This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, may not apply in the Beta, FM Touch or in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2018 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed. It will also fix the fact that the German and Japanese National teams don't call up real players. The latter are fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. Due to licensing reasons, the number of Ajax non-playing staff is quite small and this file contains a fix to restore them. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

from within the editor data folder as they are no longer needed. Retaining them will see a duplicate complement for Ajax staff members.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly. The Japanese national team will be populated along the same lines too, but any Japan-based players are not in the official database and need a third-party add-on to be created and added.
Club names are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.

Looks like the Stuttgart II team is in a senior league, namely the Regionalliga Südwest, which is the regional fourth tier in Germany. This division is not playable, however fixtures are generated in the background - much like they are for all the other non-playable divisions in the game. In fact, if you go to the fixture schedule page for the Freiburg II, Hoffenheim II and Mainz II teams (all of which are in the same division), you will only see the odd friendly here and there, much like your II team. However, if you then check their players, they will all have statistics for matches that do not appear, much the same like your II players.
Keep in mind that the II team system in Germany is completely different to the English reserve league system. II teams don't compete in a dedicated reserve league, but in the main football pyramid, usually in the 4th or 5th divisions. In the future (and especially if you have some good players in your II team), it may be promoted to the 3. Liga, and they will have competitive, clickable and watchable games.
Basically, this is the way the game works and it's got nothing to do with this file, or any other file for that matter. Your players are playing games, but since they're not in a playable division, you can't see these games in the fixture schedule. You've got nothing to worry about, in short.
As an aside, I'm not sure what logo pack you're using but the Metallic logopack contains the Stuttgart II logo, so that looks to be a problem your end.
Edit: Hope that gave you some background at least, now that I see you've deleted it...

I noticed an issue with Livingston's stadium. It has them playing at Energy Check Stadium at Firhill when it should be Tony Macaroni Arena.
I checked the editor and it has two Energy Check Stadium at Firhill's. One should be correct for Partick Thistle's stadium.

It corrects a few minor mistakes, adds proper names for some clubs and youth leagues and adds entries submitted in this thread. The bulk of the changes will be save-game compatible, apart from the handful of club name changes.
As some of you may have realised, SI have added reserve and youth competitions to the FM database, instead of them being generated automatically in each save-game. This means that they all have UIDs and may need to be edited to fit into the parameters of this file. Any details which anybody can give me about these (and any other) competitions would be much appreciated

This fix does not edit player names. Are you running a non-Steam version perchance? Where are you not getting correct player names?
Excellent timing - I've re-released v1.1 to correct this. A minor change which is save-game compatible

Thanks very much, much appreciated as always.

And also a screenshot of the main menu when you load FM please?

That's not the right folder. The one attached is.
And why and how have you managed to get the FM17 folders in there? They're not needed!

Thanks mons, how stupid of me!

Did you re-apply the file after the latest official SI patch was released? You must do so.
You must apply this file before starting a new game.
Can you send me a PM? It's a bit complex and I don't want to clog this thread

There are full and complete installation instructions in English in the opening post and also within the download. If you have a specific query, feel free to ask, but all you would need to know is described in the opening post already
Please reply in English as I do not know Hungarian. If I can use Google Translate to translate Hungarian to English, then so can you to translate your reply

i.e. update the file with the teams, drop the hashtag and lose the nickname in order to get the full name?
Tommy Hughes
You can, yeah, with the only downside being that you lose the club nicknames for that save. (Not all of the nicknames, but the ones for clubs with fixed names.)
