Liverpool and United have a rivalry that goes beyond football, including geographical considerations.

Arsenal's only grounds for a rivalry with us is that they challenged us for the title at the turn of the century, I don't think you'll find any United fans who consider it a rivalry anymore, whereas we will always have a proper rivalry with you, City and Leeds regardless of how good they are.

Michu's signed a new contract with Swansea.

Michu has signed a new four-year contract with Swansea which will keep him at the Liberty Stadium until 2016, the Welsh club announced on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old said it was an "easy decision" and that he was "certainly happy with the club" that he joined in the summer of last year.

"It was an easy decision for me,'' Michu said. "I am living a dream here at Swansea. I'm probably enjoying my football more than ever. It's easy to play with this team and tonight I have the chance to reach the first final of my career.

"I'm really happy here in the city with the people, the club and the fans. Everyone has been so nice to me since I arrived. I think the club are happy with me because they have given me a new contract. I am certainly happy with the club.''

Michu was Michael Laudrup's third signing when he joined from Rayo Vallecano for £2.2m in July and while there were questions about whether or not Swansea could hold onto him, Michu was quick to reject such speculation.

"I'm happy here. I've read and listened to all the speculation, but it doesn't interest me, and that's why I've signed a new contract. I'm enjoying myself too much because the team always tries to play football. All I think about is the next game and helping Swansea be successful. This is my life.''

Although Swansea said he won't be leaving for less than £30mill before he signed a new contract, they probably value him at £60mill now.
