Which makes it more likely to be true than less imo.

Nothing surprises me with Spanish football and Italian football tbh.

I just can't see who would be better for Madrid to bring in over Mourinho.

In other news, Ronaldo scored a perfect hat-trick this morning and then Messi scored 4. Just because

Doesn't mean as much, he's playing with the same players he grew up with.

Needs to prove himself in another league to be regarded as a great. [/opencanofworms]

We can all say that Messi needs to do it in another country, Ronaldo did pretty damn good in England, came to Spain and still can't outdo Messi, don't see him failing.

I don't think Messi would score as many goals in another team without the service from Xavi and Iniesta.

I couldn't imagine what it's like playing Barcelona, like what goes through the minds of players trying to defend, who to mark, when to mark them and when to close down etc...... No matter what you do and how good you do it you'll probably still get cut open!!

As an experiment, send him down here and get long balls pumped up to him constantly. Then we'll see how good he is.

Then we'll put that Buffon fella upfront, see how good he really is!

If only there were national sides where he was forced to play only with other Argentineans.

He'd be a marked improvement on what we've got currently, and I'm not even sure that I'm 100% joking.

I would consider Carles Puyol and John Terry to be very similar in terms of footballing ability. Also, both are regarded as 'legends' by their respected clubs.

John Terry is a scumbag though...

Big fan of Puyol - proves that even in the greatest footballing side of all-time, you need a warrior at the back to drive the team on and kick seven shades of shit out of the opponent when necessary.

Every team needs a player that's not afraid to fuck his body up for the cause.

Exactly.

Would definitely have Pepe, David Batty, Duncan Ferguson, Roy Keane in my all time best XI.

Wouldnt win with style. Just injure the opposite team until they have to concede the match.

GK - ?
LB - Ben Thatcher
CB - Andoni Goikoetxea
CB - Kevin Muscat
CB - Pepe
RB - Danny Mills
CM - Roy Keane
CM - David Batty
CM - Vinnie Jones
ST - Duncan Ferguson
ST - Kevin Davies

Just need a GK. This team would definitely beat Barcelona of today.

Harald Schumacher, then.

Can't be that bad - ref didnt even give a foul.

Although he was polled as the most hated German in France, infront of Hitler....

Still need some other options though.
