A Napoli home win was probably the most nailed on result of the weekend.

I know Inter need to 'rebuild' (i.e selling Coutinho and bringing in Tommaso Rocchi in the same transfer window), but they are so, so bad. And they're going nowhere with Stramaccioni.

I was thinking of Napoli's proclivity for fucking it up against the 'big' sides, forgetting that Inter at the moment don't really count as a big side.

Haha that's a quality stat. Although tbh, it feels like they've had 48 coaches in the last few years.

Roma were absolute gash last night. 4 points from Palermo away, and Pescara, Siena and Chievo at home. That's an unacceptable return for any team in the league, never mind one of the biggest. Andreazzoli can't be considered full-time for the job.

Milan 2-0 up against Pescara. Balotelli got the first from a penalty, and he's got 10 goals in 11 games - which is his highest Serie A return. Great record.

Means the Champion's League place looks too hard to get to for Fiorentina but the Europa League is still in their hands.

Finished 4-0, this Pescara team are a joke, easily the worst Serie A side in recent seasons and almost as bad as that dreadful Ascoli side way back in 91/92 that finished with 14 points.

Who, in turn, are almost as bad as the Inter of 12/13.....

I actually feel a little sorry for them, not only have they managed to tear apart a CL winning side in the name of cost cutting, now they can hardly field a fit 11 with this ongoing injury crisis. Alvarez' penalty sums up the way their season has gone and a 13/14 with just Serie A to focus on will probably be better for them than competing on multiple fronts...

Back to tonight it was great to see us finally beat them in Milan, Onazi's goal was amazing and for my money Marchetti has been the best keeper in Serie A this season, some of the saves he pulls off are world class.

Milan will play against Roma wearing next season's 3rd kit. It sucks... http://imgur.com/a/Denlx

Interesting stat: when Napoli beat Inter later, every home team will have won today. Can't happen too often.

And yesterday there was not a single home victory.

It's not that bad IMO.

There's a pocket, a practical use while wearing a jersey.

It's been coming, he's struggled with injuries the last couple of season and thanks to that c*nt Matuzalem, his former teammate no less, a broken a metatarsal's done him in. I'd have liked to see him come back in some sort of off the pitch role at Lazio but his family are based in Milan and he's been offered a role in their youth system.

If you've got yourself a place in the Milan family, why would you ever want to go anywhere else?

Palermo's relegation to Serie B confirmed today.

And ironically Fiorentina's winning goal was scored by Luca Toni - the striker once being one of the main factors behind Palermo's Serie B 2003-04 winning team that brought them back to Serie A after over 30 years.

It wasn't long ago when Palermo was touted as one of Serie A's success stories... how they have fallen.

That's what happens when you have a nutjob for a chairman who gets through two or three coaches a season and dismantles a side that got into Europe. He's only got himself to blame.

That's Lazio recorded their third win in a row, if Milan do us a favour tonight we're guaranteed to finish above Roma in the league.

Cavani is awesome

That he is.

I'm sure Palermo are regretting having let him go today.

We've got Napoli on the final day so I think whatever happens tonight you'll be above us Can see us only getting one more point.

If we hadn't have messed up against Palermo, Chievo and fecking Pescara we'd be a lot closer to the CL places and tonight would have been a huge game......

Milan - Roma suspended due to racist chanting.

Muntari was sent off earlier in the game for trying to stop the ref booking Balotelli

Roma's fans are just as bad as ours for rascist chanting etc, it's annoying how ours always seem to make headlines and their lot get away with it.

Sh*t game. Failed to make the man advantage count, Muntari's behaviour was outrageous. Totti got sent off too but thankfully won't miss the Coppa final.

ABOVE LAZIO - although that will count for nothing if it all goes wrong next Sunday. So the banner '26/05/13 - win or escape' from tonight still stands, despite beating Napoli.

Milan scraped 3rd. They were losing until the 84th minute when a penalty (surprise) got them back in the game. Once they scored that to level up it was pretty obvious what was gonna happen next. Montella's done a banging job with Fiorentina though.

Inter are awful. Like really, really awful. I say it every week but it's just unbelievable, I didn't think it was possible to go from that good to that sh*t in 3 years.

Can't help feeling the players minds were on the cup final, we've been rotating when possible to keep everybody ticking over and no doubt beating Roma in a cup final has taken higher priority than finishing above them in the league...

I've a bad feeling this season isn't going to end well though.

Stramaccioni sacked, so much for attempting to promote the Primavera players.

Mazzari in then?

Most likely yeah.

De Laurentiis claims Benitez has agreed to join Napoli too. His time at Inter was pretty poor but still a decent capture for Napoli I think.

Inter have sacked Andrea Stramaccioni.

And have replaced him with Walter Mazzarri.
