My free MacAfee internet is running out in 15 days. What is the best free security software for a Microsoft 8 laptop? I do go on some dodgy porn sites occasionally, but not too often. Looking for something that's reliable but doesn't slow your computer to fuck, or intrude too much/judges me.

Have you tried putting it on Gumtree, pal?

I put my Reading ticket on there and had about 18 queries in 2 hours for it.

I watched Chandler Bing moments from season one of Friends as a related video instead.

I've started to relearn playing the cornet (shut the fuck up) after about 10/11 years. It's fucking harder than I remember.

KM or anyone else tech-savvy, is there any way of testing how secure a password is? I vaguely remember some website that let you test how long it would take to bruteforce a given password.

It would take a desktop PC about 631 thousand years to crack your password \o/

My less-secure one would take 22 minutes but that's for shit like Facebook and Twitter and I'm far too unpopular for people to bother hacking it. My other one, the better one would take 10 days. I replaced one letter for a currency symbol and it went up to 4 million years. I replaced another letter for a character symbol and now it's 15,000 years.

Not to piss on anyones parade, but it's pretty rare for people to brute force passwords. That's not to say it doesn't happen, of course it does, but if your worried about your accounts being compromised, then it's more likely to be from a keylogger or a website being hacked.
So, be careful about what you download and make sure you have different passwords for different things.

That website is good though. cunt is in the top 430 most used passwords. I'm trying to find the top 10.

Advice on a similar line, it's highly unlikely that someone is going to break into your home looking for passwords to your computer, so picking passwords that are more difficult to guess and writing them down on paper is a much better strategy than picking something easily guessed that is easy to remember.
