We go into March with three months of football left to play and still in the hunt for a trophy this year, or even all three if we can stay at our best for the remainder of the year. We've already missed out on two trophies this year in the Final, now we regain focus. The youth intake is in, along with action from the Premier League, FA Cup and a big second leg against St Etienne in the Champions League as we try and turn the tie.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Vz1XPYV2M9qOXCjbrrqyBTkxjwxG3HTHh03keUmF.png

Perhaps slowly getting better on our youth intake. Luke Cooper the best of this batch of youngsters.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QOTjVE7Ajg4bZ9d45qJhcuFcH9SOGKN5qpZLXVUG.png

Here we go then, five more matches, a collapse at the end of the month against London rivals West Ham, but four wins before that which saw us progress again in the FA Cup and Champions League. We traveled to Manchester United and increased the points gap between us and them, winning four two with Bird, Wood (x2) and Hoppe securing the big win. Back at home we welcomed Watford and won three one, Landzaat, Andrews and Arregui striking for us. FA Cup gave us another kind draw in the Sixth Round, beating Middlesbrough three one as Dunn netted early, late second half goals from Arregui and an own goal got us through. The big Champions League First Knockout Round second leg saw us turn the one goal difference to win three one against St Etienne. Wood got us off the mark bu we required late goals again with Guest and Nattermann striking. The month ended on a low, losing four one to West Ham.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PqUAhK5Y9Gp6oBgffRZnrtZDwlf1ZcQzzPynZucE.png

Eight matches left to play this season and we're still just four points clear of the Red Devils despite our win over them at the start of the month. There is a further four point gap over Manchester City in third whilst fourth place Arsenal and just ten points behind with eight matches to go its a tight run in still.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yvVFh4GKy13prl5NZlzoUqITuEzuNFyp9YLsD8Vh.png

Champions League Quarter Final tie sees us travel to Spain first of all to take on Barcelona before returning back to London for the big second leg tie. I'm confident we can progress through to the Semi Final for a fourth season in a row, we've not lost to the Catalan side in four head to head ties to date.

The penultimate month of the season is here again as we near in on another league title, bar us blowing our lead and our form going out the window. Last month West Ham beat us, guiding us to our first league defeat all season but we continue to aim for our best for the last two months. A big month awaited with more Premier League action along with the FA Cup Semi Final match against Forest and both legs of the Champions League Quarter Final against Spanish giants Barcelona.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wKGPfHMidZaPvd8cKXZLmwYtb1oKrK9JO4ERNHrU.png

Well a busy month but a superb run saw us remain unbeaten and in fact, winning seven of our eight matches across the month with two wins over Barcelona in that. A home match against Fulham was where it started, winning five two with Wood netting a hatrick and Landzaat and Sen providing the other two goals. We then drew nil nil away at Leicester before traveling to Spain and beating Barcelona there three nil, Wood netting a brace with Guest also netting. Back at home we welcomed Tottenham, winning two one as Dunn and Sen sent us two nil up early. The Second leg of the Champions League Quarter Finals saw us welcome Barcelona and record a second straight forward win as Guest and Arregui (x2) provided the goals The FA Cup Semi Final provided no competition as we beat Championship side Nottingham Forest four nil. Akoli hit a hatrick with Dunn netting in injury time. Two more wins came to end the month, beating Barsnley away one nil and Swansea at home two one with Bird hitting both, the second seven minutes from time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/G0GBsnkO8vDhKzpV8buko3OAtUA840zoNab4VPBb.png

Three league games remaining this season and they'll come next month. We've secured a Champions League spot next season, starting in the group stage as a top two spot has already been confirmed this year. We sit six points clear of Manchester United in second place so should be our title for a third consecutive season but will keep fighting till the end. Everton and pushing for Champions League football next year, jumping Arsenal in fourth for now.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qwD1jLn62s6UJ2l1ysaTHwnr6A5A4jKa8wJcREX3.png

Manchester United are listed as our only rivals on our club screen and I'm starting to see why. It seems to be us vs them in every competition lately. Community Shields, FA Cup for the second season in a row we meet in the Final. We're topping them in the League and we'll face them in the Champions League Semi Final for the third season running! Perhaps this time we can make the Final...

