At the risk of sounding stupid, how do I update FM when the full game is released tomorrow (or any future patches)? Is it done automatically by Steam?
I treated myself to the beta having not played for many years, so I just can't work this bit out (also, Diablo no longer works! No, I kid, I've played since 03/04!)

Nobody knows. It'll go live when SI are ready. Could be tonight, could be early tomorrow morning.
All you'll need to do is have Steam open. If you have Steam open when it's released, just close it and start it up again. Unless you've specifically told it not to, Steam will automatically download the necessary files under its own (ahem) steam.

Ok, thanks, it's just this year is my first year getting download version than the boxed version with the code in so wasn't sure what happened that's all

having the boxed version just feels better to me...but alas its the download for last few years now
IMO the full game will be out just after midnight UK time ...but as Mons says there is no guarantee

Have you tried closing Steam and restarting it? Took me a couple of goes to appear.

also a balls up in verifying in advanced rules given up at this stage there are over 10 nations with issues I will wait for a couple of days before editing, disappointing several files Ive used for years wont verify in new editor....utter poop, I will try some workarounds removing rules etc but what a royal pain in the arse
