tie against Leicester and the FA Cup which we'll start in January against Barnsley. We're also on a 15 match unbeaten run using @VP.'s tactic.

England - 2035 Round Up

A usual quick round up of the calendar year and whats come and gone for England on the pitch. Obviously there was no major tournament this year after the World Cup last year where we finished a more than respectable third place. We're now sitting fourth in the World Rankings, twenty one places above where I took over three years ago now. Not sure how much longer I'll be here though.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/kfUtV1PVoyGhpl96SDlAoGUuP4Qz8BlG35qm396b.png

We weren't able to arrange a single friendly this year and didn't play one, instead it was competitive fixtures for all ten of our matches this time around. From the last update you may remember we had qualified from our International League group and so went on to play a Semi Final against Spain, we crashed out here last time but beat them four nil. Only to come runners up to Germany as they trounced us three nil in the Final. Our European Championship Qualifying group was straight forward and so were the results on the pitch. Hungary the only other team to beat us in the calendar year.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Z3j5tO0voYybFhlI6fg51Q8Oob3POJz0Id8tngPF.png

Qualified with ease, twenty one points picked up from a possible twenty four as Hungary grabbed a victory against us. We finished eight points clear of Austria who will also join us at the Euros next year. Surprising to see Slovakia bottom of the group with FYR Macedonia above them. Hungary miss out on qualifying automatically by just two points.

Bring on Euro 2036! It'll be my second major international in charge of England and could be my last, undecided yet.

So we finished December and the calendar year on a superb run, in fact, unbeaten in fifteen matches following a nine game month that was a brilliant effort from the boys. We now head into the New Year looking to extend that run. Much to my delight we're still in all four competitions which we started the season in and this month would throw us Premier League action and both legs of the EFL Cup Semi Final vs Leicester.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0wZm1CfY9KATHvBCLvw2jyEJ1hgOmNopflNNYdZK.png

Another very busy month saw us face eight games in three different competitions. Our unbeaten run has come to an end, we stretched to twenty one games in the end before City beat us. The year started with a narrow one nil win over West Ham with Nieto scoring. We welcomed Championship side Barnsley in the FA Cup Third Round and beat them three nil with Fofana, Arregui and Guest all netting in the opening thirty five minutes. A trip to league leaders United saw us grab a well earned point, Fofana netting our goal in the one all draw. The EFL Cup Semi Final first leg drew us at home against Leicester. We lead twice here through Fofana and then Dunn but were held to a draw. Travelling to Wolves we hit our first win in three matches, let goals from Hoppe and Mazurek enough to secure the victory. Our second, of three ties against Leicester this month saw us beat them four one at home. One down at the break before Arregui, Guest (x2) and Mojovic secured a big victory. Twenty one games unbeaten in all competitions came to an end after Man City came from behind to beat us two one, Guest had netted from a penalty early on. Finally a busy January concluded with a huge away win at Leicester in the EFL Cup Semi Final Second Leg, with us winning seven two! That wasn't even on aggregate. Dunn, Arregui and Fofana all struck whilst Guest struck four.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FaNwWwWWLaZCl4P5cRZxtrVDgLhx2iVRJIE8ZmFp.png

We're now third in the league but the top three are all separated by just two points as its definitely going to be an exciting run in if we can hold our form we've been showing of late with the extra fixtures we'll face this year. Manchester City now lead the way, they're a point clear of United after twenty five matches. We're in third, a further point behind with thirteen games to play this season. There is then an eleven point gap to fourth and fifth, surprisingly Middlesbrough and Reading.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xqTZ2mEUIaMjqetnQMd0fwwg3BX38IfiJVryxOSU.png

And so we're set for our first ever appearance in the EFL Cup Final despite being in the competition for probably ten years or so now. We'll face Chelsea in the Final, they're not having the greatest league campaign this year and haven't lifted this trophy during this save. The last time they won it was back in 2015.

