Hahahahaha, embarrassing.

Sure, the ballboy seems like a cunt. But, he's a boy. Hazard is a grown man and a professional football player, you can't do what he did. He pushed the boy over and then kicked him, like fuck was he trying to kick the ball.

Sure.

Not sure what right Williams has to comment on this after nearly killing RVP.

Sure, the ballboy was being a cunt (and probably deserved a kick), but Hazard has gotta realise that, with him being a full grown professional footballer, he can't do that to a young lad, so he fully deserves the red card

Has to be banned for longer surely. You just cannot go around kicking people. Chelsea need to take a look at themselves as well; Defending Terry, defending Cashley for shooting someone and now this.

The thing about this is, although Hazard obviously shouldn't have done it, it's not as if it was a 10-year old kid. The ballboy was 17 years old and acting the cunt. If he acting like such a dick anywhere else he was going to get a kicking. If it was a 10y/o I doubt Hazard would have reacted in such a manner, as it's a mischievous kid, not a 17y/o who knew fully what he was doing. I'm not condoning what Hazard did, but the reaction some people are giving on Twitter is hilarious, as if he murdered a 4 year old or something. With his foot.

You should stop right here mate. He kicked the fucking ball not the kid. If he gets more than 1 game ban I'll be pissed.

Rafa Benitiz just confirmed:

The 17 year boy came to changing room, accepted he wasted time. Both apologised.

Yeah, if he gave James Ward-Prowse or Luke Shaw a little kick, no one would call childline.

I thought a 3 game ban was the rule, subject to FA rules.

It's violent conduct, you stupid cunt. He'll be banned for 3 games unless it's successfully appealed - and that seems highly unlikely.

3 game ban is fine. I'll take it, just for Hazard's overreaction. But people are talking about a ten game ban and shit.

If Fellaini any got a 3 game ban for assaulting Shawcross 3 times then i'm sure Hazard will only get 3 games for kicking the ball while its underneath a cunt

Eden Hazard deserves a police caution for that, regardless of the fact the ballboy was being a dick. Anyone who defends Hazard is being stupid beyond belief.

Young Offenders, cheap ballboys as you don't need to pay them, as they are paying off they're debt to society

Regardless of whether or not the ball boy was being a cunt - which he was - you can't defend Hazard. He'll be lucky to get away with a three game ban.

A three-game ban and an apology will suffice though, given that it was heat of the moment, but still. Shouldn't use violence against a ballboy.

I sound like a catty bitch saying this, but there are some people on here who would be up for it if they were given the opportunity. Bian is a great example.

I can imagine Carroll or KL doing it and then arguing with all the away fans that say nasty things about Liverpool.

This.

I'm sorry, but that's retarded logic.

The ball boy was clearly a little shit and I hope he's reprimanded by Swansea in some form for purposely lying on top of the ball like that. That said, it doesn't detract from the fact that he was 17 years old and a ball boy, and players simply cannot man handle/ kick them, or whatever you want to call it. I can understand Hazard's frustration and there was no malice in the incident but at the same time ball boys, stewards and officials have to remain completely off limits when it comes to the players coming into contact with them.

I'm sorry but it's not retarded logic.

If the ball boy doesn't lay on top of the fucking ball then there isn't an issue, Hazard doesn't need to get the ball back from him, simple as that, you can't argue with that at all, it's pretty black and white.

Also if you're 17 you know better and if you don't then you shouldn't be allowed out of the house. I mean it's actually ridiculous that a ball boy would do that in a League Cup semi final. Well ball boys and stewards are most of the time left alone by players aren't they? Seems this incident happened because of the ball boy doing something he wasn't suppose to do, he didn't fall over, he deliberately lay on top of the ball.

Have you seen what the "poor boy" apparently posted on his twitter before the game?

The boy posted on his Twitter account just hours before the game: "The king of all ball boys is back making his final appearance #needed #for #timewasting".

He's also the son of a Swansea director, he should know better, it's his own fault.

The ball-boy can take as long as he wants, it's up to the referee's discretion as to how much added time to extend the match by at the end.

Well I'm sure we'll see ball boys around Europe laying on top of the ball from now on because they're allowed to take as much time as they want and essentially do what they want.

I have little sympathy for the kid to be quite honest. He's old enough to know exactly what he was doing, knowing full well Chelsea were chasing the game still and Hazard wanting play to restart again quickly. That said, Hazard shouldn't have gone about it as he did, but can totally understand why he's done it.
