We had a 20 year old from our rugby league team take his life last week. On sunday we had a big day dedicated to him but mainly his family, took donations for them and other things and a heap from our club are going to his funeral. It hit me harder seeing his sister burst into tears walking through our tunnel then it did actually hearing he took his own life.

I find it unfair on the family mostly.

It's personally a really tough subject for me. I don't think people should label people who take their lives as cowards or selfish, although I'm fully aware of the impact a suicide has on a family. A friend of mine did it almost 4 years ago and it's quite traumatic seeing family members and other friends post on her Facebook and I've even flicked through some old conversations thinking what types of things she should be doing now, going to university, travelling around the world, getting married even. From personal experience at work there is still a massive problem with stigma and discrimination towards people with mental illness, especially depression and there needs to be a change of attitude towards that to stop suicides rising.

If people want to commit suicide then fair enough... If you're going to do it though do it behind closed doors. I don't agree with the ways of doing it that directly ruin other peoples lives/careers... Like jumping in front of a fucking train. One of my life long mates hung himself last year, we where friends since nursery. He left no notes, and had no reason why to do it. Completely baffling seeing how he had a baby girl and loving girlfriend...

I don't like the labeling of suicide as selfish - fuck knows what's going on in that persons head when they done it.

They'd have to be not thinking straight and incredibly ill to do so.

I want to organise all my music albums into albums on iTunes, but the number orders of the files, aren't in the ID tag within the MP3, and the Album names and titles are all incorrect, is their any program available that will help me do these a bit quicker than manual? Maybe selecting a folder and inputting the data into one and it'll carry them for the entire folder?

Dislocated my knee last night and I don't think it's re-aligned again yet as it's still extremely painful to move or put weight on. I thought all this was past me after I had surgery last year, I even managed an eighty mile walk since with no trouble at all but simply getting up off the floor after being sprawled out playing FM done me in last night.

I love this story

I can just imagine a proper Cockney voice shouting "Here you, baby, you're shit". Even better that the child is deaf

Works for me.

Whilst we're on the subject of death, someone I know died lately. He was late-20s, was out running, apparently beat his personal best at 5 mile run that day, went to bed, never woke up. Peak physical condition, he was, a marathon-runner. The police are treating it as suspicious given the way he died, his age etc, but it's likely there was some underlying heart condition that no-one knew of. Tragic though, to see someone so young and athletic die because their body fails on them.

I'm something of a roof sunbathing expert and I can state, categorically, that roof is not practical for bronzing purposes.

Not any more, the city centre is actually really nice as it's been renovated extensively in the last decade or so. Obviously some of the inner city areas are run down and dilapidated industrial messes but most of the suburbs, particularly in the north of the city are pleasant.

Probably the worst they could have been. I picked up about 50 marks in my AS chemistry resits and like 30 in Maths, but ended up with C,C,D when I needed B,B,C. I've been accepted somewhere else but really wanted Birmingham, so contemplating staying another year.

Naah it's not that bad. Obviously there's some bad areas but the actual uni of Birmingham is pretty sweet.