And so here we go then, once again the final month of the season with the domestic side of things coming to an end. We go into the month knowing that one win will secure us the league title from the three Premier League matches we had left this month I was expecting that much at least to secure it over Manchester United again. We also faced the Red Devils over two legs in the Champions League Semi Finals and the FA Cup Final, here is how it all panned out.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rc6jvTTLjNOZjs7VVHEwL43qH9riyf9sTb7xrie7.png

Well, we really did capitulate this month thats for sure, one win from five matches, zero wins from three Premier League matches, only games we remained unbeaten were the two Champions League legs. And thats where we start, the trip to Old Trafford saw us draw to Manchester United in the First Leg of the Champions League Semi Final. We trailed two nil at the break, trailed two nil with ten minutes to go, yet it finished two all as we went overload and saw Wood and Sen bag two away goals. A trip to Anfield in the league saw us lose one nil before returning home for the Second Leg of the Champions League Semi Final. No issues here, a brace from Wood put us in our first ever Champions League Final. But that didn't boost things in the league as we lost one nil at home to Southampton and two nil away at Manchester City, was it enough for the League title though.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PAklDvZl6db4fzI8w56R5eSSocomAhzSHlSmPxzV.png

It was, somehow. Despite losing our last three matches in the league we hold on to our title. Once again it would seem Manchester United had a dreadful run in to see us take the title by three points. Somewhat ten points off the point total we got last year. Manchester United take second, Everton moved up to third with Chelsea taking fourth spot. Arsenal head into the Europa League along with Manchester City and West Ham. At the other end Leicester, Barnsley and Cardiff all miss out staying in the Premier League and return to Championship football.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ldeop5sAnCut7RkMcDEbrXUl1jl1lGc0yPlv7GYj.png

FA Cup Champions for a fourth season running and our fifth FA Cup title in six seasons! Absolutely superb for us this competition. Manchester United perhaps deserved it looking at the amount they pampered our goal but we held strong. Akoli had given us the lead in the thirty second minute, only to be ruled out by Rigby equalising a minute before the break. Guest would be the man to score the winner though, netting in the sixty seventh minute. The domestic double secured with the FA Cup and Premier League title.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yrIBNgo6fwDNx7pbdIoBSmFU5UBrLVZNKfifG6d8.png

Our first ever Champions League Final will see us go up against German giants FC Bayern Munich. It'll be a tough encounter for sure, however we haven't lost to the red side in Germany in the past four head to heads in which we've faced them.

London City FC - Champions League Final 2039

Here we go then, the biggest game of our history, the biggest game ever for London City FC as we face our first ever Champions League Final. Having reached the Semi Final the last three years, losing to Manchester United in the previous two and Manchester City the year before that, we've come close but never quite there. We have only ever faced one European Final and that was the Europa League, losing to Manchester City four seasons ago. Now we go toe to toe with one of the biggest teams in Germany, in the World, Bayern Munich, could we come out on top, all the stats running up to the game.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/gRFANRuwoTqtZk5UA1slLpxWkFCI4tJU9G5cAIwW.png

Bayern Munichs run to the Final has been a very strong one this year. They faced a group which included Legia, Sporting and Real Madrid, going through the group stage unbeaten with five wins and a draw from their six games. They then went on to beat Valencia four three on aggregate in the First Knockout Round. They narrowly scraped past Benfica on away goals in the Quarter Finals, picking up their only defeat in the competition in the Second Leg. Before they faced Real Madrid for the third and fourth time in the competition this season in the Semi Finals, winning the tie on penalties with both legs ending one all.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/9BgLUKMhk89THzONBumBpdfN0uQQJz1uaJkt494x.png

Our run I'd say looks tougher, especially once we were out of the group stage. We went through the groups with a perfect record, picking up six wins from six as Dortmund were very poor and crashed out with only one win. St Etienne almost caused an upset beating us in the First Leg of the First Knockout Round before we beat them at home. We went on to easily dispatch Spanish giants Barcelona, six one on aggregate before finally beating Manchester United in the Semi Final, third time lucky, four two to set up the big Final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mhguVmoKU5LJ2trZgp9UTWsXoUVsRU1VhP0Gt7YV.png

And so onto our head to head records with the German giants Bayern Munich and as you can see, we're unbeaten against them in four head to head ties. We first faced them in the group stage back in 2035, beating them two nil at home and three two away. The only other time we faced them was in the 2037/38 campaign where we met them in the First Knockout Round, drawing one all in Germany before beating them easily at home, three one.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DM36twcRC0j4aFEj4aZLgQtEJMdL0SgTDxoVQdAR.png

We go into the Final as favorites with the bookmakers, only just, but favorites non the least. We have just retained our league title for a third consecutive title whilst Bayern finished third in their league as they saw Schalke claim a second successive title in the Bundesliga. We are without defenders Nieto and Sen whilst attacking midfielder Wottrich was a doubt. Mazurek, Espino and Willis miss out due to not being registered.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/24AsCUX9nX7lP1ohSnNEJ4y6a9yLOYGO4HAuDprC.png

