Got this guy on trial and he's definitely somebody who I want to bring to the club. Jamille Matt was our star man last season but I'm hoping if this guy comes in, he can rival him. He's asking for 2.5k a week but I can only offer £850 a week so it looks unlikely but trying to see if the board could chip in and help me.

First win of the season against bottom side Bradford Park Avenue. We went one-nil down but goals from Matt and substitute Timlin scored to grab us the win.

Not good enough- embarrassing. I sold Matt Taylor to Lincoln last season after he failed to score for us- it was fate that he would score for them and get man of the match.

Backup striker Elliot Benyon and midfielder Aaron Davies have both had their contracts paid off and have left the club. Those players were both on 1k a week and have freed up wages which has allowed me to bring in four new recruits.

Darren Ambrose joins us from League Two side Crewe Alexandra. He's a very experienced midfielder who has experience in the Premier League with Newcastle and Charlton. He's previously been with Birmingham but found his chances limited before moving on to Crewe. At 32, I feel he still has a lot to offer us.
Colin Doolan joins us on a free transfer from Shamrock Rovers. He came through the youth ranks at Shamrock and was offered to me by his agent- he looks like he could be a good player. Will probably be looking to loan him out as I can't see him dislodging Jamille Matt.
Harry Crawford joins the side from Irish side Derry City. He was a regular scorer two seasons ago for Barnet in this division before moving to Ireland to try himself over there. He only managed to score four goals last season and found himself on the transfer list. At the age of 24, he's scored a lot of goals and should over good competition to Matt.
Kurtis March is our final recruit of this transfer window joining from League One side Bournemouth. He started of at Swansea and three seasons ago, Preston forked out 150k for him however he didn't make an appearance before moving on to Bournemouth. Despite being 23 years of age, he still hasn't made a competitive appearance. According to my scouts, he could be a good Championship midfielder in the future so I maybe I can make a bit of money out of him in the future.

Great win against top of the table Chester. After going behind, we struck three goals in the second half. Doolin and Ambrose both hit second half goals on their debuts to grab us a very good win.

Substitute Harry Crawford scored on his debut to score against play offs contenders Woking. Good to see The Kluk on the scoresheet again- he's my favourite player on this game now.

Harry Crawford came off the bench again to grab us a deserved draw against Kidderminster. After 10 matches, we sit in a disappointing 18th position, only three points off the relegation zone. However, this season all teams are very close and despite us being so close to relegation, we are also only three points off the play offs. Hopefully we can kick on and put our poor start behind us.

Yeah, very happy with Ambrose. I tried to sign the Irish guy but couldn't afford his wages.

Antoni Sarcevic's last minute goal earned us a draw at home to Dover. Two late goals from Dover would have lost it for us before Sarcevic's long range strike. Good to see Walker on the scoresheet, he's done well since joining in the Summer.

Liam Walker's penalty in the first half was enough to grab us a well deserved win.

Thought we'd managed to hold on to a draw but we were left disappointed after their last minute winner.

Will be joining in January and is one for the future. Don't expect to see him in the first team for a good few years though.

Substitute Harry Crawford was our saviour as he came of the bench to grab a late equaliser. We're still letting in too many goals for my liking but happy that we managed to score three, especially grabbing the late goal.

A very good win away at Worcester. We went three ahead early on however it did look like they were going to get it back with two goals before Crawford's late strike. Really impressed with Crawford, he's a really good player to bring off the bench.

Fantastic win away against third placed Wrexham. Liam Walker is excelling in his role behind the striker whilst Crawford bagged again in a rare start for us.

Substitute Jamille Matt came off the bench to grab a late winner and secure our third clean sheet on the trot. After twenty matches, we are currently sitting in 10th place, only three points off the play offs. We need to kick on in this second stage of the season if we are going to have any chance of making the play offs. I won't be happy with another season of mid-table security.

Yeah, was madness drawing 23 matches last season. This season, the defence hasn't seem that solid which is a shame.

Fifth clean sheet on the bounce and another well deserved win against Barnet. Crawford got another goal, this time against his former club and The Kluk scored another first after half time.

I'm actually really tempted to take this job- I've decided to delay it for a week but I'm just wondering what you guys would do. As you can see, they're near us in the league and they are a much bigger club with a bigger fanbase and finances.
