There's about 650 pending requests left from 2021 (all from packs). I think it would be a good aim to clear those up before the end of June? If everyone reading this picks up like 5 or 10 to cut, we would already be a long way 👍

I believe it's possible, using the installation methods outlined in any of these pages 👍 Since I don't play it on mobile myself, any assistance I can offer is limited, I'm afraid…

Do you plan to add Euro U17 photos to the megapack? Or is it better to turn to the topic of orders, so that they would make a separate pack for Euros under 17?

Some have been requested already, and some have been cut in fact. We have a submission forum: if you want images to be cut, it's best if you collect and request them yourself instead of waiting for others to do it for you 😉

Make sure you follow the guidelines to uploading images when doing so. Keep in mind that if the images are from the uefa.com site, they will be in 324x324 from the chest upwards so they are in most cases unlikely to provide improvements if the player already has a good-quality cut in the megapack.

Those will include duplicates, files with wrong extensions or filenames, players who are given inexistent UIDs etc. in previous updates, which are naturally still in your folder. The amount I indicate will be the amount of lines in the config file 🙂

Just to inform you that I will be cutting all the available faces from the ongoing EURO U19 (UEFA website)

All requests from 2021 are now cleared up, so that's great 👏 I'd like to encourage everyone again to pick up just a few of the older pending images to cut, so we can start fully focussing on the 2022-2023 season photoshoots that are starting to come out now 👍

It's great if we have the most recent images for everyone, but can I just remind everybody to avoid requesting 2022/23 images if they are virtually identical to the current megapack cut, or if it's only been recently done? We simply don't have enough cutters to cut everything. Of course, if people cut them instead of requesting them, they'll be gladly received 🙂

Is there a new compression method or something like that? As the file size is much smaller than previous update packs

It's possible it was double compressed by accident let me check.

Nope what may have caused it is during the server upgrade we automatically switched from: pngquant 2.5.0 (June 2015) to pngquant 2.12.2 (July 2019) while there is 4 years difference there, there's nothing obvious in the changelog to suggest major improvements and it wasn't intentional.

However I did a test and the compression was significantly better:

originals: 440mb

pngquant 2.5.0: 295mb

pngquant 12.12.2: 182mb

We could in theory rerun the compression on all the old originals (we have of course kept them all). But I don't have any time to experiment with that right now.

It's not really a priority as far as I'm concerned, just a happy benefit of the law of unintended consequences 😉

Yes the compression is better now. As per above we'll look into recompressing older files but it's not a priority. 

@Footygamer The ‘List Children' button will lead you to the same page as just clicking on the club name does. Maybe that can be removed? Then there would be some more space for an optional ‘last checked' sign as well
