Sanogo is actually getting worse, its almost impossible to want to see him on the pitch now. Will be amazed if we're able to get anyone in of decent quality now, prices will go sky high because we're so desperate. Still need some sort of defensive midfielder plus i'd like another center back though, so three top quality players signed in 24hrs, i highly doubt its gonna happen.

Ramsey was also useless today.

Just over 24 hours to save our season.

Brilliant. Wenger is a genius.

So much for this being the season and Sanchez being the saviour then?

Went out the window as soon as he played Özil out wide and started the season with Giroud up top and Flamini as our DM.

Has Wenger solved any of the problems you had last season? Sanchez is a quality signing no doubt about it but much like Ozil he seemed to be a signing to appease fans more than anything

We still haven't replaced van Persie, or even fucking Flamini from 07/08. I think Alexis was needed as we needed a starting winger for the left, but it's useless if you play one of the best no. 10's in the World in Özil out wide with a 21 year old who can't control a football up front. Wenger has never been great tactically, and it's showing now more than ever.

If we don't address these issues it'll be yet again another poor window. The last two summers are inexcusable considering the amount of funds we have.

We haven't addressed our key issues for several years. Wenger continues to ignore them.

You sure you don't want our 26 year old who can't control a football instead?

I'm surprised that he's going Madrid. I've always thought Chicharito was absolutely dogshit.

Especially on loan. Doesn't make much sense.

Thats harsh, he was never a good footballer but the amount of goals he scored in his first 3 seasons here was more than enough to make up for that.

The problem with that sort of player is when the goals dry up. It was only a few seasons ago when he was linked to Madrid for about £30m and most people were disappointed with that. If they can get him scoring again he'll be an asset, but I don't think they'll have the patience with him he needs to get back to that level and he's never going to be more than a liability on the ball.

Nah, he'd be a good replacement for Higuaín as backup to Benzema.

Given RM were linked with Falcao yesterday its a bit of a comedown signing. But I suppose after selling Morata they needed back-up for Benzema.

They need someone with at least some ball skills, to bring all their midfielders into play. Hernandez can't do this.

Hernandez could end up scoring a ton for Madrid sniffing in and around the box considering the likes of Bale and Ronaldo do like to shoot from anywhere and everywhere, although he'll no doubt be second choice behind Benzema.

This season is going to be exactly like last season for us. More underachieving and depressing football with a 6th/7th place finish.

Are we gonna have to deal with Rodgers stroking his ego every time Balotelli does something?

That's what you got from it? It was Balotelli's first game for the club, ofc he was gonna talk about him.

And yeah, usually BR praises individuals in post-match conf when he thinks they played well.

Its going to be quite funny when Liverpool inevitably concede from a corner with Balotelli losing his man.

Nah it was more the "I made him defend a corner" thing

...because we know he has discipline issues but we are working on that... first step: start defending corners.I see nothing wrong or pompous on what BR said... I liked it because as I said, we all know Balotelli is a twat and it seems that BR has what it takes to discipline him. That's it.

.. and ofc we may concede from him poorly defending a corner, that happens even with some great defenders. Still better than with 1 less person there.

So that's a yes to my question.

Pretty sure Mario always defended corners for City anyway, we just used a zonal system