Our months aren't quieting down, not any time soon anyway as we remain in all four competitions heading into February 2036. The FA Cup was now underway. we had another Championship side to deal with in the Fourth Round whilst there was no EFL Cup action this month, the Final is in March, we did return to Champions League action with the first leg of the First Knockout Round against St Etienne where we'd hope to grab at least an away goal.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/LbA47efYIyF78RGe3Rl0R4P9dAhwYeHSrrtVL96Q.png

We've seemed to have cut the draws out of our game since the middle of January however a couple more losses added to our season in February, good news in February is progression through two rounds of the FA Cup. We kicked off February against Championship side QPR and beat them easily in the FA Cup Fourth Round. Guest with a brace along with goals from Bernier and Dunn to seal our spot in the Fifth Round. A trip to Chelsea who we'll meet next month in the EFL Cup Final saw us lose six three! Not sure what happened here, a nine goal thriller for the neutrals. Guest with another brace and Arregui on target for us. We returned home to batter Huddersfield, winning four one, Guest with a hatrick this time around taking him to fourteen goals in just six matches! Nattermann also netting. The first leg of the Champions League First Round Knockout saw us away in France against St Etienne, losing out two one here. Dunn had brought us level before the break however the French side stole the win in the final ten minutes, we got an away goal though. We faced a third Championship side in a row in the FA Cup as the Fifth Round saw us host Nottingham Forest and beat them by the same score we beat QPR, four one. Arregui with a brace and Guest with two for himself, again! We ended the month with a two one victory of Spurs, meaning we've done the double over them this year with Guy and Guest netting.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xyryzFoz3GkPCv4lni2npUdQ0aZwSbxFLMVYquO7.png

We're still in that Premier League race and pushing for our first ever top tier title. Man United lead the way and are a point clear of us whilst having a game in hand as well. Man City, a point behind us also have a game in hand and can jump us but with ten league games to go, we've got to be considered in with a shout of winning it this year. And with us thirteen points clear of Chelsea we're set for another record finish in third if we don't mess up late on.

Into March and this would see us finally end our run of being in all four competitions this season. We head into the month in the Premier League title race, along with us still featuring in the Champions League and FA Cup, whilst facing Chelsea in the EFL Cup Final this month. We also had the youth intake, could we finally get a gem through our youth ranks and onto bigger things...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/C7ifSlviXgyD3ZersCSDxr7xS4fPZAEuItTsWuZZ.png

Not quite a gem, but it seems players are beginning to grow over the years. The top couple of players will be kept and sent out on loan for the next couple of years to see if they can grow over the year or two they are with us.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yjIkH4MzIirJ0qb6IJqEI5pW2BWww0SqseGU71yI.png

EFL CUP CHAMPIONS!! We've added another 'new' trophy to our trophy cabinet as we have now secured the EFL Cup with a narrow three one victory over Chelsea in the Final to kick start March with a party. We started brilliantly and bossed play, Fofana netting after sixteen minutes before Guy made it two nil after twenty. Come the break we had a comfortably three goal lead, Fofana netting again. We went on to concede in the second half but held strong to lift the EFL Cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/h89A4yL4rgm14lTGe3AOtOWcGy5NN0mOG0Wk2vRB.png

And that went on to set the tone for the rest of the month, with the cup Final win we went on to win a further four matches out of five, just losing one to Liverpool. We welcomed Middlesbrough for our first league game of the month here two own goals in half an hour helped us on our way to a three nil win, Brier netting in between those two goals. As we welcomed AS Saint Etienne in the Champions League First Knockout Round Second Leg, we played superb to overturn the two one aggregate score, shocking them with a seven nil win! Arregui struck the only goal of the first half before Guest hit four second half goals, Dunn hit two and Nattermann rounded off the rout to put us in the Quarter Finals. Another home game in another cup, the FA Cup Sixth Round saw us welcome Man United and beat them on penalties three nil, we drew two a piece in the game. Guest gave us the lead before we fell two one down with half an hour to play. Dunn leveled things for us before we wrapped up the win in the shootout. Our only defeat of the month came against Liverpool, losing two one before we traveled to Burnley and won four two to end on a high. Fofana, Guest, an own goal and a Torres strike secured a win for our final game of March.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/2H47dsJx0u5jO3SwoDqEYanonNzSvGUZFqrRSF0A.png

I'd say we're set for a top three finish, we're close to the top but could fall just short come the end of the league campaign looking at things. United still lead the way, two points ahead of us and a game in hand. Manchester City in third are a point behind us and also have a game in hand over us so could jump us yet. West Ham are fourth and eleven points off City in third. Surprising to see Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs tenth and lower this season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/TDxeLfmBpiyyCUBay96vrhHdGT3HzhtkRTx8QNv3.png

Champions League Quarter Final will see us face Arsenal over two legs which I'm more than hoping we can pass through them again. The first leg is away from home which could be vital once again as we'll face fellow London side at home for the all important second leg.

