For some strange reason i'm more excited to see Welbeck in the shirt than i was both Sanchez and Ozil. I've fell in love with someone i used to almost hate ffs.

Apparently this was his debut.

I feel stupid about being excited about this signing. It's very weird.

Walcott - Özil - Alexis
Welbeck

Will give us the power and pace we've been crying out for a few years.

"They've done well in recent years and last year we got the FA Cup and I feel like it's time where we could really push on and try and challenge for the Premier League title. I've got one medal and it's something that I really want to add to. "

"I'd like to bring pace and power to the game. At Arsenal, we're not short of combination football and I like to join in on that and get in behind defenders and try to get shots off at goal. I want to score some goals and help the team to achieve the right results."

Love him already.

I love how he had already thought about playing for us in the past, must have been very unhappy at Man Utd.

Welbeck is a great signing for us and suits the way we play even if he's not the biggest name. He's got the ability to play with his back to goal like Giroud can and seems able to link up well with the midfield, but the big plus is that his movement is pretty good and he's quick. I get the impression he's the kind of player who can score for fun once he gets a good run of games and his confidence is up. I'm very happy with him.

Given all the abuse last week, hearing Arsenal fans singing "There's only one Arsene Wenger" was a little disconcerting.

I thought Arsenal weren't as good as the scoreline suggested - Sanchez was alright but had a bit of a patchy game, Welbeck didn't really do a lot and Cazorla had a shit first half, although he was improved in the second. Hector Bellerin looked a good player, and Debuchy looked accomplished at centre-back - moreso than Mertersacker, who seemed shaky. Maybe a team with a more persistent/inventive attack could've taken advantage.

@Arsenal has 5 million Twitter followers

Arsenal has become the first Barclays Premier League club to reach five million followers on Twitter.
By breaking that barrier, the club has consolidated its position as the third most followed sports team in the world on the social network, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Gunners have taken just over five months to build from four million to five million by producing a consistent programme of engaging content for the fans. This has included regular Twitter Takeovers, a Vine video Q&A, matchday coverage, breaking news and infographics.

Managing editor of Arsenal Media Group, Richard Clarke said: “We are delighted to have engaged so many passionate Arsenal fans around the world.
"The interest in the club continues to grow and we constantly evolve our approach to keep our fans engaged with what is happening across every aspect of the club.
"We will continue to work hard to produce engaging content during the course of 2015."
