A bunch of new features for Football Manager 2023 have been released for FMFC members you can read the full article but we've summarised the basics right here.
New statistics in the Data Hub
- Expected assists (xA)
- All stats can now be viewed “per 90 minutes”
- Pressure attempts
- Successful pressures
- Number of sprints
- Physical output visualisation (combination of distance covered and number of sprints)
- Progressive Passes
- Team pass map comparison
- Team passes per defensive action (which helps assess the effectiveness of your press)
- Field tilt (comparison of your final third passes vs your opponents)
New Match Day Visualisation
- Match momentum (kind of like a better version of action zones)
- Pass maps
New Inbox Items
- Player of the Day news item featuring notable stats and visualisations related to the man of the match
- New analytics reports ranking your team and players relative to other teams and players in the league
- Statistical analysis of your current form compared to expected form based on xG and xA
Online Modes
- New versus mode leaderboard
- New auto export team mode at the end of every season, so you can keep a copy of iterations of your squad
Manager Creation
- 12 new hairstyles (6 male and 6 female)
- New polo and jeans option
- Ability add accessories like scarves, watches, earrings and gloves
MLS
- Updated with new realistic rules
Pre Match Briefings
- Players less likely to speak up before a game replaced with your assistant giving feedback based on body language

Still nothing on managing national teams, I hope they do something to that this year. Nice to see MLS being updated, have always wanted to try out that.

Its trending some rumours fm beta release in Oct 20th … anyone knows about???

Nobody apart from SI know for sure because they always say “it will be ready when it's ready”, but it's for sure possible.
Thursday 20th would make sense because recently they like announcing content/updates on that day of the week, and have released the beta a little bit sooner than 2 weeks before release the past few years.