And so into April, the penultimate month of a very, very enjoyable campaign, possibly the most enjoyable one I've had on this career. Not only are we competing for a Premier League title but we're in the race for a Champions League crown. After reaching the Europa League final last year, we aimed for the Champions League Final this year. We've got both legs of the Quarter Final up this month against Arsenal as well as the FA Cup Semi Final against Stoke and of course plenty of Premier League action.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ySRmhi7KGfCNJODAvOrhhyEKztwO65w6g2ASpNi2.png

A mixed month, no draws slipping in but five wins and three defeats, unfortunately the final defeat of the month a very costly one it'd seem. We beat Reading four two away from home to start the month with a bang, there were goals for Briere, Dunn, Guest and Nattermann. A trip across London to face Arsenal in the Champions League Quarter Finals saw us narrowly miss out but score three away goals in a narrow four three defeat. Guest, Briere and Torres on target for us. Torres then went on to net a brace at home against Brentford in a three one win, Dunn also netting, his goal came four minutes into injury time. The Second leg of the Champions League Quarter Final saw us welcome Arsenal and beat them this time, two nil which saw us through five four on aggregate as Guest scored both. There was a brace for Torres against Southampton, but we lost four two. Back at home for the final time this month, we beat Everton four two, Toress, Dunn with a brace and Guy securing that win. We're still on for the double this season to as a Torres brace secured our spot in the FA Cup Final as we beat Stoke two nil. Finally our Champions League hopes could be over as the side who beat us in the Europa League Final last year on penalties, has beat us in the Champions League Semi Final five one. Alvir initially put us ahead in the opening minute. We'll need to win by four goals to progress now.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jF2b5UwMeZvRsReSokZn1KoFlHV7V3yiGQPQDTOI.png

Whilst it would of been fitting to win the Premier League this season, our twentieth season as a club, its looking unlikely now as Manchester United lead the way with them having just two games remaining this season and top by a point over fierce rivals Man City. Like us, Man City have a game in hand and could jump United, alternatively we could jump City if results went our way and close the gap to three points to the league leaders but their strong goal difference is looking likely to hault our chances of the title. We've secured Champions League football next season though and another progressive record finish in third at least, West Ham need a single point to keep Chelsea out the Champions League next season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/S0a8ynWoFNRjDg0VdutHRU0qszO1irfHgFf2aLA3.png

But the domestic brace could still be on this season as we will feature in the FA Cup Final this season and face relegation candidates Swansea. They're currently sitting down in eighteenth position this season with two games to go. They can still survive on their own results with a couple going their way but we have to be favorites to scoop both domestic top flight cup competitions this year.

And so we enter the final month of an enjoyable season which has seen plenty of highs and maybe just one or two lows all year. We've been exceptional and thats shown as we've reached the EFL Cup Final and lifted the trophy as well as reaching the FA Cup Final. We are outsiders for the Premier League but with three games left still stood half a chance whilst it seemed all but over against Manchester City in the Champions League after losing five one in the first leg.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/tQhMP0bZ52Uwk5Mrt6mb004XQG6uZ23Bt75j8vUu.png

Our Premier League hopes were over by the final day when we lost to Arsenal, our Champions League hopes were ended by Manchester City in the first leg anyway. Our main focus was the FA Cup Final to try and seal a double this season. Our final away game this season kicked off the month with a three one win over Stoke. Joey Torres hitting all three of our goals. We grabbed a one all draw against Manchester City in the Champions League Semi Final Second Leg as it finished one all, Dunn fired us ahead but we were already out. We welcomed Swansea in the league, who we'll face in the FA Cup Final, and beat them three one with Guest netting a brace before getting injured and Torres netting our third goal. Arsenal beat us on the final day one nil.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/AM3FiJCl9i6tyyoovzKRKWcHmAF3415bXQt127DS.png

Third in the Premier League come the end of the season and its been a very good one for us, another step forward from our fourth place last year and not bad for our twentieth season as a club. Of course I wanted us to win the title this year around and it would of been fitting. But third will do. Manchester City jump Manchester United who picked up just two points from their final two games to blow the title. We finished just eight points off the top this year. West Ham also head to the Champions League this year whilst Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal head for the Europa League. At the other end of the scale Burnley and Cardiff are relegated and will be joined by FA Cup Finalist Swansea.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/1AJSv1VX8gKmqzhzaf5NcBa245RDzhXHD59bIv8w.png

CHAMPIONS! The Double secured! We have clinched our second ever FA Cup and it comes just two years after our first one. It was an easy Final for us where Swansea barley even turned up. Twenty six shots, twenty on target and winning four one. Briere fired us ahead on the ninth minute with Arregui and Mazurek making it three nil before half an hour was even played. We conceded one before the break but that didn't dampen our spirits as Dunn went on to make it four one, after Guy had been given his marching orders for two bookable offences.

