When you can steal a Barca wonderkid on a free you do it. I honestly think we have probably the best centerbacks in the league and this kid only adds to that. If I can sure up the left back spot I will be very happy with us, I'm also looking for a left midfielder and that should do me.

Got him for just under £18m, we have about 10m left and I will only use it if I see a left back that can improve us otherwise I am done.
For some reason he was out of favor at Atletico despite playing 30 odd games for them last season, must have pissed off the manager, he was also a lot cheaper then what Arsenal wanted for Spartak Dalipi.
We moved up to 9th place in the European rankings and Maclaren got his first England goal against New Zealand. Not much else happening other then that.
Edit: Oh Moha got injured in the confeds cup, he keeps getting injured on international duty I'm gonna withdraw him from now on lol.

Half our stadium in season tickets. We really need to get a new stadium at some point, it's a vicious circle. Can't get a new stadium without money, can't get the money without finishing top 4 and selling out our stadium, can't get top 4 without spending money

OK. First game of the season was a rather shaky performance where every shot that hit the target ended up in goal. For both teams. New signing Levytsky started in center midfield and Fjeldheim came on as a sub. I'm not quite sure how to form the midfield yet, there's a lot of options.

I might look like an easy victory in the end. But they had two goals disallowed. We were the better team, though with Dubuc putting on a real show with a man of the match performance and two assists in his debut. He counts as home grown too after several years in Tottenham (and on loan in various clubs) and that's always a bonus.

We played them off the park, keeping the ball well and had about 20 shots. They had two counter attacks, and there you have it - 0-2.
And here's our Europa League group. Should be pretty easy.

In our 700:th game in charge of the FGR, Dubuc again turned on the style and scored both goals in this win over high flying Burnley.
Before the transfer window shut I sold Mijic to Chelsea for 15M. I really liked that guy, but it was a good offer and we have plenty of alternatives at DM. Earlier I have also sold Hamzaui to Stoke as he was still complaining over lack of game time. Goalkeeper Mortensen, centre back Antichi and striker Barrios have all been sent to feeder club Sheffield United on loan.

Yeah Chelsea were sniffing around Mijic during my turn and I gave them a hands off warning but I always knew if they came in with a good offer I would sell. I think originally they offered me about 13m which I rejected.

Edit: Wasn't just this save it was all saves, turns out it had something to do with Samsung Link so I uninstalled it and it works fine now.
