Same Lucky you avoided Dinamo Zagreb or Maribor.

That said they beat BATE in the knockout round, and they looked decent last year. I think they beat Bayern and were fairly respectable. Don't know if BATE are the same team as last year, mind. Could have overspent and had a fire sale or something in the past 12 months

Plastic pitch, 4,000 mile trip, extremely defensive team. We shouldn't have made it this difficult but they were well organized and were lucky to nick a couple of goals in the first leg. We're also not the side we were last year now that Wilson, Wanyama and Hooper have all left.

Yous were very unlucky to be 2-0 down going into this match, and definitely could have scored a bucket-load tonight.

You're right though, you aren't the side you were last season, and unless you get a few players in, I can't see Celtic doing a whole lot this year.

It would have been a shame if we'd gone out to this lot.

I agree, but for us it's all about just qualifying. Getting that money and having some big European nights at Celtic Park is such a big thing for us with your lot not involved in the SPFL. If we can get a win or two at Celtic Park and perhaps sneak into the Europa League then I'll be fine with that.

If Celtic were out, would Celtic fans feel like their season was practically over in August? - Although saying that in a way it could be more exciting being in the UEFA Cup as Celtic are equipped to make a real go of it.

A little bit, yeah. We need the Champions League to keep things exciting until Christmas at least. The Europa League would have been alright but once the draw's out tomorrow it'll be dead exciting looking forward to these huge matches.

Why doesn't some slag in England buy Mulgrew? His left foot is the most accurate in the country today.

We almost signed him before Celtic come in.

Yeah, was nice, but I'm sure those three 'defenders' could have made it a bit harder for him.

We signed him from Wolves for £150k. He was pretty shite apart from his free kicks. I have no idea how he is doing so well back at Celtic, haha!
