And I would argue that with 16 successive years of Champions League football under one manager, Arsenal and Arsene Wenger are better suited to the pressure of facing teams like Bayern and Barcelona than City with their relatively new manager and only in their third season of Champions League football, and with the players at their disposal (Cazorla, Ozil, Wilshere, Koscielny, the BFG) they should have done better. Similarly I would say that a 3-1 aggregate loss doesn't reflect the standard to which Arsenal have played for the majority of the season.

Sorry, but City have a team full of massively experienced stars who all under perform when it comes to the Champions League. The fact we have been in the competition for so many years means fuck all, its not like we have the same players every season, City's squad is much stronger and should have done far better in all of their Champions League campaigns. The club itself may not have experience in it but the players certainly do and seeing as the first 11 rarely includes a player from this country (Hart aside) there really is no excuse for them playing so bad against teams from the leagues they all signed from.

What a top bloke Mr Rosicky is. And even at his age he always improves our performance when he's on the pitch - such a dynamic and positive player.

Big game today. Win against the Chavs and we're still in the title race.

Twenty minutes until kick off!

I take it back, I'm happy losing 3-0 to our local rivals instead of 6.

The saddest thing about the result is that it's almost is as if we've just accepted it's normal to lose these games in such a manner. In 26 years of supporting arsenal I cannot remember a season where we have got hammered so easily and so often.

It is completely unacceptable for a team with a wage bill of £150m to concede 17 away at the top three.

We aren't minnows ffs, and even if we were - a League Two side with ten men could have put up a better performance. Utterly shambolic whenever we're pressed with pace.

It's incredibly frustrating. If we'd not been so fucking awful in those away games we might have snatched a point here or there, and if we actually played to our potential we might have beaten Chelsea at home or at least taken three points from United. If we'd done that then we'd still be in a strong position to win the title.

You're right, because we were shit in that game, but if we actually turned up and played as well as we have done at points this season then we could have beaten you at home. Unfortunately those good performances have been completely absent in the big matches this year.

There's just such a blatant mental issue within this Arsenal squad at the moment. Against the top English teams we can't dribble, position ourselves or pass the ball five metres.

The players literally regress to the standard of pub players.

Rumours flying around Twitter (the greatest source of all information, big and small) that Wenger is stepping down at the end of the season and told the players after the Chelsea match.

Cancelled post-match press conference after Chelsea and has cancelled the pre-match conference against Swansea

Also twitter rumours that Remy was talking to Arsenal at the weekend and has his heart set on signing for Arsenal, which imo suggests Wenger is staying.

Remy would be a great signing.

To be honest, I would be neither surprised nor disappointed to see Wenger going. He's been a fantastic servant to the club, but he is in real danger or ruining his legacy.

I don't think Remy would be that much better than what you've already got tbh.

Cheers VP. Hopefully that won't be the only bit of positivity around the club this week...

I really hope we go out there and severely f**k up Swansea's day.

Why should he? A deliberate handball is only a yellow card. The ball was going wide of the goal so he didn't deny a clear goalscoring opportunity.

In the letter of the law, he didn't commit a red card offence.
