I think in an alternative universe in which Fergie sold Rooney and played Kagawa behind RVP it would have worked out.

Bags of talent, love him, but he didn't take his opportunities to stake his claim.

Hernandez to Real as well, by the looks of things.

Rubbish deal for both parties imo, he needs game time and they need someone who can play football.

So Benzema's leaving? Because it does seem like Falcao is in fact happening.

Benzema's not going anywhere, and there seems to be a fair amount of people saying Falcao is going to City rather than Madrid.

Is Toby Alderweireld good?

Newcastle linked.

Linked with Southampton as well.

Problem with Yanga-Mbiwa is that he seems to play better when he's partnered with someone else to Coloccini. Together, they don't gel, and if Colo is gonna stay as skipper, MYM is not going to get anywhere. Though if we need anything I still say we could use an additional striker, and there are rumours we still want two more. Whether or not we make anything approaching progress in acquiring one is another matter.

Eto'o/Torres/Ba to Costa/Drogba/Remy. Not bad.

Sad to see Hernandez and Kagawa leave but they weren't going to see much football so it's best to let them go!! That fee for Kagawa is ridiculous though!!

Balague says Falcao is waiting on City and Chicharito to Real is a loan deal.

Guardian also say we're going to move for Vidal.

Going to be a fun day tomorrow.

Jackson's Vidal article is embarrassing.

It's actually an article about Kagawa, but he tags on the sentence:

Van Gaal has not ruled out a late move for Juventus’s Arturo Vidal or any further strengthening before 11pm on Monday despite high-ranking sources at United claiming there is a “very low probability” of more signings.

And for some reason puts 'Manchester United eye Vidal' in the headline.

He's a joke, he works for the guardian he should be above such blatant click baiting.

It's basically all he writes nowadays. Some vague rumour made to sound as if it's serious, breaking news and then given a suitably bullshit headline. He's awful.

The Chicharito one is a strange one. He's good enough to be starting every week at a good club. He'll just be going from United's bench to Madrid's now.

Remy will probably play a bit more at Chelsea than Chicharito will at Madrid, but again he could easily be first choice somewhere else.

Fun Twitter rumours.

RVP apparently needs a knee op. 'French reports' say we've asked about Falcao.

Who can't wait for tomorrow to begin?

I can't wait til it's over tbh. High expectations that'll ultimately be disappointing.

The RVP one was actually on national radio too. They reported LVG got him to hold out on it until after WC and knows he will need it some point this season

Last 2 or 3 hours can be fun.

Report is Falcao offered to Arsenal and Man City. Can't see him joining either tbh.

Mr. Reliable. Very nice of United/Monaco to let him know very quickly.

Spurs apparently going to offer Townsend to Southampton for Jay Rodriguez in a deal worth £14M.

I don't believe the Van Persie rumours. Surely if he was injured we'd have had him undergo that surgery after the World Cup and not be playing Russian roulette with his knee. Didn't show any signs of it during the World Cup as well.

He hardly had a great tournament to be fair. 3 in his first 2 games including that header and then a penalty in the third place play off with games looking like their passing him by at times.

Not saying its definitely true, but its believable.

He didn't have a spectacular tournament but he certainly didn't show signs of basically needing a knee op imo.

Depends what sort of op it is I suppose.

That said, the story came from the mirror.

Some South American journalist (Metro report based on her tweets) says we've agreed a four year deal for him.

God's sake I hate today already.

EDIT: Few Colombian journalists saying the same thing. Nothing elsewhere yet.

AS now too. Reporting the same story.

Ballague has tweeted the Falcao to United stuff and Herrera's followed him on twitter.

Falcao also appears to have realised that this summer is the summer of players confirming their moves by doing stuff on social media and is keeping his options open by following United players on instagram and City players on twitter.
