I'd go further.

I'd have Messi and Ronaldo out in front.

Then a bracket of Iniesta, Xavi, RVP, Cavani, Falcao etc...

Then a third one of the likes of Neymar, Bale, Wilshere and so forth.

I think it's a little premature to put Bale in with the likes of those who have achieved so much more in the game than him.

I'd probably drop Cavani down one level.

Needs to win something first though.

Not easy when you're a Welsh Tottenham player.

True, which is why he'll have to go to someone like Real Madrid if he wants to be mentioned in the same breath as guys like Xavi et al.

You haven't been watching him very much have you?

Why is Bale dropped but Cavani, Falcao and van Persie aren't and you've stated until he achieves as much as them, but if we're speaking pure trophy wise it's not a huge difference?

Because compared to those three, Bale is horrendously inconsistent.

Hell of a deflection but it was a good move to give Gouffran the opportunity \o/

Needs more Tiote imo. Hoping Pardew will give him instructions to smash every Spurs player on the field.

I really can't see us finishing in the top four this season. Tottenham are looking shit hot this year, Chelsea have more potential match-winners than we do and Everton are looking brilliant as well. Can see us finishing 6th at this rate.

Think Cabaye got lucky to stay on the pitch there. Looked like a really bad challenge

Niall Quinn was impressive today, going up another echelon of being an arsehole. The way he dismissed Gouffran being injured.

Cattermole booked in the first two minutes for a tackle on Ramsey, lucky not to see red.

Much as Bale is overhyped he is still a good player, and even better when given the room to do his thing. Like today. Coloccini was dreadful and both full backs seemed to struggle a wee bit.

Not that it helped our aim of a share of the spoils that we found a defender with almost every attack and with such accuracy.

This referee is clueless. Missed about 3-4 blatant fouls on us already.

Yeah, but some were late/ dangerous.

Giroud missed a good chance there.
