Nik33 has released his Media Update for FM22. The file is MajesticEternity's massive project with work by Nik33 and joe5p for FM22.
The update includes 4,250+ sources, over 100 bookmakers and around 1000 journalists/pundits etc. Lots of duplicates removed and tidied up.
Place the downloaded file inside the ‘editor data’ folder. The file cannot be used with a saved game, you need to start a new game for the file to take effect.

This thread is an attempt to encourage users to contribute to keeping the pack up to date and relevant. The initial aim is that the pack will be as accurate as possible, so missing media can go in, and redundant media can be removed. Rolling updates are then likely.
As the pack has evolved over a number of years, it is possible that some of the sources are outdated or inaccurate. There may also be new sources in real life that are not captured in the pack.
You can request inclusion of new sources via this thread. For now, SI know of a bug preventing new journalists from being included. When they resolve that issue, the thread will open up to include new journalists as well as sources.
Please check in game by using the pack first in case the source you are requesting is already part of the file. For any errors with current sources, a PM might be easiest.
If you can't find the media you are looking for and want to request a new source, please post here as follows:
Source Name:
Source URL (if relevant):
Attends Press Conferences: Yes or No (if no, it may be something like a podcast, or club level fan media, they can be included but will only show via social media and news items rather than attend press conferences).
Period (one of): Anytime (most media these days unless no online presence or Sunday press), weekday morning, weekday evening, specific day of week, monthly, bi monthly, quarterly, annually
Scope (one of): Worldwide, Continental, National, Regional, Local, Competition, Club
For fan based club media, it is club. Competition seems to work best in game for most of the other sources.
Style (one of): Tabloid, Broadsheet, Formal, Casual, Popular, Analytical
Type (as many as are relevant): TV, Newspaper, Website, Fanzine, Bookmaker, Radio, Magazine, Social Media, Podcast
Areas Covered: If this source always covers specific regions, competitions or clubs please specify

@Joe5p Thanks for Update the “Media Pack” File. 👍

Any idea why the media outlet names could be mixing up in a multiplayer game? Have tried it without any other database mods and the issue is always the same. The media outlets seem to work as intended for the host, but any clients will see media outlets with another media outlet's name i.e. CNN TURK is called Tribuna, Radio 5 Live is called CNN TURK.
Joe5p
Hi Cylano,
No, sorry, have never heard of this issue before. I will try to replicate it but new to me. In theory there should be no difference as the hosts files should apply to all saves. Do the clients have the same file (I know it should not matter)?
Is it happening on news items, or when they search for the media are some present on the host but not clients?
Thanks
Evgeni Angelov
Yeah, we did try putting the same .fmf in the client's editor data. As you say, it shouldn't make a difference but we thought it was worth trying anyway. Unfortunately the problem persisted.
The issue seems to happen on the news items and in search. One particular example, the client joined a club and the media source reporting it was listed as CNN Turk, which I thought was odd as it was a lower league club in England. When I clicked on CNN Turk from the media page, the URL was actually for BBC Radio 5 Live and all the journalists seem to verify that it should indeed have been BBC Radio 5 Live. If I searched for “BBC Radio 5 Live” in the search bar, it'd return CNN Turk in the results. If I searched for “CNN Turk”, it'd return “Tribuna”. This is just one example, but this is seemingly the same for most media outlets.
All media outlets seem to be present, but the names seem to be mismatched to what is actually showing on the media outlet page.
Cheers
Edit: Just to reiterate, this is from the perspective of the client. All seems fine on the host end. We have tried multiple hosts.
Edit 2: The only other difference is that one of us using the Windows Store version and the other is using the Steam edition. Not sure why it'd make a difference, but worth mentioning.

Bielsa is a Legend
validate in the editor 23, it should work
fmilln7
How do you do this please? apologies in advance for being stupid!
Bielsa is a Legend
put the file from 22 ED to 23 ED, load editor, go to load “data editor” find file, validate and save
fmilln7
where can i validate it as cant find it anywhere in the editor! when i click rules it doesnt give me the option to test rules… any ideas? sorry again
jrdra
Does this file work correctly? Journalists from FM 22 don't work for me because they don't show up at the press conference or anywhere else, and the media also have no idea why it doesn't work
RoMbA
Open FM 23 Editor, File, Load editor, look for the file, ok, save the editor.
metal7
does this work for nik33s award pack
Bielsa is a Legend
Seems to do
metal7
Have you tried it yourself, as I don't want to corrupt the game and miss out on ballor'd. I can find the validate button or find file option in the editor
Bielsa is a Legend
No, I use the award pack from susie
RoMbA
I don't know. This file works
metal7
I think I sorted it. You got a link to the susie award pack? thanks for the help btw
Bielsa is a Legend
It’s in the real names file-one of the ED files from memory
metal7
Oh you talking about the real name fix file for competitions and awards. I'm talking about the individual extra world awards like Best National Coach, Best Club Coach, Best Global Coach, Best Coach Career which Niks'33 file adds.
Lets see if it works now I got it installed
Tommy Hughes
If you could please let us know how it works, I'd appreciate it. Been curious about whether Nik33's FM22 files work on 23 or not. Cheers.
metal7
I will keep you guys updated
metal7
it works all the individual awards are in the game
Bielsa is a Legend
most files from 22 seem to work once saved in 23 editor, only database / structure changes would clash as the game has updated
wfm18
I guess these files will be updated to newer version at one point this year anyway @Joe5p? Just have a little wait.
Tommy Hughes
Thank you very much!
Bielsa is a Legend
I finally started a new career and can confirm the media and agents work just fine if you save the 22 file in the 23 editor
Greg Brooking
Can this be used for FM23? If not, is there an update for FM23?
fmilln7
@Joe5p Will an update be done for it to work in FM24? thanks'
