Captain Sam Morsy with second goal in two matches to grab us a good win against Dortmund. Morsy only played eight times for us last season and has hardly featured this season but he's played every game when I've managed. I think he is a class act in the middle of the park.

Terrible performance matched by a terrible result.

We didn't deserve anything from this match. We have Barbosa to thank for a moment of magic at the end to grab us a point but it's not good enough.

Finished my tenure with a win thanks to late goals from Sane and Cerri. We are ten points behind Bayern with eight games to go. For anybody else, I would say we have no chance but we do have Cymro managing next so anything is possible. We still have the German Cup which we are in the Semi's so hopefully we will come away with some silverware this season.

An edgy win that puts us within distance of the top 2.

A win here would have put us within a good shout of hitting top spot, sadly I think this is where it ends.

But we still could end up third if we don't look out.

Schalke falter so we end in 2nd.

Despite not getting league success, we managed to win the Cup via bullying Gladbach.

My plan was too stay quiet in this transfer window, the squad is quite strong and we didn't have much of a transfer budget. I started retraining some of our central midfielders to fullbacks to provide some competiotion on those positions.

Instead it turned out to be the "Match-release-clause-on-Dresden-players-window".







We made a combined 80 Million profit on these sales... Traoré was signed on a free, Barbosa for 11 M and Sané for 12.5. Pretty good dealing lads.

So these are the 2021 summer additions to the Dresden squad:

Defenders:



Argentine wonderkid signed for 5.5 M from Rosario.

My only competitive game ended with a loss, and a lost piece of silverware.

What a crazy transfer window!

I'm gutted to see Traore, Barbosa and Sane leave but we made a massive profit on them all. You've brought in some great replacements too. It's a shame that Sane has decided to stay in the Bundesliga as we will have to play against him this season (where we will undoubtedly score). We still have a really strong side, hopefully this season we can do well in the league and hopefully do well in the Champions League. I will get my few months done now.

Made one more signing before we get the season started. Maximillian Meyer joins on a long term deal from rivals Schalke. He had been a key player for them in recent seasons however was placed on the transfer list (most likely due to arrival of Sane from ourselves). We managed to snap him up for £5 million upfront and then another £5 million over 48 months. He is on quite cheap wages too which is nice. I think this could be another player that in a few seasons time, we will be able to make a huge profit on.

Two outgoings before the season starts. It's a shame to see these two leave the club, especially Miazga who has been a big player for us in recent years. We needed the money after spending a shed load this Summer on new players and neither of these two would of got a game this season.



Our club captain but only made 18 appearances in the last two seasons. Joins a side in the league below.



Been with us the past 4 seasons and sad to see him leave. With Itchy's signings of Sanchez and Siby, along with Jones and only youth prospects coming through Miazga wouldn't of got a game this season. Hopefully not the last time we see him in a Dresden shirt.

Annihilation. Ocampos and Meyer got two each on their debut and torn Freiburg apart. Volland missed a few sitters up top, not sure if I will be playing him much to be honest. I think Cerri and Kelechi will be my starting strikers with Volland coming off the bench when needed.

Missed out on a treat here. Akpom, who managed 44 goals in two loan spells with us was released in the Summer by Arsenal. He has gone on to join FC Koln in the same league as us. No doubt he will score against us. His value has immediately gone up to £14.5 million. What a signing by our Bundesliga counterparts.

Terrible start to the season in a match we deserved to lose. Need to improve on this, hopefully our new players just need a little time to get used to the tactics. Nice to see Cerri score though, he's our new captain.

Snapped him up on a free transfer after he was released from Liverpool. He still has great stats for his age and adds a bit of experience to the squad. Looking forward to seeing how he can do in the Bundesliga.