The curtain comes down on season twenty and what a season it has been for us. We scooped the domestic double, taking both the EFL Cup and FA Cup to our trophy cabinet for the season whilst also finishing third in the Premier League and crashing out the Champions League Semi Final. It sure has been a fun season and now just a quick recap at the end of the season before a twenty season round up later on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3eOBSXW1YCYeJl7axmolIBIxTh9QUdmRZm3GNzUK.png

In goal once again Grabovac continued to impress and played all but nine matches as he got injured towards the end of the season. He ended up with a seven point zero two rating, the same as Pouget who played nine matches. Mojovic in defence amazingly assisted seventeen goals this season whilst our highest scoring defender was Nieto with three. Nigel Dunn made fifty three appearances this season and that saw him score fifteen and assist fifteen. However our man of the season played up front, started sixty two matches, scored forty six and assisted nineteen, picking up the highest average rating of seven point four eight was Nigel Guest.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nz7WJLus9oEa7ERBTcE2VtiiBurN9UX6fMXMy4RO.png

Our finance took a bit of a hit this year mainly because we are now spending more on wages, however we made a lot of money, thirty five million for our league finish and another six or so million for our Champions League finish which has seen our balance rise to eighty nine million again.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/dF8K9IUOJ8fZVfnJIMRJO14ILCvB4MOmUUxNktmK.png

And with that, the board decide to spend even more money which is good. We're becoming a spending club but mainly on facilities now. Our youth facilities and youth category ratings are on the rise once again and the board are going to expand the stadium once more. It'll cost us twelve million pounds to add 6,555 more seats and take our capacity up to 28,905 all together.

England - European Championship 2036

The summer would wrap with the European Championships, my second ever international tournament. We had taken England from twenty fifth to third in the World Rankings and finished third in the World Cup. Now we head into the European Championships trying to go two better and winning the competition. I was in two minds as to whether to stay on with England or not.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PS1FDnYRFcCGiDuqOKpG1iDO5rx825HwohFdYTgK.png

Well, not a great run of form in the group stage thats for sure, one win, one defeat and one draw. We kicked the tournament off in style with a four nil victory over our near rivals Wales. Twibey gave us the lead, Andrews netted a brace and our very own Guest also struck. Guest also netted a brace in a four two defeat that shocked us from Czech Republic. We finished the group stage with a one all draw against Holland. Bridge netting our equaliser.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZLjtdQEs4b6wh4atNmvkvSNwD1qjMfcOdheedGc2.png

Luckily four points was enough to see us through our group, in fact, three points proved to be enough as well. Czech Republic are the surprise groups winners and not only that, they're unbeaten through the group stage with two wins and a draw. Holland also surprise us by finishing bottom, pointless and bottom of the group. Wales qualify under the best place third side with three points.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sZazqCliFpjCrS4Rg9TRsTbiw8tfsmO58LYve44X.png

The Second Round saw us face a strong Belgium side, the game was very even and could of gone either way, however it went our way with a two nil victory. Manchester Uniteds star striker Callum Rigby gave us the lead five minutes before the break before Bridge secured our spot in the Quarter Final spot.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EaSrPSyXhsBBpBFuEKT0JXq2ekEiPGR6Ha6nfM9D.png

The Quarter Finals, us vs Italy and another narrow win with another clean sheet. We were much better this time around even if the score doesn't show it. Bridge netted for us five minutes into the second half and that was that. A spot in the Semi Finals awaited.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sfEyqoJdGKMteLptrFdn70PC4TfbCOeFpU61Jiju.png

What a game, what a performance! Germany were left stunned by our attacking display here as we smashed them five nil, in Dortmund which would of hurt them as well. We had twenty one shots, twelve on target whilst they managed just five shots the whole game. Matthew Bridge was perfect this game, netting four goals. He had a brace after thirteen minutes with the other two coming in the second half. McConnell netted our fifth in injury time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/t3kpGFWH5vU73rO4iGSzTv7kvHiS5yDBuVyQJ3FR.png

