I can kill spiders, no problem. I'd go so far as to say I'm an expert at seeking out and crushing them. But if people could see how unbearably scared of spiders I am it would shock them. Like, if I see a spider in the corner of my room then that's fine. I know where the motherfucker is. I can prepare myself. But a surprise attack? Fuck that shit. Once I was lying in bed and a spider fell on my face. I couldn't sleep in that room for weeks without having to scour the area and check it was safe. That happened when I was 23.

Imagine you've got your friends and family over for a bbq on a Sunday afternoon. The drinks are flowing and everybody is having a great time, laughter fills the air. You go to your bbq to start cooking food, lift the lid and a huntsman spider who has been taking steroids launches himself at your face like a face hugger out of Alien v Predator.... I almost died of a heart attack that day!!

That sounds both terrifying and amusing in equal measure.

It's funny when it's not you. A giant huntsman jumped at my mother when she opened the washing machine one day, that was fucking hilarious, couldn't stop laughing!!

I was playing on my xbox a while back, when all of a sudden the biggest fucking spider just dangled down in front of my face and landed on my nose. Swear to fucking god it was like something out of Arachnophobia.

A spider slightly larger than a bottle cap has been living behind a painting on the wall next to my computer for like 2 years.

I don't really mind spiders at all, they keep the house free of flies, and if there is anything I genuinely hate in this world it is flies, particularly the ones in summer that have grown fat from all the cow dung they've consumed.

By the way, I noticed some arse pilots moaning about a lack of activity here. Cast your eyes over to Supports Interactive to see a veritable wasteland. That's a site where the staff actively try and encourage activity.

I tried Supports Interactive, it has some nice features but it runs really slowly on my browser as it's so graphic heavy.

I don't get the name 'Supports Interactive'. It's a mouthful to say and I didn't realise it was even a forum, I thought it was some kind of open source version of Football Manager.
