I often wonder how people get jobs as sports journalists ffs.

Beckham makes a cross field pass, doesn't lead to goal, key moment though!!

Can't believe Dortmund - Malaga is still 0-0, has been such an open game, just some awful finishing

Advantage Malaga??

Malaga have shown that they're more than able to compete at this level but you'd still have to fancy Dortmund to beat them at home I think.

If Malaga had nicked it 1-0 tonight, then they'd have had a good chance.

We'll see anyway, an early Malaga goal would make it interesting.

I think Dortmund need an early goal in the next leg, just to calm the nerves, but yeah they should beat them.

Ilkay Gundogan was absolutely excellent tonight. Best player on the pitch by a mile. Gotze, Reus, Grosskreuts and Lewandowski seemed to be trying to outdo each other at finishing badly.

Dortmund should go and win, might not be able to keep a clean sheet, but I'd fancy them to win by a couple of clear goals.

Absolutely no way they can prove those yellow cards were deliberately sought.

Love how Mourinho tries to get out of it.

Of course they were, Alonso's was for kicking the ball away in the last minutes of a 3-0 victory, and Ramos' for dissent. They didn't need to timewaste and I'm sure they weren't wound up enough to provoke dissent. Not that I see anything wrong with it, it's just clever.

At least it was a lot more subtle than the bookings against Ajax last season

I never said they didn't do it intentionally.

Hmm, I'm not so sure that it will be so simple for UEFA to prove they were intentional.

The difference then was that the cards they sought were red, not yellow, and there was an elaborate pantomime surrounding them. Dudek, instructed by Mourinho, left the bench to pass a message to Casillas who then communicated the orders to the two players. Proving that the cards had been deliberately sought was simple. Not so this time.

I like Barcelona, love the way they play and some of their players, but they can't keep running to UEFA whenever they don't get the result they want. It seems to be either the pitch or the referee.

They have a point, and they have the balls to point it out.

...they got the balls to do that only because they are Barca. a mid-table EPL club (ie Stoke , no offense though) wouldve been laughed off by UEFA if they had complained.
Those things happen in almost every game, Refs are human. Strange to see Barca are doubting that.

This.

If they'd won 2-1 I'd imagine they wouldn't have complained about the referee.

Yeah, but they didn't win because of a comically offside goal.

Not because of that.
Their first goal was a handball also and they were just not good enough at finishing, that sums it up.
To blame the ref (for what was definately a mistake, no question) is a very weak explanation.

They're not blaming the ref for not winning, they're giving out about that incident where Abla and Masch were lying on the ground in the 6-yard box

And an offside goal.
