Why do the faces now contain the name face then the number, they are not overwriting the old faces because the names are different the old faces just had the id number but now it has face Infront of the id number

Well obviously i did miss that part that, that isn't rocket science.  

What's with the attitude. 

No attitude, it was a genuine question to see whether you had downloaded it in some way in which you did not see the message or whether you just hadn't paid any attention to it. If it wasn't clear enough, then maybe it needs to be changed to avoid the situation repeating itself.

It also made me realise that I forgot to include the usual text in big font explaining the issue in the release post - so I've now edited it accordingly 👍

Fair enough, it's just that i've downloaded since about 2015, and it's always been the same. I  literally just missed that part.  

Should we still delete the Iconfaces folder for FM26?

Because the update download still includes them and I dunno if they are still needed or it is just there for FM24

They're only there for people still playing FM24; they're not needed for FM26 👍

How long does it take before images can be made available for new players?

Once the database is updated on the site, which will be any time between March 20 - April 20, depending on SI, as per Footygamer's post.

I'm a bit concerned about the sheer amount of pending images currently in the request forum. I appreciate it's a combination of FM26 including an unusually large amount of new players needing to be cut after skipping FM25, and of the new official update adding a chunk of new people which also need to be cut.

However, I'd like to do something to deal with the situation before it gets even more out of hand. Here's some options I've thought of, but I'd like the community to pitch in 🙂

a) Improvement images cannot be requested if the person has had a cut produced in the last 12 months, unless there is a clear change in hairstyle or facial hair. I'm not saying they cannot be cut, but that they shouldn't be requested. At the moment, there's a bit of leeway in how this is interpreted, butI simply don't think it worthwhile to cut someone now who was cut at the start of this season just for the sake of it, for example.

b) pack requests to be limited to 2 or even 1 per person, instead of 3 as it stands. This should make people more careful on what to upload, and to batch requests rather than uploading 3 packs of 5 people each. This might also encourage frequent requesters to cut at least some of them, in order to get through their own backlog and enable another pack to be uploaded

c) individual image uploads to be limited to 2 or even 1 per person. Any more than 1, and you should really be uploading a pack imo.

d) pack uploads to be limited to 30 images. Unfortunately this would also impact game ready images and not sources.

Happy to consider anything else, or ignore all of the above if the community disagrees. We have a small group of overworked cutters, so I think it'd be wise to focus our work a bit more than we're doing right now.

My two cents:

a) I'm OK with this. There are people without cuts while some people have various cuts in the same year

b) I'm OK with this too. 

c) Not a bad idea, but I think it's a bit hard, I'd raise it to between 3-5. 

d) Not a fan of that one. 

Looking at photos that have been pending for a while, I'd like to add an idea to the suggestions made by @mons . IMHO, requesting created persons should be forbidden and people who are not in the official database should be rejected. If anyone wants to make cuts for the wonderkids database, they should do it themselves. 

I know this is an unpopular opinion 😅

At least separate them from real db people imo.

Hi guys I'm a premium member and downloaded the Cut Out faces pack. I've done all the steps but there are many low reputation players with no faces and they are not newgens. What should I do?

The megapack doesn't have all the images of every person in every team. If you come across someone whose face you'd like to be added to the megapack, we have a submissions forum here: find a good source image, upload it according to the forum's guidelines and wait for the community to produce a cut-out 👍

Although I’ve been using the cut-out faces for years, I now have a question. After unpacking the RAR file, I end up with a folder called “sortitoutsi” containing two subfolders: “faces” and “iconfaces”. I can delete the icons for FM26. So far, so good.
 

But do I need to copy the ‘faces’ folder out of the ‘sortitoutsi’ folder and then paste it into my ‘graphics-players’ directory? Or can I simply move the complete  ‘sortitoutsi’ folder there, so that the path then becomes: graphics-players-sortitoutsi-faces?

This is fine. As long as they're within the graphics folder, the game will read them 👍
