Doesnt matter even if he was going for the ball. If he went in that late and hard on someones leg it would have been a red card, so why is it not if you go in on someones head like that? I know whats worse and which could potentially cause more damage.

It's only a matter of time before a goalkeeper gets a very serious injury from shit like that going on at corners.

Carroll went with his face, which suggests he probably went for the ball and couldn't stop. Going for headers and the high ball is almost always dangerous, and there is always the potential for a clash of heads.

Carroll is not International quality but he was worth MOTM yesterday imo. I also have no idea what to make of the 'challenge' on De Gea but currently I think it was nothing more than a mistimed aerial challenge.

Welbeck deserves to be the list as well as his game (barring his shite finishing) is superb.

That was a weird game - at the start of kick-off I'd have taken a point. At half-time I felt we should have been 4-0 up, but then after 80-85 it looked like defeat was inevitable.

In the end a point was probably fair enough. The table is also a strange beast as by and large the results didn't go our way, hence 16th place, but the key result we needed to go our way at Upton Park did.