How fitting is this, the final of the European Championship and potentially my last ever game in charge would see me reach my fiftieth match in charge. Its been a very fun stint with the national team and we've had two superb runs in both big international competitions we've faced now, could we see the Euros end on a high...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ju8D2wDTHb8CzZt0Uo81qO4Q9gC5VVfMzmdCx1pF.png

European Championship Champions! Switzerland couldn't handle us just like Germany couldn't in the Semi Finals. We were superb again, scoring five for a second game running to seal the title. We went ahead after twenty two minutes through Butler before Guest struck a brace before the break, his second from the spot kick. Fitzpatrick soon made it four nil after the break. We conceded an own goal before Rigby rounded off the tournament with our fifth goal.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lzL0HyvA7tqlzFklrkDlbHCHhED9cZsqDrWHS0cP.png
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zOSPWjDR1LeFMAb0Rs5kiVUQ8NOWxkTsbbCCx5QB.png

And so I've called time on my stint at England. I felt the last year it was time to step down. London City FC are really pressing on in the league now and we're competing for the league title and Champions League with the clubs reputation really growing and with my managers reputation risen over the last four years it was time to cal time on things. Fifty matches exactly saw us win thirty nine, draw four and lose just seven matches. Along the way we amazingly scored one hundred and thirty three games, almost three a game, conceding just twenty eight goals. We lifted one cup, the European Championships.

London City FC - 20 Year Review July 2036

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/oFeNEjb6C6kYaABAgFXU13ACkXTudtB9389kQu7k.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lISqx3vPxVAKmjw2wbXktwW6CFTlO7UuymTOeeDv.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EXIwpJ1zVcoq51xb7jZWyqySL6ePfuEGtUW9oZnC.pnghttps://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Um1Hw7Vn57UTY2xQB3JN17rxQD2Vn6RnwvJNF1tU.png

Its that time again for a quick round up, twenty years have now gone by and its been a pretty memorable rise to where we are now. From Vanarama National League relegation candidates to Premier League title hopefuls. We've scooped a few new trophies since the fifteen year review. Its been a very fun journey with tough times, very tough ones, but also some amazing days, months, seasons which has seen us become the club we are now. Anyway, a quick recap on where we started and where we are now.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EvsQhcraKJFiYcpsqngBL9QmYLeCFvzVvGU5wNvd.png

Once again the club overview screen to see how its gone over the years, on the left, year one, on the right, year twenty. The club have of course gone from Semi Professional to Professional, that was the case for probably ten years now. Our reputation has moved to continental now which is superb with our finances at Rich, being estimated a value of five hundred and ninety one million! Of course we now play at London City Stadium which currently holds twenty thousand seven hundred and eighty six seats but will be increased this year. We have good youth and good training facilities which will continue to grow over the years.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iR6lOMLIP5K841JUywGrmg3i2tWtUJHFePmlsvu2.png

Twenty seasons and each and every season we have managed to finish at least one position higher than the year before. Now thats some stat! The last three seasons we've finished seventh, fourth and then third in the Premier League so we're targeting a top two finish this time around. Our trophy cabinet has grown massively, back at the start we had just the English Spartan South Midlands Premier Division as I couldn't remove it. Since we've added a Vanarama National North and National league title, two FA Trophies along with the Skybet League Two and League One titles. Narrowly missing out on a Championship crown. But we now have the Community Shield, the EFL Cup and two FA Cup crowns to add to our growing cabinet.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/SM8VrrXlueYQtvu9IJMtUXmfJ9E39qw50dJK0lJy.png

The transfer window has been partly played and due to some deals this saw our transfer balance grow up to over one hundred million but we've since spent some. Back at the start of the career I think the club had two million pounds. About five seasons in we were in debt and as we went into the Championship I think we hit almost ten million pounds in the red at one point. Now we have a massive seventy one million pounds in the bank balance. We're a big club these days!

