Good on Gary Neville on calling out Ramires' dive. If there's any contact, it's because he's thrown his leg towards Szczesny's and he's bought the foul. Never a penalty.

He did touch him though didn't he?

It's stupid goalkeeping, if you leave a leg out like that in the box there is no player in world football who won't take that gift. You can call it a dive, or exaggerating contact or playing for the foul or whatever but at this level (in fact, at almost any level) you would expect a player to go over a leg left dangling like that, it would be stupid not to.

Is this has bad it's gotten? I can understand the "if there's contact he has a right to go down" argument, but now you're saying if a player throws out a leg the attacker in entitled to purposely throw is foot in the same direction and force the contact before falling over?

Fucking hell.

Surely your not being serious? No Podolski or Chamberlain and our bench is absolutely awful, nothing gonna change the game there.

As I said, it's been all about the midfield. Chelsea have absolutely dominated it thus far and hence been the far better side. That can obviously still change in the second half, not getting too carried away just yet. A third from Chelsea will kill the game, if Arsenal score it's back on.

There should be no argument about the penalty, there was contact.

If it wasn't given the Chelsea fans would be raging on here now.

You mentioned Gary Neville, watch this:

The simple fact of the matter is if you leave a leg out like that in the box players will go over it, that's not even a debatable opinion. You see it time and time again, week in week out. In every league, hell, in every age group, U11 players will do it even.

It's criminal defending to leave a leg hanging out, you can say Ramires cheated as well if you want (I probably wouldn't go that far, as I said, every player is a cheat then if you're calling Ramires one, because they'd all do it) but you're basically just having a go at Ramires because he was unconvincing at going over.

He moves his leg into a position where it could look like Shezney has fouled him and he's thrown himself to the ground. It's not a penalty for me even if Shezney was an idiot for leaving his leg out. If Ramires' right leg had gone on the same position he was going he probably would've gone around him.

Interesting, the first time really Cazorla's been involved centrally and he plays a beauty of a ball through

Not surprise Chelsea have been tosh after the break. Not controlling the midfield like earlier.

I can't believe we've lost this. A poor first half and shite refereeing has cost us.

Only saw the last 15 minutes, but they were brilliant entertainment. Snooker for 35 minutes then hope the Tottenham - Man Utd game is decent.

Giroud's only any good if the defenders he's up against are dwarves.

Even then he'll just balloon his headers over the bar.

Only consolation is that West Ham are in similarly poor form, and Diame just might go to Arsenal by then.

Liverpool? We can't beat Liverpool.

Liverpool are shit, you should beat them.

If you have more of the ball than them, which tbf you should do, they get confused and play shit. Only when we stopped being able to pass to our own team and they saw tonnes of the ball did they even look remotely threatening against us.

Anyway, I'm surprised Ferdninand's been put up against Bale again and that Jones is in midfield. I can see the sense of the later one, they absoloutly dominated us there at OT in the first half, but I'm not sure Jones is the right choice. Very little width too.

Aye, in the first half. We were just as dominant in the second as you were in the first, yet we didn't get a helping hand from the referee nor that little bit of luck. We deserved a point given our second half display and the contentious nature of your goals.

Good win but all it did was prove how inconsistent we are, both in the same game and from game to game...

We had one draw in the last three home games before today, losing to QPR and Swansea, as well as dropping a two goal lead against Southampton! Then we go on to boss the first half against Arsenal, just to almost lose it in the second (again). At least we won!
