Thumping win over Bournemouth mate. Revenge? Didn't they beat you last season?

You're doing extremely well but I'm not surprised. You done well at AFC (Wombles) Wimbledon and you're doing well now. KIU.

They did indeed the dirty fuckers!! It was in the FA Cup as well, a 4-3 defeat, fucking upset me but they paid the price.

Thanks man!! To be honest I've just tried to do the same stuff in regards to playing the same tactic regularly, letting the deadwood go and bringing in players that can perform immediately or become good players further down the track. We overachieved last season and the season before and now I feel we've got a good core group that can set a platform for us to become a top four regular.

That's a fast-forward season!! I haven't even started the pre-season on mine and you are almost finished this season!

Man Utd look like they broke your heart again - is the gap between you that big? Apart from Dubois and Milanovic, the rest of the team didn't do a lot on this game.

Wigan look good this year (are they still on the top half of the table), but again losing at home must have hurt a bit.

At least, you have qualified for the Europa League quarter-finals; I know there is the 2nd leg to be played, but cannot see any problems for you there. Can you show us the competition tree for the quarter/semi-finals?

I'm off work at the moment so I'm able to play as much Football Manager as I like!!

I think in the end United just took their chances in the Capital One Cup final, we'll learn from that and hopefully any future trips to Wembley will go a little better. The gap between us and them isn't that big at the moment, we beat them at home in the Premier League earlier in the season and did it quite comfortably as well.

As for Wigan those fuckers will pay for knocking us out, mark my words!!!

EDIT: After the draw I played on without saving for about a week in game and it crashed, so here is the draw again and this time it's saved. Thankfully we got Zenit again but our path to the final could see us have to overcome Real Madrid if they beat Porto....

So we'll dance the semi final dance with Portuguese giants FC Porto. The first leg is thankfully at home which means we have a chance to record a win and give ourselves an advantage heading into the more difficult return leg. I'm hoping we can win 2-0 or 3-0 if possible because after seeing the current Europa League holders Real Madrid get thumped 5-2 away at FC Porto I'm convinced it's going to be a very tough away trip.

6 shots on goal, 5 goals: guess that's what taking your chances is Porto will be a tough opponent, but you certainly have the quality to reach the final - and if you get there, whoever your opponent is won't scare you.

How are things going on the league?

Ouch!!! Porto were too good for you. Winning the Premier League will help you feel better: a win against West Ham and it's advantage Newcastle.

Thankfully that game is at home so we should pick up the three points.

Our remaining games are then Norwich City away and Chelsea away. It's probably 99% likely we'll need to pick up six points as United play both of their remaining games at Old Trafford and will most likely record two wins. So hopefully we can beat the Canaries and go into the final day of the season with a chance of lifting the Premier League crown.

So after three very enjoyable seasons at Newcastle United the time has come to walk away.

Now before you ask why let me just say that I was committed to the Magpies and wouldn't have left for any other club, not Real Madrid, AC Milan, FC Porto or Manchester United.

However faith has it that the England job became available after the 2024 European Championships and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a shot at winning the 2026 World Cup in Mexico.

I've resigned my post at St. James Park because I don't believe it's good juggling the two.

So close to every competition and you ended the season with no silverware. Great achievements though and Newcastle will definitely miss you!

Good luck with England; it will be interesting. Have the groups drawn yet?

Kevan Grundy just gets better and better - is leading England to World Cup glory next??

This group look quite easy and proved to be even easier: I guess you cannot wait another year for the tournament to start.