Season twenty one is here and we're about to get going. The summer was a busy one for myself as I faced the European Championships with England, and won it, I'd just like to add again, before resigning allowing me to fully focus on the job in hand with London City FC. We've had plenty going on with club news, pre season title odds, transfers, and there were lots of those, as well as friendly results and the first competitive game of the season, the Community Shield.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/8tw1SzdUkfziAoniX0m1d8LjbW5hkLnRaDe867uD.png

More progress and its good news for another year as we've moved up the European club rankings list following our Europa League final appearance two years again and then the Champions League Semi Final run last season, we now sit twenty ninth following a rise of sixteen places. We also moved up in the rich list, moving from twenty fifth to fifteenth in the World. As you can see, Spain also offered me a contract this summer, but its too early for a return to the international scene. One day I'll go back.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0WzkHAX9Zy2cuyo6kXME9k1jFcSo1zDA4SVfkFbZ.png

Pre season title odds suggest we're really in with a shout of the title this year, just 25-1 and I'm enjoying watching this get lower and lower each year. We are predicted to finish sixth, behind West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, City and United but I'm aiming for a top two spot this yea around, preferably that top spot.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Qoszuc6UFFVNXvdXuujwx2vqsrXMdTNp26Y4c3IQ.png

A very, very busy transfer window once again as we looked to strengthen again and try to bring in some more English faces this year again but it didn't all go to plan there. Eight new faces joined this year with us spending sixty nine million. We broke our transfer fee record on Sen from Schalke whilst taking two faces from Southampton, one from Everton, two from Arsenal and then two free transfers. We got Landzaat on free as he had no contract attached! You may notice Frik joined us on a free, he had played for us on loan from Chelsea before and was let go, a good signing again. On the otherside of the door we saw Torres cry about something of nothing and then leave to join Chelsea for twenty seven million. Johnston the only other playing leaving on a permanent deal, one point six million. Four players have left on free deals again.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uupCm0FmRqeDtAAPURAFZbTeW69w32Dy5ZWmoB0L.png

A full round up of the summer signings and as you can see, we should of strengthened in all areas this year once again. Four of the new faces are English which certainly helps us for our homegrown player status in Champions League games etc. Most I spotted whilst managing the national side. This sees transfer listed Keith Andrews join for just twelve and a half million and hes valued at double that. Two English faces from Southampton, following keeper Pouget retiring this summer we needed a new keeper, Wall comes in and will be tough competition for Grabovac in goal. Frik rejoins us after a year on loan after a couple seasons with Chelsea he was released, a free deal and good value for us. Sen broke the transfer record for the club but he will live up to that price tag. Arsenal sold us Landzaat for free as he had no contract attached (perhaps a bug) whilst we scooped wonder kid, nineteen year old Tagoe who may go on loan still yet. The final deal of the summer to date saw a free transfer for young star Ben Burton, again he may go out on loan.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HjgCzRJWQ3PdN0Np4d2uDegQ9CqtqJJJRfESeFuC.png

The squad ratings are looking good and we can begin to trust these now we're in the top tier, signing top players and predicted to finish in the top six. Two quality keepers who will definitely fight it out for the number one shirt this year. Our defence also looks very good and competitive which I hope can see us keep even more clean sheets this year. Midfield is perhaps a bit slack but our attacking midfield and strike force should help us score plenty, Guest will be a key player for us again this year.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HVVdNOVlIGTEP3qGUTMheWd6TAdkrUSZFrV6s719.png

Due to the European Championships I forgot to organise friendlies, well, extra friendlies. These were the ones set up by the assistance and thankfully we went through the three of them unbeaten. We drew one a piece with Zenit, beat feeder club Stevenage before we beat French side Stade Rennais five nil at home, Guest netting a hatrick to put him in good shape for the season ahead.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Yjj20mDB0ei1ZdBbOs9cMOXkdE3yp19nEWQX9BqF.png

Champions! Two out of two for the Community Shield. We won it against Arsenal against the odds a couple seasons ago, we've won it here against the stats against Manchester City, but perhaps deserved it for our comeback display. An own goal sent Manchester City ahead before Skorupan made it two after thirty six minutes. After the break Briere made it two one but any chance of a comeback seemed dead when Skorupan netted again with half an hour remaining. Our heads didn't drop though, Briere made it three two with fifteen minutes to go and four minutes later Arregui secured a draw to send the game to penalties. And thats were summer signing and debutant keeper Wall made his mark, saving three penalties as we won three two after five penalties each.