Half Time: We're behind to a strong starting Bayern Munich side. We've tried to do our bit on the pitch but it just hasn't pulled off, seeing Bayern hold a two nil lead at the interval. Schindler headed home from eight yards out after just sixteen minutes. We continued to press and then got caught on a counter attack and that saw Bresler tap home from inside the six yard box to double the German sides lead. We had it all to do in the second half.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GDwnZn1mMFsNsaJw9jabDLZtJSxDpLYg5zz2r1lX.png

Full Time: Champions!! What a comeback! We were class out there in the second half and pressed Bayern to park the bus, playing attacking football and it paid off. An early own goal as Arregui drilled in a cross saw us back in the game only a minute into the second half. We had to wait for the equaliser though, we kept pushing but eventually Arregui slotted home at the far post, game on! Finally we took the lead with ten minutes to go, a long ball over the top from Kabongo saw Sam Wood run onto the loose ball, shrug off the defender and slot past the on rushing keeper to guide us to our first ever Champions League title and secure the treble this year.

A sensational season comes to an end, we closed season twenty three off in fine style, taking home the treble with the two biggest titles in England, the Premier League and FA Cup along with finally adding the missing piece to the trophy collection, the biggest trophy in the world. The Champions League! As we came back from two down at half time to win three two in the Final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/WKt4esZg0eVhcomfHMCamIydb5UnRXcV024vc6Gy.png

Lets start on the left, the player stats. Our French international striker Thierry Akoli ended as our highest scorer for the club across all competitions as well as taking the Champions League goldenboot. He netted thirty seven goals for us this year. Fatih Sen took the highest average rating with seven point six whilst also taking the most bookings this year with fourteen. Arregui grabbed most assist with seventeen, one of those coming in the Champions League Final. Landzaat completed eighty eight percent of his passes across the season whilst Akoli picked up eight man of the matches. Onto Competitions And we scooped the treble and that pleased me especially as it was the bigger three we scooped too. Taking the Premier League title by three points, the FA Cup as we beat Manchester United in the Final and the Champions League where we mounted that superb comeback. However we couldn't defend our EFL Cup crown as Arsenal beat us by a single goal in the Semi Final whilst we also lost the Community Shield Final against Manchester United. Financially we're probably in the best state we've ever been in. We have a whopping bank balance over one hundred and thirty two million pounds as we made an apparent fifty three million pounds this season. Our transfer budget has stayed at sixty eight million pounds whilst we have three hundred and fifty thousand pounds spare in the wage budget.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7JfiIy9WPrGDM91mTSdDuoz2r00JsbJheaXGy1fh.png

Here we go then, the end of season player stats and its been another good season from the boys. Both Wall and Grabovac have shared the sixty three games this season between them with Wall playing twenty three and Grabovac playing forty. Frik was our highest scoring defender this year, netting six from the back, Hoppe made the most appearances, playing sixty matches for us this year. Landzaat had a pretty good season in midfield, playing fifty four, setting up ten goals and scoring ten goals. Arregui set up sixteen and scored sixteen in his thirty nine matches this year whilst Akoli hit thirty seven goals in forty give games.

What next:

A - Continue to dominate the Premier League and domestic cups, aim to be the biggest team in England, overtaking the current teams who have won the most trophies in each competition. As well as trying to get a bit of dominance in the Champions League

B - Turn the club into an all Englishman club and continue to dominate

C - Play out one more season so I can play the European Super Cup, World Club Championships etc.

D - Retire the save.

Let me know what you'd like to see now, whether its time to turn the save off or continue playing

Sensational final comeback @Dan! In terms of what next, I think any option would be fun but I'd go with C. Try to win the Super Cup and Club WC, then maybe retire the save? I wouldn't mind either way though, enjoyable save to follow.

The main question needs to be @Dan; are you still enjoying the save or are you becoming bored due to recent success? I would like to see you make an entire English (or even British) side and see if you can continue to dominate domestically and potentially in Europe as well.

Wow, what a way to win your first-ever Champions League!!

In terms of the future of the series, I'd like to see you keep it going for at least a little bit but not so much that it gets too boring - personally I'd like to see you push on until you become #1 club in the world and have won everything, and then retire the save. That'd probably be a combination of A and C.

