Everyone is going to go on about Coutinho & Bobby not starting but the players on the pitch should have had enough to beat Everton.

Expecting much of Solanke and Ox to break down 10 men behind the ball. Should have started with them and rested them once the game was done, not the other way around.

Absolutely fuming like.

Blaming Solanke and Ox when Mane missed the chance to square it and have a tap in for one of the 3 players waiting for it

I'm not really blaming them, but they're not exactly the most creative players are they? A Henderson, Milner and Ox midfield has got to be amongst our least imaginative combinations there.

Mane was shite, hasn't been at it for a while tbf, but Salahs form has glossed over it.

It might have been a soft penalty but it was stupid of Lovren to raise his hands and give the ref a decision to make. There was very little danger, DCL was completely on his own.

2-1 win for City and just like most seasons recently, the title 'race' is a non-event.

No doubt but it's a refs job to make decisions and that was the wrong one, touching a players back doesn't warrant a penalty. There's no way you could say it was a push

6/10 performance by our recent standards. I'll take it, though.

All three goals this evening don't happen 9/10.

Lukaku must have had a 14 fold on with CITY as the last part of said acca. At fault for both goals really and missed an absolute sitter!!

Get Foster on the plane to Russia i say, going to need a keeper who can time waste as well as him and not get booked Fuck knows how the ref didn't book him, he started time wasting in the first 30 minutes

Did the same against us when we played them recently, they went 1-0 up after about 4 minutes and started time wasting instantly. I've honestly never seen a keeper time waste so much and never get booked as he always seems to do.

It wouldn't be so bad but only 1 of their players got booked, and he wasn't even on the pitch! Ref was a total whimp, its no wonder players time waste though when only 1 minute and 3 minutes are added on at HT and FT.

We were owed some luck and got some with the first goal and penalty. Also got some horrendous luck as well in a clear example of things evening themselves out within a game - Hogg's sending off certainly wasn't, and it looks like Kachunga's done himself a serious injury. Shouldn't detract from the fact that we murdered a decent side and should have put more past them. Saw the second goal referred to as scrappy, with the media falling over themselves to not give us credit. In fact, it was a wonderful goal. Pass, move, pass, move, good ball and, yeah, scrappy finish, but had Barcelona scored it we'd be commenting on the quality of the build-up. Watch MOTD now say Watford were dreadful and not give us the credit we deserve.

Referee's are so inconsistent, same ref who gave Everton their penalty last week and gives nothing when Rose pushes Mangala in the box, was way worse than the Lovren one as well

Yeah that should have been given today.

4-1 for City in the end.

I'll always be a big Hughes fan after his superb work for Rovers, but it'd best for him and Stoke to part ways now. Only going one way.

Don't think we've let in more than 2 in a league game since the 15-16 season before that mess. Can't wait to lose to Burnley and get stuck in 7th.

Might as well just re-post this every week tbh. Even if I gather we weren't as terrible as we have been today.

A few weeks ago, I would've had West Ham as ideal next opponents, particularly at the London Stadium. 7 points from 3 games means I'm not so sure.

If they can hang fire until after Boxing Day, that would be great.

So, how long before City lose?

Can't help but think it'll be a while yet, but when it does, it'll probably happen to someone unexpected rather than a top side. Either that or Champions League becomes priority in the second half of the season and focus wanders a little bit on league games.

Its even more strange that none of these seem to have really put Fabian Delph under a great deal of pressure in his makeshift left-back role, but given the riches going forward, maybe they've just gone for the "attack is best form of defence" routine.

I think this City team is probs the best team in Prem history tbf. You could give any manager their squad and they wouldn't make them play as beautiful or as effective as Pep has them playing. Genuinely believe they'll go unbeaten at this point

Things are going pretty well at the moment. I'm starting to seriously think we might win something this season.

Can't help but think it'll be a while yet, but when it does, it'll probably happen to someone unexpected rather than a top side. Either that or Champions League becomes priority in the second half of the season and focus wanders a little bit on league games.

Honestly, he's been targeted specifically by most teams we've played - at least, those who've felt able to attack us - it's just incredible that he's so rarely looked out of place. He's had a few weaker performances recently, but overall he's been really fucking good. It's not just that we're shielding him.

I second your opinion about our inevitable 1-0 loss at Goodison and/or Turf Moor.

Another 45 minutes of football passes by where I'm left wondering what is the point in Granit Xhaha being on a football pitch? Admittedly Iwobi, Bellerin (most overrated fullback in the league), actually the whole back four have been equally as bad but Xhaha manages it week in week out and still holds his place in the team. Feel sorry for Maitland-Niles who once again gets stuck at left back despite being a completely right footed central midfielder, no idea why he's had so much praise recently as he's been poor there in every match he's played throughout the Europa League.

One plus has been Wilshere but as he's got no support in midfield from Xhaha we're getting overrun so easily.

Absolute shite as usual i guess.
