I'm 99.9% sure any team, if they had that happen, would have done exactly the same. In a game as big as this every decision is going to be scrutinised, nevermind one as bad as that.

This.

What's the point.
In fact, what is the point at all? Might have well have just saved everyone's time and decided the game with a coin flip.
If the referee refs again it will be too soon.

Don't be ridiculous; Giggs is signed on for another season, so apart from Scholes (who wasn't involved) then every player has another chance at winning a European trophy
I don't have too much issue with the complaining to be honest, Rio's clapping was pretty funny. It'd be a bit boring if everyone was a good sport all the time - nice to have some (extra) controversy thown in

As I said the cunt will probably end up being the referee in the final.
Ninja
Fucking cunt, couldn't wait to help out his idols I bet.

Learn how to do it properly, Man Utd.

Reckon the De Jong decision was probably playing on the ref's mind.

Your comments are getting dumber and dumber. The De Jong decision?

You mean a tackle were De Jong could see Alonso and almost drove his foot through his chest compared to Nani watching the ball come over his shoulder, playing the ball and grazing Arbeloa??

Predicting a Madrid-Bayern final if they both avoid each other in the quarters and semis.

I was going to mention that when it happened, not the Nani incident, but the Diego Lopez punch.
Fair enough the keeper can come for the ball but if they miss and hit a player that should be a huge ban given a punch to the head could potentially have severe consequences... Just because it's a goalkeeper coming for a ball they shouldn't be allowed away with that.

Your head has gone.

Really??
Nani will probably get a three game ban for that challenge on Arbeloa. If a goalkeeper comes out to punch a ball clear, misses and cleans up a players head don't you see the potential danger waiting to happen there??
The NRL out here have banned the shoulder charge over fears it can lead to dangerous situations involving the head and I certainly wouldn't want to be punched in the head by a goalkeeper either.

You guys do know what inverted commas are right?
Obviously they are completely different challenges, but the end result is a similar outcome, of a player being kicked high. Obviously NDJ's was a hell of a lot worse. (I thought a yellow for Nani would be very harsh). But obviously ref's are going to be affected by high profile incidents, and the vague similarities of the incidents may have influenced the referee's decision. Also obviously the referee only saw the incident once at full speed, and didn't have the luxury of the replays.

Got a link to his profile? Is it a genuine one?

Don't worry, Howard Webb will be back in the starting line-up on Sunday.
(safety smiley because the Man Utd fans seem to be all on their periods tonight).
Ninja
No idea if it's genuine, doing the rounds though.

I think the majority of us have been perfectly reasonable in what we have said tbh. I just think its sad you feel the need to goad people, it's must feel nice knowing that your club will never be involved in a game as important as this for quite a while so you don't have to suffer through it too