Following a strong review from you readers, the career will continue to progress especially for now at least as we have a few seasons of enjoyment in it yet. I've decided to try and bring more English blood into the capital city side and seeming we struggle to get them through our own youth academy for the past twenty three years I'll have to buy them in for now. All the summer news, transfers, squad and results on the pitch follows below. We've also launched three new kits this year after having the same ones for the past two years. Including a ghastly 'golden shirt' for our Champions League celebrations.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/C6XYJZi3Xnd4LJTWwuBql5hTwYd3CLN0FRRtb5M8.png

Lets start at the top, Our strong run in the European Champions League has seen us move to second from eleven in the European club rankings as we sit behind only Real Madrid now, the previous competition holders. Its a great jump for us, we just now need to try and secure it. The richlist was also announced and we have moved back into the 'one billion club' and back in the top five as we sit fifth on one point one seven billion pounds. We sit behind Arsenal, Chelsea, Read Madrid and Manchester United.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/H56IVjNsrM771HEVK9hrm93abhZxhIPDqkZsI0Z6.png

Lets start with the outgoings this year and we made some absolute mad money! I've organised it by fee as we had a lot of players leave on loan deals, free transfers etc this season so it was the best way to show it. Yacouba Fofana is out of the club for a club record of seventy three million pounds, potentially rising to ninety six million pounds. Its a shame he joins Arsenal, a league rival as he had an offer from PSG too. Alex Tagoe who has a bright future, joins Fulham for thirty million whilst Arregui who played a big part of the Champions League Final moved to Liverpool for seventeen and a half million whilst Bertolotti joins Cardiff for just over sixteen million with potential addons. Four players join this summer, total spending fifty four million which sees us make an eighty two million pound profit to date. All four players are youngsters which i hope will pull strings over the next few seasons, three of them arriving from West Ham.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QzBwq9OjkCZGBEQhr6i6HBHNHhtXK8nnyCRbz8QX.png

Mainly defenders brought in this summer as I felt that was where I had least Englishman, they're all young and will grow into the game getting first team football this season for sure as we won't be shipping them out on loan.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QNa0UaE2aBYkumAxwEewN2IJCaCjFkRi35WeaJc3.jpg

We have a fairly big squad now, this is my senior bunch which includes some players under the age of twenty one, the Englishman I've signed with bright futures etc. But I'm planning to give them first team football this year. Four goalkeepers are now in the squad, Grabovac is transfer listed as hes had a few good years at the club but we can now get some good money for him. Still a few foreign players to dispatch however I don't want to push the whole squad out and and new faces in on day one of the changeover as it could upset it big time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/cVdVrZpAjQObJJncB3OtAWblyGKsTPuK8RQzOnhz.png

The results from pre season look very good for us and promising with all that has been going on. A draw with Kobenhavn kicked things off but then we won our next four friendlies including a three one win over AS Monaco, the French giants couldn't cope with Sam Wood up front. Onto the Community Shield which featured in July this year...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ObQOkFSXLWtihePZ0FPIe8d3ZgPFtLYJIcLK1H0W.png

A repeat of last years tie except this time we got way with the trophy this time. I fielded a starting full English eleven this time around and it definately worked out here. A Sam Wood brace securing us the Community Shield again. Wood netted the quickest ever Community Shield, netting after just twenty eight seconds. And despite the stats being against us, we netted a second, seventeen minutes from time to secure a two nil win.

Its going to be tough @Shedender there are so many good, young English stars in the game yet the teams like City and Chelsea want 50-100mil for them and I'm not going to spend stupid money, we'll build it up over time, the Fofana deal defintiely helped us financially too. We are still using @VP. tactic which seems to help us go unbeaten the first half of the season before we slip away.

We move into August and aim to start the season with another strong run, the last two years we've managed to build up strong, lengthy unbeaten runs and it was time to see if we could do it again. Following the success in the Community Shield at the end of July we have the chance to 'double' our trophy count for the season as early as August as we faced the European Super Cup for the first time ever. We also face four Premier League games in August.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uGZS7qaGeBeuCLUAoQflrkmcHcCe1imBX3fEUN4c.png

A pretty confident start to the season from the boys saw us go unbeaten in the opening month with three wins and two draws. Still conceding too many as we have already seen ten goals go in our net in just five matches whilst scoring sixteen ourselves. A good trip to newly promoted Derby kicked things off where we scored all five of our goals after the break. Wood hit a hatrick whilst Wottrich struck one and Andrews was also on target.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5DfnZUlCBYr2U6z9c0IHBMc3BLMQy1aifusyNOKv.png

Champions of the European Superb Cup! It was a thriller too, we dominated the game, dominated that ball and won it late on. The game in Italy didn't disappoint as we went up against Europa League winners Leverkusen from Germany. We were behind after fourteen minutes when Borges netted only to draw level two minutes later through Wood. It went back advantage Germany when Borges hit his second in the twenty sixth minute to lead two one. However eight minutes later we had fought back again, two all, this time Hoppe netting from a corner. And we left it late to win it, Akoli coming off the bench and firing home in the final minutes.

