Really? One of my reservations about Moyes was that I was looking forward to a couple of exciting signings, and now I can't see much happening at all.

Not transfers by Moyes obv. But with people to/from Everton, players deciding against Utd cos of no Fergie etc.

Tbh, I reckon Zaha is regretting staying at Palace for those 6 months.

I can't see many players turning down Man Utd because of Moyes. 99% of players etc.

Quite amazing though how in a couple of days, Chelsea will be massive favourites for next year. Assuming Mourinho to Chelsea and Moyes to Manchester United.

Although I think Moyes will have an impossible job. I reckon Mourinho would have been the perfect appointment, with his ego and getting Manchester through the first few years. Weirdly I also think Benitez would be a good appointment.

yeh my hope was fro Mourinho to be appointed and his ego take all the pressure. and again ive said a few times i was worried about Moyes attracting players, obviously being Man Utd helps immensely, but i cant see the top top players wanting to play for a manager they have never even heard of. Especially when clubs like City and Chelsea can throw more money at them and have bigger name managers.

Yeah, maybe the triple A players might choose to go elsewhere.

That said arguably only Ferdinand and van Persie were signed as triple A players, out of the current team.

I suppose, but ultimately i guess we dont know what Moyes is like with regard to transfers really given the lack of money he has had at Everton, i guess we will find out. I just hope he is as good at spotting young players and nurturing them as SAF was, and i hope a lot of the current scouts and backroom staff stay, at least for a while

He can have the job if he puts some trousers on.

Is it too late for you to get Pardew?

Maybe Everton can have him...

Neil Ashton of the Daily Mail is now tweeting that Rooney has handed in a transfer request, with Chelsea preparing a bid.

They're full of them tonight!!

No idea what his record with United is like but Neil Ashton's pretty accurate when it comes to Chelsea.

Kenwright has just been on SSN to say that Moyes to United is still not done. Moyes will be in charge of the game against West Ham on Sunday.

And Fergie will be managing Utd on Sunday. So what?

Just quoting SSN. Although United did say the manager who they want would have to resign before they announce.

United have said Rooney isn't for sale, can't see him going to Chelsea really, however Bayern I can see happening.

If we replaced him with Bale I'd spunk myself I think.

DDG
Evra
Vida
Evans
Rafa
Carrick
Fellaini
Bale
Kagawa
Nani
RVP

Rooney has removed Man Utd player from his bio on Twitter

I'd take him at Arsenal (no chance of that though). I could see him going to Chelsea over Bayern, don't think he's the kind of guy that could/would want to live in a foreign country

If Utd could get 30-40m for Rooney I'd take it. He doesn't really fit into the team anymore and he's too inconsistent.

VP up front with 2 wingers and kagawa in behind would work. Bale/Ronaldo on the left, Nani on the right (he deserves a run in the team to see if he can get his form back, Valencia has had enough chances) and then a midfield of Carrick, Cleverly etc.

It would also mean Hernandez and Welbeck would get more chances.

The assumption of Fellaini is fantastic.

It's just going to happen, we have to accept that fact.

(In seriousness though, I don't actually particularly want him, would be worried if we did sign him he'd play in the hole and Kagawa would go out to the left and Moyes would use his Everton tactic of hoofing the ball to him and think there's better players available for what Everton would want)

Did it months ago apparently. Cleverley also has the 'NikeUK athlete' thing.

I hope the club doesn't take any u-turn from Rooney this time around. Get rid of him and use the money to bring in either Falcao or Ronaldo if possible. He thinks he's far more important than he actually is and as Flash said it'll give Hernandez and Welbeck more chances.

I'd take him if the price was right, say between £15-£20mil.

I actually think he could shield the defence quite well and allow Carrick more freedom to get forward. I wouldn't want Kagawa pushed out wide, not at all. He's shown already how dangerous he is playing just in behind the striker and he'll probably be even better next season after his first year in England.

I think you'd be looking at about £10m more than those prices tbh.

Yeah, he'd give us some steel in midfield which isn't the worst thing in the world (and certainly seeing the end of Jones as a midfielder is a blessing) but I have serious concerns about his passing in that role and his best performances for Everton have been in the hole, something Moyes won't forget.

I'd rather we had a more serious look at Wanyama (Ok you lose the height of Fellaini, but he's not much shorter) for cheaper and then explored some more explosive, pricey options for the front 3.

He's not worth more than £20m really, so if they want more they can keep him.

Definitely don't want to see Jones in the midfield. Might be a big year next for Cleverley, can see him getting the nod early on from Moyes to partner Carrick given the energy he brings to the midfield, kind of like Leon Osman. Really wish Anderson would get fucking fit and by fit I mean actually lose about a stone or two by the looks of him.

I really don't see Fellaini happening, or Baines for that matter. Everton would demand even more seeing as we've taken their manager. I don't know why people have this assumption that managers take their most valuable assets to new clubs with them. On a smaller scale yes, managers tend to have favourite players that they take with them, but not on a scale like this.

Or Ronaldo/Bale tbh, can't see it.

Love these assumptions about Bale, Ronaldo, Fellaini etc, you'll most likely end up with just Zaha