London City FC - August 2036

The season was underway in the last update following a busy summer and then going on to lift the Community Shield on penalties against Manchester City. August threw us three more matches, these were obviously all Premier League games as this year we would enter the Champions League straight into the group stage and that draw is included come the end of the update.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/48NXFEa5JLGW4jyMb6jD19JO2fqGCEtvbrQ0Af7B.png

Following that Community Shield success we've taken that into the season with three Premier League games and three Premier League wins as we start as we mean to go on. We traveled to London rivals Arsenal to start the month and narrowly beat them one nil, Guest netting twelve minutes from time. We made it two wins from two and two clean sheets on the bounce when we beat Reading at home one nil, Natterman this time netting seventeen minutes from time. The month ended with a fourth win from four and three out of three in the league as we beat Leicester five two. Briere netting a brace, his first after just two minutes. Tragoe got his first ever goal for the club following his summer move whilst Arregui and Dunn were also on target.

Top of the league after the opening month and thats how we need to carry on this season. Only us and London rivals West Ham have managed to win all their matches so far, three out of three and we sit top by a single goal over West Ham. City, Chelsea and United have all started well whilst Arsenal are really slow out the blocks this year with one point from the opening three games.

Its another tough Champions League group draw for us as we'll face French side PSG for second year running along with Italian Serie A side Juventus and FC Red Bull Salzburg will round up the group. I'm confident we'll at least finish third in this group but id we can qualify again that'd be perfect. We already know we can beat PSG.

We march into September unbeaten after four wins from four games and having scooped that Community Shield we were fully focused on Premier League action last month. However September would see us try and open the defence of our EFL Cup with a game against Championship side Derby whilst also kicking off our Champions League campaign against French giants PSG who we faced last year in the groups too.

Still unbeaten in domestic football however our European campaign started with a defeat as PSG narrowly beat us. The month started with a league win against Everton, winning three nil with our third clean sheet in four games. Briere continues his great start to the season, netting after ten minutes with Arregui and Andrews also on target. We welcomed PSG and narrowly lost, an even game which ended one nil to the French giants. We traveled to Nottingham Forest in the league and won six three, a nine goal thriller. Briere netted in the opening minute with Guest netting after eleven minutes. Mojovic struck a brace whilst Dunn and Andrews were also on target for us. The EFL Cup began with us defending our title away at Derby in the Third Round, we won four three. I had a rotated side out originally when Andrews gaveus the lead. We found ourselves two one down then three two down with Fofana netting before Guest struck a brace off the bench to see us through. Finally we end the month welcoming Southampton and scoring six for the second time in three matches as we won six one here. Bernier and Landzaat netting their first goals of the season. Guest and Briere also had a goal each whilst Chris Bird netted a brace.

Six wins out of six in the league and we're top and clear! We've racked up eighteen points and a plus sixteen goal difference already this season which is brilliant early on. We've already opened up a five point gap on the remaining pack with both Manchester clubs and Tottenham all on thirteen points. We're eight points clear of West Ham in fifth and Chelsea in sixth and we are the only unbeaten team to date. Arsenal sort out their miserable start and are now up to eighth.

Unbeaten in the league after six games from the opening two months and our EFL Cup defence had began. We also kicked off the Champions League campaign for the second straight season. Into October, despite a long international break, we still managed to face six matches over three difference competitions, could we continue our strong start in all three competitions come the end.

An unbeaten month and not only that, it proved to be six wins from six as we really showed the power of the club this month around. It started with a brilliant win in Italy as we beat Juventus in the Champions League two one. Guest put us ahead from the spot just before the half hour mark. Early in the second half it was one all before Landzaat secured the win. We returned to England and headed to Middlesbrough to beat them by the same scoreline, this time Arregui and Mojovic netting for us. Our first of two home games this month saw us welcome Watford and saw us win five nil. We thumped them with Landzaat, Arregui and Guest netting one each whilst Briere hit a superb brace for us. Another trip in the Champions League, this time to Austria as we beat Red Bull Salzburg and beat them three one. All three of our goals came in the first half with Guest, Landzaat and an own goal helping us across the line. West Ham welcomed us and saw a narrow win go our way in a five goal thriller, Guest hitting a hatrick before we ended the month welcoming Bretford in the EFL Cup Fourth Round with Guest netting the only goal of the game.

Nine played, nine won in the Premier League and we look unstoppable at this stage of the season, could it be a season of the unbeatables, unlikely as the only 'top team' we've faced so far this season is Arsenal IIRC. We sit five points clear of second place Tottenham whilst both Manchester clubs sit seven points behind us in third and fourth whilst a further five point gap then follows.

PSG hold the top spot halfway through the European Champions League group stage with three wins from three and a plus eight goal difference. We currently sit second with six points whilst Juventus are third with three points. We'll need to ensure we take maximum points at home against Juventus and especially Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg if we want to progress.