Back to Premier League action we welcomed Southampton four days later and could only manage a one all draw, our goal coming from a Southampton player putting it in his own net, thirteen minutes from time. A trip to Watford saw the same outcome, just a point as we drew two a piece, blowing an early two goal lead built up by Wood and Andrews. But we ended the month as we started it, scoring five as we beat Spurs five three. Dunn, Sen and Andrews netting a goal each whilst Wood hit another brace, continuing his fine season to date.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/LUTY0XvfxJEs4rs11yEWdhFNQ8feTf3c1qqBE7Jv.png

Early days yet but Chelsea lead the way with twelve points from a possible fifteen so far this season. They're the only side in the top five to have played five games so can be overtaken by unbeaten Manchester City and Arsenal if they both win their game in hand. We sit fifth at the moment on eight points as those two silly draws cost us early on. Just three of us unbeaten to this date.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QwoU6ozzHXO02WeaioYDKkf4n06rZVf0MmFkIOjp.png

And to end, our Champions League group as we look to defend our title. It'll be hard work but we will give it a go. The group will be tough as we face Paris Saint-Germain for a third year in five in the group stage. Spanish side Valencia will also join us along with Bulgarian First League side Ludogorets. Obviously I expect us to advance from this.

**If anybody fancies their hand in kit designing I'm more than welcome for some to be submitted via PM to be used next season and of course I'll let everyone see and know its your work.

Following another unbeaten start to the league season we head into September hoping to continue it whilst I try and give my Englishman a bit more game time this season. We'd face a month with plenty of premier League action along with two Champions League matches as well as kicking off the EFL Cup as we looked to win it back after losing it last season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xfo6kTN2Iee1DKCik4b4UNAm7gYAkouHhy5xClXx.png

Well, another strong month and only drawing the one match and that was against Manchester United so can take credit from that. We welcomed Manchester City to start the month and played out a three two thriller, another brace for Wood whilst Dunn netted in the second half. A trip to Bulgaria saw us take on Ludogorets and they gave us no real competition as we started our Champions League group with a four nil win, all four ggoals in the second half as Akoli hit a hatrick and Dunn also found the net. Our only draw this month saw Manchester United come to us and end three all. A trip to Championship side Cardiff saw me rotate the side a lot. We still didn't struggle as we advanced from the EFL Cup Third Round with Godwin. Andrews and Dunn netting in the three one win. Another away trip, this time to Liverpool as we beat them two one. Wood and Andrews netting in the first half. Ending the month with a two nil win at home against Spanish side Valencia as Wood hit a brace to secure a the win.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jtazFqhhRDNTLsXJr0s5Qirx4VD8oc2CJvueXzNJ.png

Big surprise to see Everton leading the way at the top of the table after seven league games. We're second, level on points with them however trailing on goal difference. We're also still unbeaten unlike Everton who have lost two already this season. Chelsea are third, also level on points with us two at the top of the table. Early days yet, but we're there or there abouts again this year.

Unbeaten again in the opening two months of the league season and in all cup competitions to date. We move into October with the aim to try and continue our superb unbeaten run and who knows, potentially beat our current unbeaten record. Six more matches awaited us this month with four more Premier League games as well as another game in the Champions League and the EFL Cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/340IY2ERoDo3lFypq3glq94H8JOndiIxfqi4L3vs.png

Sam Wood' on fire, your defence is terrified! Sam Woods on fire, la la la la la la la la la la la la! Our unbeaten run ends as we faced QPR for the second time in four days, but before that, five more wins on the bounce. As we kicked off the month at home against Swansea we won comfortably, five one as Sam Wood started the month as he'd go on, netting four of our five whilst Akoli converted a spot kick. It was another four for Wood in our trip to Reading where we won six four. Along with Wood' four, Landzaat converted a spot kick and Wottrich also on target. Wood made it eleven goals in three games as we traveled to France and beat PSG five three, a hatrick for the young English striker along with an own goal and another penalty, our third in as many games, converted by Akoli. Just the one for Wood as we returned home to beat Huddersfield two nil Frik also netting inside thirteen minutes. A narrow one nil win in the EFL Cup Fourth Round, Wood netting the only goal against QPR. We finished the month on a sour note, throwing away a twelve minute two goal lead after Andrews netted twice but QPR struck three second half goals.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HIs4ZDiw36pU2fdxrw6eCRZmSGhNhpjd8vt77UpN.png

Top of the league though and in control by just a single point, could of been four points had we taken advantage of the leagues basement side QPR who picked up their first win of the season against us. Manchester City sit second in the league a point behind whilst Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal all sit a further two points behind in third, fourth and fifth. Manchester United a further point behind.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uOcCw4g7tWursy6KlFcA68dQXR6DfLriVM7xQmPc.png

Three wins from three in the Champions League and now in control of the group stage. PSG sit second, three points behind us however we've already beat them in France so confident we can get the points back at home in our next game. Valencia sit bottom and as it stands, could miss out on the Europa League spot.

