First goal aside. I thought Rio was very good.

Evans made one or two crucial tackles in the second half at 3-2 as well.

Was Ferdinand not all over the place for the third goal too?

Don't think he was.

I had too many drinks at half time anyway, the second half is a bit of a blur. Still haven't seen highlights on TV.

He was.

His performance last week was poles apart from this, though he was left badly exposed by the midfield.

I didn't watch the entire match so won't comment on his overall performance but Ferdinand was at fault for all three goals, especially the last two. He was one of the guilty parties who failed to shut down Vertonghen for the first, he let Bale waltz right past him and couldn't make a tackle for the second and got completely turned inside out by Defoe in the build-up to the third.

Well the second goal he simply got outpaced by Bale, which is not exactly his fault, most people would have lost that race.

Defoe's movement dragged Evans out and opened up the space for Bale to run into and as a pairing they could have done better but they were exposed by Carrick and Scholes not tracking the runners.

If he's too slow, he needs to be able to stop quicker players another way. I know it's a one-off and not representative of his recent performances but simply saying that he's getting on a bit and not quick enough won't cut the mustard when you're playing for a top club like Manchester United. It's no excuse.

Ferguson was grumbling at the treatment of Nani at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Portugal winger went down under a first-half challenge from Jan Vertonghen, only for referee Chris Foy to wave away the spot-kick claims.

Three days on, Ferguson stands by his belief it was a penalty.

And he was happy to excuse Nani of any accusation of diving.

"Nani is not the type to dive," said Ferguson. "He has never been that type of player.

How does he say this shit with a straight face?

With the same technique he used to defend Welbeck.

In fairness to Nani he really isn't a bad diver these days. Certainly theres far worse in our team than him these days. Young and Welbeck for example.

Goal feast tonight please.

Hope Nolan scores (FF points) and Park, because I love him.

5-3 West Ham would be decent.

Haha QPR, so terrible. I dislike Mark Hughes (despite his time at United) so I'm finding it funny.

He's an awful manager so I want him to stay there. I want him to be as hated as Steve Kean was. I want this.

I hope Hughes sticks around for a while, Hopefully he'll take them down before he's fired.
