Apple Keynote is later on today, OS X 10.10 will probably be unveiled. Judging from the leaked images, it's going to look like iOS7:

That looks kinda gross.

Saying that, I like iOS7 and the 'phone' features on my Mac are amongst my most used, e.g. Launchpad and Messages so I'm sure they'll go alright with it.

Oh and if they could for the love of god make Airdrop work between Mac and iPhone I would be so happy.

The screenshots were taken in March apparently, so I guess they'll be quite a lot of changes i.e. flat iOS esque icons and, judging from the banner at WWDC, a wallpaper of Yosemite.

I don't really like the Control Centre tbh.

Doesn't bother me, I assume from its location you access it the same way as the notification centre now and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've used that or remembered its existence.

The Continuity feature is very, very good. Ninja got his wish of AirDrop working between iPhone/Mac and then some.

Spotlight's new look/functionality means Alfred is screwed! The new interface is very nice and clean.

Not a good day for Apple.

First off, apparently the iPhone 6 bends when in a jeans pocket

Then the iOS 8.0.1 update just breaks the iPhone 6(no service and TouchID broken)

There's a lot of reports though. Sitting down in tight jeans seems to bend/warp it. Looks like a design flaw (especially in that video, the 'bend' seems to be at the point where the volume controls/sim card holder is)

Its not really a lot when you think they've sold 10 million phones though, just the same as the previous problems with older iPhones.

10 million sold doesn't mean there's 10 million in people's hands though.

Anyway, iOS 8.0.1 breaks the iPhone 6 which is a bit shit

As much as I love my Macbook Pro, I wouldn't buy an iPhone these days, period.

The bend issue is a clear defect in it's construction and material used, which will have all come at a cost. The one thing I've always associated with Apple products is excellent build quality, this isn't remotely shown here.

On another note, also had a laugh at the "Apple wave" hoax going around that let people believe they could charge their phones via sticking it in the microwave haha.

Amazed people actually think this is a defect in all of the phones, like Apple don't stress test their phones. Its the standard overreaction when something is wrong with a relatively small amount of units.

Also there were the same reports of iPhones bending with the 5 and 5S, reports pretty much stopped a month after release.

Yeah such a fan boy, i don't even use an iPhone

All I'm saying is there is always going to be phones that are dodgy, id be willing to bet the vast majority though wont bend if you have them in your pocket.

He is right to be fair. Apple have released their testing process and they did stress test them. Some phone are defective as is almost always the case and they will be replaced as is always the case.

This is also something android manufacturers have suffered with too.

It does seem to be a structural thing though. Maybe some are worse than others, but the 'core' defect is still there

That doesn't mean that Apple haven't built a phone that has some clear defects though. It's clear that in the process of trying to build a lighter and thinner phone, quality has been compromised in the process due to going with a thinner aluminium design. Which would have all been done at a significantly lower cost. Clearly if you're using such a material that you're going to need to have it at a very specific thickness to combat the sort of bending Apple have encountered.

From all the videos I've seen, they've all bent in some degree with minimal pressure. Given a lot of people carry their phones in their back pocket, sitting on them is going to be one of the main causes. That's concerning enough.
