We can make a display like this. If you want to try making a 2D kit, send me a private message. I'll send you a test version of the skin. Then we can put the kit into any skin.

I did everything according to the instructions. I downloaded BepInEx, added your kits enabler, and pasted it into the main game folder. Then I created the kits for my national team using FM Kit Creator, but they still won't load in-game... I have no idea what to do next. Please help.
lembergman
Dude, without screenshots of where you have everything, what configs you have, etc., this is just empty talk about nothing.
MarshallMathers
First, I downloaded Bassy's mod. Then I put your files in that place (screen 1). I edited the com.restufm.nationalkitinject file in Notepad and changed the destination path to the 3D Kits folder. (screen 2). Then I generated the 'World Cup' national team kits in FM Bulk Generator. I pasted them into the 3D NATIONAL TEAM folder path, just like you can see in screenshot number 2. I launched the game, loaded my save, and the kits don't show up. I've attached two files that were mentioned in other comments (attachments 3 and 4).
lembergman
Did you add 3D Kits to the config?
MarshallMathers
The config file was automatically generated when I created the 3D kits in FM Kit Creator.
MarshallMathers
do you have any ideas?
lembergman
I don't like this config. What team are you using?
MarshallMathers
I played as the German national team yesterday, but the kits didn't load. I also tried playing as Poland—made the kits myself—but with the exact same result. I have no idea what could be wrong with the config file, considering it generates automatically. I haven't messed with it at all.

What is this? Dude, This is the configuration you should have.

A BepInEx log snippet. I'll try to do something about it. Thanks for the help

I DONT UNDERSTAND I don't understand how to use it.

How have the 3D kit for the woman national team?
wfm18
How did you mod these in? Is there a way we can for example add ‘gk’ kits to the config files we already use today? So we have kit_textures/gk next to kit_textures/home and away for example.
BassyBoyYT
I've found a way to change the goalkeeper kits for the club sides too. I think I can release it tomorrow with some refinement.
BassyBoyYT
Have gotten both home and away kits on the keepers to work! Plugin releases tomorrow 😀

I followed the instructions, but it didn't work. I'm not sure why. BepInEx didn't even generate a log file.
I installed both Steam and the game on my D: drive. Could that be causing the problem?
2. Edited com.restufm.nationalkitinject.cfg:
3. Can't find the log file to send you guys:

Nice 🤩. Maybe you can make the 2D kits appear. I’ve already tried it, but for the Overview UI I still haven’t found the correct hook yet. I’ll PM you on Discord about the 2D kits, maybe you can help.
lembergman
It won't work - BEPINEX isn't installed.

UPDATE v2 (29/06/2026)
I have also included a folder containing custom kits as examples in the download file.
klyt
Wooo! Just downloaded the update and installing it as we speak.
Dumb question but I noticed in the 3D club config it looks the same as normal squad except instead of just saying /home/ it's /goalkeeper home/.
So my question - Would it work with them all in the same 3D kit folder. So theoretically I could have.
As my images in the folder then in the config have something like this:
Just to make things tidier, or would you recommend having the GK as separate folder and file structure within my kits folder?
Hope this makes sense…
pheol11
Yes, it can, as long as the file names match what you put in the
config.xml.klyt
There's something I'm missing here as I can't get the club working at all. Still just defaults to the generic one.
I suspect it's a folder hierarchy situation as my graphics folder isn't on my C: drive but on my D: along with the game install. So I think there's something funky going on there.
pheol11
You can change the location of your graphics path in the .cfg file. It’s already explained in the README.
klyt
Got it working, that was 100% on me, my bad!
I knew I needed to change the root in the config but changed the wrong line.
Thanks! 😀
Now I can get to work on GK kits.
pheol11
Glad to hear that 😊
klyt
Now, the big question if it's possible. I did try a little bit but couldn't get it to work, but again, likely something I'm missing.
My main kits folder is like this:
Then you go into each country and it's broken down into leagues then into 2D and 3D folders. All works fine.
How would I go about putting my goalkeeper kits in the relevant country/league etc. folders? I did make an attempt and edited the config to point to this kits folder but it didn't seem to work.
