Bonucci to Milan, £35m I think, great signing for Milan.
Grimnir
Poor guy.
chokosc
Actually think it could be a great move for both parties. West Ham were really lacking a decent keeper. Adrian and Randolph really don't stand out as even decent GK keepers. If he helps them concede less goals, West Ham could really be back better. Last season they were terrible but two seasons ago they were hard to beat. Hart, a CB and a good striker could see them really improve.

Anyway fair play to the Chronicle - Lejeune 'didn't put a foot wrong' - despite making a huge defensive error to gift them a goal. - Why do people feel the need to bullshit about new signings?

Riviere was a brilliant addition just three short years ago
Also when does a shite player stop being a 'squad competition' and a 'solid backup' and it then becomes a 'relief' to get them off the wage bill.
Like we've just signed Manquillo for £4.5m and have given away Vurnon Anita, and are in the process of trying to give away Haidara and probably Lazaar and Gamez for knock down prices.
Obviously its fine to be exicted for the new season to see new players - but why does everyone have to fucking delude themselves every year?

Tbh I don't recall major buzz about Riviere, but then he did arrive on the back of a half-decent campaign in Monaco (a phrase that's becoming more frequently in use this summer) so I guess the expectation was he might at least do something of use, rather than a few pre-season goals and one scuffed effort at QPR. Not that it matters now, mind.
As far as I remember, the only punishments UEFA ever really handed out were partial things like Champions League reduced squads and small fines, and even that's gone away of late.
Shola
But yeah Manquillo, Atsu and Joselu are all clever signings because we benefit from 'decent' squad players now and then in two years time when we finally get rid of them for knockdown fees we can hear about how we've saved £xm on the wage budget. The Sunderland accounting system.

Just hope we bring in VVD and another midfielder now though to replace Coutinho
EDIT: looks like its just ESPN reporting it atm so might still be bollocks
chokosc
How do you think you will line up? With Coutinho, obviously something like this?
Firmino
Could let Solanke lead the line? Who would you bring instead?
King Luis
Yeah something like that seems about right, Solanke has looked good in preseason but still a bit green i think. As for a replacement, that's what I'm worried about, hoping Klopp doesn't just use some of the money to bring in VVD and then not sign a replacement.

Grimnir
Who would you want in to replace him?
I think even if Liverpool don't sell Coutinho, they still need another rotational AMC. Could probably offload a striker on loan too, if not sell. I mean there is Sturridge, Origi, Ings, Solanke and even Woodburn who want to play in the position that Firmino takes.
chokosc
Yeah, it might be the case! With both Mane and Salah on the wings, the only thing I could think of is drop Firmino behind and start with a proper striker. Still, if one gets injured you will be a mess, similar to last season when Coutinho was injured and Mane was at the AFCON
Carroll.
I'd take someone like Sigurdsson though if he did go.
Dan
The only way I'd let Coutinho go is if we could agree a deal for Aubameyang from Dortmund, then put him up top and Firmino in the CAM role where Coutinho would of been. But thats very unlikely.
See we rejected another bid from Barca last night, this one rumored to be up to £90million with add ons. Klopp seems persistent to hold on to him, 22 days to go before the window shuts though.

He's already ruled out i believe, much the same as Sanchez...
chokosc
Well, he could only blame himself really for signing a five year deal. Has nothing to do but strike.
Sanchez I hope leaves. As far away from England as possible. Love him so much I need him to stay away from City. Think he will stay though after all.
VP.
Yep out with a bad back Sanchez style...

Liverpool have denied he has handed in a transfer request.
strange.
