Fantastic run with Newcastle, the Champions League spot is up for grasp. Cardiff don't look like they can stop you.

From years and years of playing Football Manager I've learnt to take nothing for granted, it'll be a tough game, I have that feeling in my stomach right now, just hope we can get the job done or Tottenham Hotspur beat Stoke City..

Oh by the way Wimbledon got crushed in the first leg against Borussia Dortmund and earned a credible 0-0 draw in Germany.

They've also qualified for the playoffs and look set to finish 4th in the Championship.

Climbing back from 2-1 down in the last 10 minutes then getting a red to keep it exciting! But Stoke couldn't preasurize till late. Good luck in the Champions-League and good luck next season.

Pre season has come to an end and I'm quite pleased with how things went. We didn't suffer any real serious injuries and we played some good stuff. I arranged a friendly against my old club at their place to turn back the years and unfortunately it wasn't a happy return to AFC Wimbledon Stadium as we lost to a first half Josip Bezer goal, I've got to admit I almost celebrated the goal, I forgot I wasn't managing Josip these days!!!

Hopefully those three will be first team players within 3-5 years.

I know Hernandez is on big wages but if he bangs in 15-20 goals this season which would certainly be a possibility giving his finishing ability then he's going to be worth every penny.

We've made the perfect start to the Premier League season with a dominant win away at Southampton.

A debut brace from Javier Hernandez the difference and we'll go into our crucial home leg against Benfica full of confidence. Advancing to the group stages will be massive for the club financially as I'm sure you'll all be aware so we need to take full advantage of this opportunity.

So after the first leg against Benfica I think we've got a slight advantage heading into the return leg in Lisbon on the basis that we've kept a clean sheet which means a if we avoid defeat and goals are involved we'll advance to the group stages. I'm still slightly disappointed we've not taken a lead into the second leg after creating some really good chances and I can't understand how Tim Krul got man of the match over their keeper who was immense.

Another great result for us and that's two wins from our opening two Premier League games. We've netted nine times in those two games and only goal difference separates us and Arsenal at the top of the table. Now our attention shifts to the do or die clash against Benfica in Lisbon were we've got a slight advantage!!

Clean sheet is good, but I still would be disappointed with a draw looking at the number of shot on goal adn clear cut chances.

Yeah definitely a little disappointed we don't have an advantage heading into the return leg.

Sadly I think you'll be playing Europa League football as I can't see you progressing from that group, it'll be tough.

Great win to get into the groups stage, though it seems like a lucky escape. Good luck in the groups - it may look difficult, but I think you can get the 2nd place and qualify.

Our home form will be crucial if we want to advance, we've got to pick up at least two wins at home and then hope to pick something up on the road, most likely against Spartak Moscow. That's going to be the plan of attack and I think we could advance if we pick up 9 points, it would be a nice boost financially to advance.

After three games in Group G we're in a great position now to advance to the next stage of the Champions League. We've won both our away games in the group so far against Roma and Spartak Moscow which has come as a bit of a surprise to me, but those results are huge and should we pick up another win at home we're all but guaranteed a place in the next round you'd assume. We probably should have beaten Barcelona at home but just didn't take our chances, a late Javier Hernandez goal snatching a point for us when we looked likely to lose 1-0. We won a crap match in Moscow, a late Ishmael Corrigan goal stunning the hosts who have now lost all three of their games in Group G, their match day one defeat at the Nou Camp a 7-1 thrashing.

We've missed out on the chance to secure our place in the next round on match day four after losing unexpectedly 2-1 at home against Spartak Moscow. We've conceded far to many goals in recent games and although previously we'd been able to fight back after bad starts we couldn't in this game. Thankfully Roma were beaten by Barcelona so our next game against the Italians presents us with another chance to secure our place in the next round, any positive result will seal second spot in Group G for us.
