i think great game for Dag & Red v Brentford 6-6 then Brentford won 4-2 on penalties.

Terrible!! Shocking as you say. We can put out a very strong first eleven IMO but the team that started tonight was probably league 1 standard. Not starting a proper striker too, I'd have given Gestede a start cos he didn't have much of a pre-season and then we could have took him off after an hour after he'd done the business.

And yeah why put the most prolific scorer outside the PL on the bench if you're not going to bring him on when you're 1-0 down? Not happy.

Literally heartbroken. Lead Notlob away in the derby for 95 minute only for them to score 96th minute peno and for them to score two goals in the first five minutes of extra time. Hardly been more shattered in my footballing life

My mate is a Bolton fan and he said they were awful and you deserved to win. Apprentely it was a dodgy pen too. Wish you had of won

I know so poor. I agree Gestede should have started. I think 10 changes was too many really. Stunned we didn't bring Rhodes on. Gestede, Conway and Cairney are all great players but we really needed a goal and Rhodes is the best option for that!

Still quite alot of fans on the Blackburn forums wanting Bowyer out which for me is ridiculous. Best manager we have under venkys and he has turned us around. One defeat in about 15 games as well. Some of his decisions tonight were poor but it's not time for him to go not by a long way for me.just because our fringe team lost in the capital one cup if you were sacked for that a fair few Championship managers would be losing there jobs..

Yeah they weren't good. Beckford was shit in particular. When 1-0 up we did not sit back but tried to get a second. But I think that killed us in the end.

We lost 7-6 to Leyton Orient on penos (after 3-3 after extra time when we were 2-0 down until the 44th minute). Absolutely dominated them from the second half all the way through to the pens. Hit the post, hit the crossbar, their 'keeper made 7 or 8 great saves but in the end we couldn't do it. Brilliant game though.

Beat Chesterfield 5-3 after extra time in a bonkers game. We were 3-1 down with 5 minutes to go, when one of their lads had a rush of blood to the head and decided to kick Stead's standing foot just inside the area. Wells scored the penalty and then their keeper made a hilarious cock-up to let Stead score - a certain amount of karma after he'd spent the whole second half wasting time by doing his gardening for every single goal kick without getting spoken to. We were awful in the first half but bossed it from about the 55 minute mark, but struggled defensively.

We're now unseeded in this round after being seeded in the last, in a move designed to a) not make sense and b) favour the big clubs. At least we avoid Charlton for now.
