sortitoutsi Background and Stadium Packs

The Backgrounds Megapack was originally made up of aerial shots of stadiums taken from Google Maps and Google Earth, but is now also containing Competitions, Player and Fan Backgrounds, as well as beautiful City Images.

@bigpole Then I don't know honestly. How are they showing in-game, is it completely blank or a generic background?

Have you got it working yet?  Have managed to get mine sorted now so I have the stadium insides showing in the stadium pictures on the club info screen

Can you show me how your folders and configs are structured? And which skin you use?

looks like this on zealand skin. It's weird because I didn't have any problems with graphics. I'll sort something out and think about this.

@bigpole That particular stadium actually got a new ID for FM23 so didn't have a background yet. I'd advise you to just completely delete your backgrounds folder and then install these complete versions again 👍

I just moved the whole folder from inside the megapack folder into the graphics/pictures folder and deleted the backgrounds folder as I don't want the backgrounds currently.  I then moved the stadium_insides config file inside that folder.  In FM I then went to preferences and unticked “use caching to decrease page loading times” and made sure “reload skin when confirming changes in preferences” was ticked.

I use Zealands skin.  Hope this helps

screen was unfortunate because the situation looks the same in every team (default photo), but yeah, will do that, even 4th time.

What skin would work best with having them all used, also what tactics do you recommend for newcastle

I find Flut skin is best

and tactics for the Geordies…..spend millions of saudi money in January should work ;-)

I've downloaded all graphics again, but leave the ‘default’ folder structure and it's working. Config files are now outside the main folder. Weird situation, but at least it's resolved. Thanks for the help guys.

Hi all,

I've downloaded the backgrounds megapack, followed all the instructions and they're not showing up in-game. Only the smaller images of the stadiums appear. Could this be due to the skin? I'm using Tato's. I'm sure I can remember before being able to change the opacity of the background, but I can't seem to remember how I did this, is there anyone that could help me out? I don't want to change skin if I can help it!

Thanks in advance,

Craig

@Cjames14 and @whatsthepoint I dont think the “Tato23 FM23 Skin v1.0” supports backgrounds. The skin is not available on our site at the moment and you should aks where you have downloaded the skin from 👍

Yes they will work with any version, just place them in your graphics folder.

Thanks for the great update.

Sorry, i´m since over 10 or 15 years here at sortitoutsi, but i din´t understand the structure of this file:

Which folders i have to copy to my backgrounds? It´s realy complicated since the version 2023 for me.

Why can´t it look like this and i have only to copy the files to my pc? I know, you know why, but i don´t understand😢 I got it and it´s working, but i don´t know if a new user get it to work too.

Deleted Account #1094108

@Footygamer It's the same problem again with this update where the config files are seperated within different folders

@Footygamer I agree with this user 🙂. I know it is probably a mistake, but please fix the unnecessary complex folder structure. I would also advice on dropping the “image” folder and just having the config and the images files directly in the main folder. No one looks at the config file but just wants a simple way of updating their packs. Keep it as simple as possible please 🙂👍

Sorry this was an accident yet again. I've been super busy these past few weeks and keep making small stupid mistakes. The config shouldn't be in a separate folder like that, the zip files have been updated now to fix this and i'm going to find the time to do a bunch of testing and make sure it's 100% okay for next month.

@Qvordrup  The separate images folder we've already spoken about and I still don't understand the issue. What problems is it causing? It solves a small problem e.g. computers freezing when opening a folder with 10s of thousands of images and having to sort or scroll to find the config.xml and creates no issues as far as i'm aware. Can you explain really clearly what the problem is? Sorry if you already have and i've forgotten.

To be clear that second point about the “image” folder is completely separate from the separate “changes” folder issue which is a bug and has been fixed.

First of all thanks for fixing the important issue 👍 Then the second tiny issue…. yes I've raised the question before and it is simply because I think the extra “image” folder is unnecessary noting more noting less. I dont think any one is looking at or editing the config so I dont understand the argument for having the extra folder. Having as simple a folder structure as possible just makes more sense to me, and why do the “cut out” not have a “image” folder within the faces and iconfaces folders if that is the best solution? Any how.. I think we should just agree on disagreeing whether the “image” folder is a good idea 😂

I'm looking to replace the above image in the background MP. I assumed it would be the city ID which is 8600159 but I have searched the “team_city_backgrounds” folder and there isn't am image named 8600159.

I then thought it could be the club ID which is 106580. Again, searched for that, and nothing.

Any idea what the image ID is please?

It is the club ID 106580, and if you have the full pack it is definitely in the “team city background” folder 👍

Thank you buddy, I'm guessing you would believe me if I told you I just searched again for it and it's now appeared 🤦‍♂️

Why does it look like this? I know Haarlem as a town is in the citypack (with ID 575) but it still doesn't work… Something wrong with the config?
