Fantastic win in which Harry Crawford stole the show once again. He hit a great hat trick and kept up his brilliant form- we are 4 points clear off Stalybridge who have won their last 7 matches so it does look very unlikely that we'll make the play off but we won't give up, got nothing to lose now.
Fola
Another great win but it doesn't matter as Stalybridge won meaning we can't make the play offs. We have fallen short and are still 4 points adrift with one match to go. Again, we have fallen short and I'm not going to lie, inconsistency has cost us once again. We face Portsmouth in the last match of the season.

In a match that didn't really matter, we lost two one to Portsmouth. As you can see, we finished in 6th position- my highest position whilst at the club and five points off the play offs. I won't be looking at making many changes to my squad over the Summer so a quiet transfer window can be expected. Will get rid of a few of the fringe players next season though.
Hopefully next season can be the season we finally get promoted. Will post the squad review next.

Goalkeepers
Bartlett was again my goalkeeper and played every minute of the season. He wasn't as impressive as last season but he will be my keeper again next season if he agrees a new deal. His deal runs out this Summer.
Defenders
The defence were again impressive this season and I won't be making any changes to the back line. Raynes and Clark were my main centre back pairing- Clark's deal runs out in the Summer and will be offered a new deal. Theo Streete and Owen were also very impressive as were Jones and Wood who rotated as full backs.
Midfielders
The midfield is also another part which I won't be strengthening. We have a very good mix of experience and youth in the midfield to offer a lot of room for rotation. March and Ambrose will probably be the only players leaving in the Summer as they've both moaned about lack of gametime. Harry Crawford played as a striker and was my top goalscorer, keeping Matt out of the side.
Strikers
Matt was kept out the side quite a bit by Crawford but played well when asked of him. Not planning on bringing in another striker.

Bring on next season, hopefully we can get promotion this time round.

For the second successive year, Michael Raynes has been voted by the fans as Player Of The Year. He's been a revelation since joining from Oxford a few seasons back and hopefully he can continue his good form into the upcoming season.

With season starting in only a few days time, I have managed to get rid of a few fringe players. I stated previously that I didn't want a major overhaul so only thee have left the club. Kurtis March had struggled to force his way into the side since his move from Bournemouth last season and has joined League One side Hartlepool for a fee of 24k. Nacho Huertas is another recruit from last Summer to leave the side- he was very much a bit part player and joins fellow BSP side AFC Halifax. Finally, Colin Doolin failed to dislodge Harry Crawford and Jamille Matt from the striking berth and leaves on a free transfer to Kidderminster.

Only four players have joined over the Summer however they are four players who will bring much needed experience and quality to the squad.
Former England international Jermaine Jenas has joined the side from Irish side St. Pat's Athletic. He brings a wealth of experience to the squad and still has very good stats for this level. Two seasons ago, he was playing in the Championship with QPR so it's definitely a coup that we've managed to bring him here.
Bencherif is another player that I've bought to the club that I have managed previously. At AFC Wimbledon, he was my first recruit to the squad and he was immediately placed as my captain. He lost his way a bit in previous seasons but hoping he can re-find his form here.
Mingoia joins from relegated Salisbury City. He has always caused me problems whenever I have played against them and can play on either wing. He's a good player and brings good competition to the midfield.
Frecklington is another midfield player to join the club. He was a wealth of experience throughout the Football League and hopefully should be a good acquisition.
Season starts now!

This is my squad for the upcoming season.

Here's hoping you finally make it.

Trying to tie this guy down to a new contract as he's out of contract in the Summer. He's rejecting everything at the moment so will try to get rid in January if we are unable to agree on a new deal- good player though. Probably way too good for this league.

Cheers, hopefully this year can be the year

Hopefully mate. It's so disappointing to only finish one position off play offs- like you said, lets hope this year is the year.

James Norwood's late strike against Lincoln helped us towards our first win of the season. POTY Michael Raynes won man of the match again as we kept a clean sheet again- good start.
Fola
Liam Walker's goal midway through the first half was enough to keep up our 100% start to the season. Another clean sheet too which is very pleasing.
Fola
Third successive win, this time against FC Halifax. Halifax had our former players; Darren Ambrose and Nacho Huertas starting for them but goals from Crawford and Walker were enough to grab us the win.

Welcome to the Harry Crawford show.

We were brought back down to earth after our 100% record was halted with an embarrassing performance against Newport. Nothing went right for us today, we will need to change that in our next match. Can't be being inconsistent all season like last time round.

Only one move on transfer deadline day and it is one that I really didn't want to make. Anybody who has been reading this career from the start and also our Succession Game knows that The Kluk is my hero. He hasn't featured at all for me this season but I don't want to sell him so I've loaned him out to my feeder club for some match fitness.
Hopefully he will come back and force his way back into my starting eleven.

Rich new Chairman I hope...

Brilliant news. The Icelandic international has signed a new 4 year deal at the club and becomes the clubs highest paid player of 2.2k a week. However, he does have a clause where if any club offer £1.5 million for him, it must be accepted.

Well earned point away at Macclesfield- good to see Crawford on the scoresheet once again.

Should of won this- not good enough.

Harry Crawford stole the show once again with two goals to defeat Ebbsfleet. Unbeaten in three matches now.

Outclassed by lowly Dartford. It's beginning to look like last season all over again, beating the higher teams but losing to the shit.