After QPR annoyingly haulted our unbeaten run at the end of October we move into November hoping to put it right as quickly as possible. Form hasn't been a problem for us at all since sailing to the top of the Premier League, building some incredible unbeaten runs and now we aim to get a second one on the go this season. With plenty of league, Champions League and EFL Cup action this month we had the chance to keep runs going in all competitions before the Club World Championships begin next month.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7H82byFjltONH7DR5nNZvIU8uXGeAuV3qkJ6AyvT.png

Following QPR beating us at the end of last month we bounced back in fine fashion in November with four wins and two draws from our six matches. Welcoming PSG we made it four wins from four in the Champions League with Hoppe, Andrews and Wottrish all netting for us. A goalless draw at home against Middlesbrough in the league followed as I played a slightly younger side, the same side that faced Wolves away which drew one all as Da Costa scored. Our form picked up as I reintroduced the foreign players, winning two nil against Ludogorets two nil, Landzaat and an own goal before beating Fulham at home three nil with Wottrich netting and Wood hitting his only two of the month. Ending with a spot in the EFL Semi Final as we beat WOlves in the Quarter Final two one.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ChapwinAi9wdaBx3SLtUENz6bedMxVBo8WAWP2Zj.png

We sit second and the league seems tighter than ever after fourteen games. Our form hasn't been the greatest this year but with the introduction of so many English youngsters I was expecting us to topple a little bit. We're still very much in the title race though. Manchester City lead on goal difference with us occupying second place. The red side of Manchester are third, also level on points with us and having the same goal difference as we do whilst Arsenal are only a further point behind in fourth, however have played a game more. Spurs strangely find themselves struggling with just eleven points on the board after nineteen games.

December 2039 would see us enter a competition we've never, ever played in! The Club World Championship and we will face two games in that competition during the month. It was going to be a busy winter month with seven matches all together to be played over three different competitions. We faced two Club World Championship games, One Champions League game as we had already topped the group stage whilst playing four Premier League games.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/AaWTBxp64nob6bQmKWrIbN3Ypc0KCHL2C5qCS7Rh.png

Well a couple defeats over December but all in all it wasn't too bad, we won the Club World Championship too! It began away at Everton where an away goal and a strike from Wood secured the win. A trip to Spain saw us lose two one to Valencia after Andrews put us ahead after six minutes. The Club World Championship saw us face Al-Ahli in the Semi Final, winning that seven three as we played a heavily English side, Wottrich one of the only non Englishman, he scored twice as did Andrews. Dunn, Bird and Willis also netted for us to send us tot he Final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lTLMFMQLkBgSGgJpEqpQ7dvJdwYPvTHJ4xzQFBDs.png

Champions and the treble secured already this season! It was a narrow game against Tigres in the Club World Championship. It was a fairly even game, Dunn netted the opener, two minutes from the break from a spot kick. We conceded in the final minute though and headed to Extra Time and penalties. But we held our nerve here scoring all our spot kicks to easily win the shootout.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EGHJunWHLsmkMEGLrqMwKvNmAfLHL5vfhH6wyTam.png

This also saw me climb to the top of the English managers hall of fame! Its been a long time coming but I'm finally there. Now to try and scale the national hall of fame as well as the world!

Back to England and Premier League action we welcomed Stoke and beat them two nil, Dunn netting before the break and an own goal late on getting us across the line. Arsenal then beat us as we traveled across London to them, losing three one with Wood netting our goal Ending the month with a trip to Southampton to win two nil as Landzaat and Akoli were on target.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IFddHZbQOw97YALBZAUb5VlSZ6Khc3yRYbK5YHB4.png

We're fourth in the league at the moment but have three games in hand over the three teams above us at this stage of the season and can go above all three and back to the top of the pile if we win all three. Manchester united lead the table, level on points with second place Arsenal and just a point above Manchester City in third.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yhK6Mtwxv80rvajD4GpVe0ZiOiDm6NqW4jeztUfu.png

We were denied a perfect group stage for a second season as Valencia beat us in the final game of the groups but that didn't help them as they still finished bottom and we were already top and qualified with ease. PSG advance in second place with nine points whilst its Ludogorets who head to the Europa League for finishing third.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0urGpqjogtWhQKiS9Rd0h7aeaR6IZDSxqKOggqtu.png

For a second season we'll face French side AS Saint-Etienne in the Champions League First Knockout Round. We played them last year, losing in France before winning the second leg infront our own fans. I'm expecting us to advance as we did last year but hopefully we make it a bit easier this year around.

