Sacked or resigned?
Seems to have been going "I have no future here" for a while, or at least since the Huddersfield defeat a couple of weeks back.

Kinda getting excited for League Two next season in a strange way. Not so much about trips to Wycombe, Crotchfail and Morecambe but about how we set up. We will have to go for a complete new squad and hopefully playing some youngsters from our own academy. Next season could be anything from promotion to relegation. We will see how Blackwell copes with this.

It does indeed. Wish him well, also hope it doesn't scupper his chances of getting out of here in the summer.
Jake K**n (current number 1, pretty good) is out for the rest of the season too, so we've got a random Pole in net for the relegation run in

Grzegorz Sandomierski? I heard he ain't that bad. Big money move from Bialystok to Genk a few saisons ago, three caps for Poland. Not too bad if you ask me

Where do you reckon Blackburn would have finished with the same squad and a competent manager (Appleton?) in charge all season?
BR.
Hope you're right.
Rhodes, Jake Kean, Hanley, Henley and maybe Dunn who's always given 110% even though he hasn't played much.
Hard to say, especially if it was Appleton. He started well but it was pretty bad towards the end, I'd have give him longer but not sure how it would have panned out over a full season. Nothing good can happen when you have 5 managers in a season though. Our best chance of having a decent season was to get someone like McCarthy or Holloway when Kean left, but nobody like that would touch us now.

Not a chance. You always get a load of random teams near the top early on in every season. I remember Hull, who'll probs go up automatically now, came here second game of the season and saw people like Murphy's name on the team sheet and were desperate for a 0-0, little did they know our squad looks ten times better on paper than it actually is. 2 of his Kean's last four games were defeats to MK Dons and Middlesborough too.
Clueless Kean had to go for Rovers to move forward, but there hasn't been any stability here since the moment that lot walked through the door.

Ironic? just fact.
Anyway, we beat Macc 3-1 last night. Dunno if our Macclesfield supporter is still on here these days?
Apparently, Macc reckoned our 3rd goal was offside as the ball played through went forwards.... Pretty comical that they don't know the rules. The lad who scored ran from 10 yards behind the play.

That means I get to travel a roughly 600 mile round trip to watch a game of football and it'll cost me no less than £14 bare minimum! \o/

I see LJL made a massive 10 minute contribution to your game and has failed to get a single goal for your lot yet. Not having the best start eh?
This game resulted in The King getting sacked by Macc which is weird because their football this season was very good on many occasions but defo there have been some off field issues. McIllroy and Coleman must be in the frame now

I'm not defending Kean with this - he was clearly out of his depth and should've been fired when Blackburn were relegated from the Premier League - but when he was fired Blackburn were 4th in the table, and only one point off his supposed target. If they had stuck with him, I'm certain you would be a lot higher in the table rather than staring down the barrel of a gun quite like this moment.
But who knows - given Venky's have bungled every key decision since Kean received his overdue just desserts, Blackburn have just had one almighty clusterfuck of the season.

Obviously playing two top-flight games, especially in English football, is going to be more physically intense and more mentally fatiguing than playing against lower league opposition.

1. What was Clarke doing for their goal?
2. When was the last time anyone saw a backpass given? I ask as on the highlights Zat Knight deliberately passes it back to Lonergan, who has to palm it around the post. Has the law changed so merely handling a backpass is no longer a free kick, and in fact the ball has to be under control?
3. Can see why the ref didn't give a penalty, which doesn't change the fact we should have had a penalty. Scannell got caught but made too much of it. Ref gave a dive, though the contact is pretty clear for all to see, knee on knee.

I don't think 2. is given that frequently anymore but there is still the odd offence where a player passes back and gets called up for it.

In other news Matt Le Tissier is getting his boots back on. Matthew Le Tissier signs for non-league Guernsey FC
BR.
Went to Sheff Weds today, SHOCKING. Doomed.

Better don't. There is a guy in the Crawley stands just ringing a cow bell everytime Crawley get a goal, a goal chance or foul given. Annoying as fook
