For a third year running the beast that is the British Steel returns to the challenge section for all of you that want to challenge yourself within the British Isles.

So what is the challenge: You have to win every trophy from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland in any order you want. However you must only use British and Irish players!

With no on conquering this challenge over the last two years its proved to not be as easy as some people assume and we welcome every challenger to try and be the first!

The challenge is made a little easier by counting promotion from finishing second in the league, or via the playoffs as the title but this is your choice. Any success in Europe or with the national teams are just an added note on your history but won't count towards this challenge.

Below is a screenshot and I will add everyone who takes part to the challenge leaderboard and add your story so people can follow it easily. Once you've won a trophy be it league or cup, I will need to see a screenshot for it to count.

Rules:
  • Only use British and Irish players
  • Must start with Sunday League Reputation
  • You may start at a club or start unemployed, your choice
  • You MUST send me a screenshot of each trophy won for it to count
Below is the list of playable trophy's within the game when you load all the home nations.(Downloaded competitions and expansions are not allowed)

England
Fa Trophy, Blue Square North/South, Blue Square Premiership, Johnson's Paint trophy, nPower League Two, nPower League One, nPower Championship, League Cup, Community Shield, FA Cup, Premiership

Scotland

All the best to all the challengers....

just a question ... are dual nationality players allowed??

According to Dan, dual nationality players are allowed and even if England/Scottish/Welsh/Irish/N.Irish is their second nationality you are allowed to use them as long as they are not playing international football for another country!

Took a few weeks break from this over the New Year but am back on it now...

Quit Athlone Town and started looking for any old job. Became manager of Scottish 2nd Div side Dumbarton for...er...almost exactly 2 hours (game time) before thinking "No, this was a Bad Plan" and immediately resigned. Hah.

Somehow amongst my catch-all job applications I managed to get an offer from Notts County, who had just sunk back down to League 1 after a season in the Championship.

The 'ethnic cleansing' was fairly tricky since it left me with no goalkeepers, strikers or wingers - but at least I had pre-season to feverishly work with and managed to get a squad out of it. Although in my transfer frenzy I had ended up signing both GK Rob Elliot (one T) and ST Stephen Elliott (two Ts). For some reason having both an Elliot and an Elliott on the same teamsheet has been annoying me ever since. ¬_¬

Currently mid-December in the 2014/15 season and trying to win the league, but four straight 0-0 draws is not helping at all. The January window can't come soon enough!

@Dan. Actually the players that are doing the Travel across Europe can do this challenge too. I only don't know if I completely can follow the rules to use only people from the Brittish Island. Anyway it will be long before we finish all these countries.

Started with Ireland, managed to get 4 within the first 3 seasons. The Munster Senior Cup looks easy, but none of the clubs involved in it are choosing to sack their current managers, so I guess time to look somewhere else to continue.

Munster Senior Cup is only winnable with one of three playable teams, either Cork City, Waterford Utd or Limerick F.C. I was lucky with the fact that as I decided I would move on, the job at Cork City became available, so managed to get all the trophies in Ireland with them other than the Division One title which I'm working on now!

Ok thanks lads.

What about in Northern Ireland? Presume Mid-Ulster Cup, Steel & Son's cup, Interim cup and County Antrim Shield can only be won by certain teams?

Following a week away from the site I'm back and to a long list of messages which I have now updated the table

Stokerino moves onto fives trophies whilst loscules now has three trophies to his name and Alec has moved into second place now on nine trophies. But close competition at the top as Crashorburn also adds his ninth trophy to the competition. Newest to the competition Gendo moves straight up to joint fourth with five trophies!

Ok, so this may be the wrong place for this but I am attempting to start a career on this challenge but when I go to update my career I seem to be missing something. Such as I cant seem to add pics to it, bold things, change text color, its just a basic text editor, where have all the advanced commands gone?

EDIT: It seems to be a browser thing...on Chrome I cant see them , on IE I can, strange

Moving slowly up the table, 8 trophies now. Northern Ireland was just as difficult as I remembered from last season. I'm really hoping for a Welsh job to open or I'm going to be stalled for some time.

The British players rule really come into its own in terms of difficulty when you reach the Premier League gap. Not the gap between the PL and Championship, but rather the gap between being a mid-table team consisting largely of Liverpool/Newcastle rejects and being, well...good.

Maybe Stewart Downing, James Perch et al can make a Champions League push...

Or, er, maybe not.

As one of my mates pointed out: the picture at the top is a little jacked up, as it shows Northern Ireland twice. Once under its own flag, and again under the ROI flag!