With the treble already secured this season it could be a glamours one for us indeed this year if we were to scoop the remaining four competitions we sit in. With another month and New Year here now, we faced the usual bunch of Premier League action, FA Cup and EFL Cup action. We could secure ourselves a spot in the EFL Cup Final next month come the end of January whilst progression through the FA Cup is the aim as well.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vgh2zCuJXaCJf73gaSLZvxMOnmEsKWreGW3N0kyz.png

The New Year has started alright, a slight blip after the opening game but we rectified that and sorted ourselves out from there on in. We welcomed Derby to kick off 2040, beating them one nil with Wood netting. The FA Cup Third Round drew us on the road against League One Hartlepool, drawing nil nil as I put out a young side. The EFL Cup Semi Final Leg One saw us travel to Middlesbrough and come back without anything, losing two one after Vaughan fired us ahead early on. Back to League action we traveled to Manchester City and beat them three two, Wood hitting a brace inside the opening twenty four minutes with Landzaat netting in between those two goals. We conceded twice but held on for the win. Welcoming Hartlepool in the FA Cup Third Round replay it was plain sailing with a stronger side to ensure we progressed, we won four nil. Three more home games followed seeing us come from behind to beat Tottenham two one with Andrews and Wood netting in the second half. We just about reached the EFL Cup Final after missing out on it last year, winning the second leg against Middlesbrough two one and requiring a shootout to see us through. We'll face Everton in the Final. Finally ending the month at home against Burnley and winning three one in the FA Cup Fourth Round, Sen, Wood and Hoppe our scorers.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ThbIOYu4to5t5WX7BdDvGzHOHMCv1V9PYuFqApkh.png

We're being made to work for the league title this year and our fourth in a row as the Club World Championship saw us four games behind our opponents now meaning all the pressure is on us to catch them up. Manchester United lead the way with fifty five points. Arsenal occupy second with fifty three whilst Manchester City sit third on fifty one points. Four points separating the top three sides having all played twenty five games. We sit fourth, seven points in front of fifth place Chelsea who have played three more than us. If we win all four of our games in hand on the top three we can move to the top of the pile and sit four points clear. Win three of the four and we'll got second on goal difference. The ball is in our court for sure.

We move into February and still in every competition going this year, we could scoop seven trophies this year if we remain in them all come the end of the season. We've already scooped the early season treble and this month could see u scoop our fourth trophy of the season as we face the EFL Cup Final against Everton. There are seven other matches as well, played across the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League returns.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IwaSInniHqxxu43yWNKzuByFvIdV9MS6cwLwJkLw.png

Another slow start to the month but we definitely picked the pace up and things went on. A defeat in the Champions League again leaves it all to do, we scooped the EFL Cup come the end of February. A draw against Chelsea kicked things off, coming from behind twice with Andrews and Dunn netting. We then lost three two against Premier League title rivals Manchester United. We improved as we welcomed Watford and beat them five two, seeing five different scorers with an own goal, Dunn, Bird, Andrews and Wood netting. A trip to Wales saw us beat Swansea three nil before welcoming Liverpool and beating them late on with Bird netting the only goal of the game six minutes from time. We move into FA Cup action where the Fifth Round saw us welcome Tottenham and again progress with ease, winning four two. Andrews, Wood and Bird netted in the first half, Wood had a second in the second half. A trip to France saw us lose against AS Saint-Etienne in the Champions League First Knockout Round first leg, same as we did last year, except its two nil this time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/gLR2Y3uDDUsisxtnYY6FrIF1oCrWKmiIqJDmk9yN.png

Quadruple secured! Everton really didn't put up much of a contest against us in the EFL Cup Final as we ran to an easy four nil victory. We battered them stats wise and come half time we led two nil. Akoli netted an early spot kick before Frik headed home a corner to see us comfortable and plane sailing early on. Second half it took a while, but with eighteen minutes to go Andrews sent us three nil up before Hoppe put the icing on the cake with our fourth late on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/YDvsgCYm4zvEmcw7XNd7CfhNOCxowyA0wGegyTSU.png

We're still fourth, but still got games in hand. We sit fourth and seven points over league leaders Manchester United as it stands, meaning if we win our two games in hand we can only go second in the league, we're going to have to work for another title with twelve games to go. Arsenal are three points ahead of us in second whilst Manchester City are level on points with us in third but have a better goal difference.

Four trophies secured this season and back home in our trophy cabinet before we've even played a minute of football at the start of March. To date its been a real head turning season, scooping the Community Shield, European Super Cup, Club World Championship and most recently the EFL Cup here we beat Everton in the Final last month. We now head into March trying to hunt down Manchester United at the top of the pile and close the gap as we seek our fourth Premier League title on the bounce as well as trying to recover in the Champions League and continue progressing in the FA Cup. Heres how the month unfolded.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NGCw0WmXHcAxyrvDEFGFbQxdUInd9lX1SKMxIXDi.png

Another poor youth intake, I should be use to it by now, but it still annoys me. One day we will get a decent regen through. Our youth facilities are being upgraded again.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/gwsbyoxMMvLJR91vIMs2uH0rYJiVzprg6gyot16z.png

In all honesty I can't see us winning the league title this year, I forgot about a game at the end of February so its added in now. We lost it against West Ham, a five goal thriller ending three two to the Hammers. Another trip on the road saw us go to struggling Huddersfield and draw three all, being three one up at half time we should of finished the job off. At home we welcomed Reading, winning three nil as Wood hit a brace and Akoli also struck. The FA Cup run continues as I think we're on for our fifth in a row, beating Leicester in the FA Cup Sixth Round two one, Sen and Wood striking for us. The Champions League First Knockout Round saw us turn the tie against AS Saint Etienne again, winning five nil at home as Wood hit a brace, Bird, Akoli and an own goal got us into the Quarter Finals. Two more league games to end the month, a trip to Middlesbrough saw us win two one, coming back from behind with Sen and Wood netting. Finally ending the month at home welcoming Wolves and winning three one. Wood missing through injury so Andrews took his spot and netted a brace, Landzaat also struck.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/MfCdgadYpXc9PFsIESmP3JGoGVTx1Zs5gkkGdIUi.png

Well, it looks like our hopes of another league title is now out of the question. Manchester United lead the way at the top of the pile, playing thirty two games and leading the group by nine points. We occupy second place, nine points behind the league leaders but do have a game in hand. I'm hoping we can close the gap and put them under some pressure on the run in. Arsenal are three points behind us with Manchester City a further pint behind.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Df90v629ePsSxAJLZJ5PvmBPxf6XeGUUszvYZPmc.png

The Champions League Quarter Final will see us face Spanish giants and league leaders Real Madrid. The First Leg will be in London with us at home before we travel to the Spanish country a couple days later to take them on at the Bernabau. It'll be tough but we will give it our all.

Into the penultimate month of the season and it really was looking likely that we were set to lose the league title for the first time in four years! Having scooped three on the bounce, a heavily changed side over the summer has seen us struggle a little bit for consistancy and now we find ourselves trailing Manchester United by nine points with a game in hand. But the month was to be busy with FA Cup, Champions League action as well as Premier League so it'd be hard to focus on just one competition.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EOvZEBPp7vwJIr3CMz7Q22M2M1XnsI8D8Zp7DOKF.png

Our Premier League hopes are dashed at the end of the month against Chelsea, we hold on Real Madrid just despite a tough second leg in Spain and have it all to do in the second leg against Manchester United. We kicked off the month at home against Real Madrid, winning four nil with Wottrich, Akoli, Landzaat and Sen securing a dominant first leg win. Back to Premier League action we traveled to Fulham and won two one, Wood and Bird netting. Real Madrid welcomed us in Spain and we lost three one, however it proved to be enough to see us through, Akoli netting us a late away goal too. Back in England and at home we beat Everton three nil as Hoppe and Wottrich netted in the first half, Wood netting a second half goal. An away day to a wet and windy Stoke saw us score twice in the first half to secure a two nil win, Wood and Akoli again on target. The FA Cup Semi Final saw us return to a former home, Wembley and beat Liverpool one nil thanks to a Godwin goal after seventeen minutes. For the fourth year running we drew Manchester United in the Champions League Semi Final, the First Leg away from home we lost four three, a topsy turvy game where we blew a three two lead. Wood, Dunn and Bird had netted our goals, however we just need to win one nil in the second leg and we're in the Final again. Finally ending the month against Chelsea who blew us away. We played a weaker side in preparation for the second leg of the Champions League Semi Final next.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QodW2SY65MCnKouO5M6syfApfiL1frjnLJaaldpE.png

Manchester United still lead the way at the top of the pile and sit seven points clear of us. We occupy second, a game in hand which can close the gap on the league leaders to just four points, but with just two games remaining for the league leaders its unlikely we're going to catch them now. We could of been in with a shout had we beaten Chelsea at the end of this month. Now our attention has to turn to scooping the FA Cup and the Champions League if we're missing out on this league title.
