LvG's first season:

Man Utd 4-2 Man City

José's first season:

Man Utd 1-2 Man City

If that was lvg he would be getting a hammering from United fans right now

Impressive win for Watford. Mark Hughes is odds on for the first sacking of the season.

Bilic could've been in for a shout at that if he wasn't a Hammer.

I doubt it, I think they'll have faith in Bilic to turn it around. Injuries have been a problem for West Ham.

Great result that, Mane looking worth every penny of that 34 million. Could have won by 6 or 7 if it wasn't for Kasper.

That first 45 by City was outstanding stuff. Mourinho once again back in Pep's pocket

Mourinho got his lineup all wrong, which you cannot do against a team of City's quality - and he'll know he made a mistake. Lingard was clearly unfit and Mkhitaryan was incredibly nervous on his first start. When we went 4-3-3 in the second half we played far better, Mourinho usually plays 4-3-3 against Pep (he learnt that after being thrashed 5-0 as Madrid against Barca) so I don't know why he didn't start like that. Imagine if we started with a front three of Rashford, Zlatan and Martial.

Oh and don't get me started on Rooney again. Our captain losing his head after 30 minutes is just wonderfully depressing, woeful once again.

Obviously the game could have been a lot different if Zlatan took his chances towards the end of the first half and if we were rewarded a penalty when Bravo went studs up on Rooney. But then again it could have been a lot different if City took more of their chances in that dominant first 40 minutes. Regardless of our second half performance City fully deserved the win.

Would have still been 2-0 down, if not more, also for all the Blind blaming, Pogba was poor defensively and one to point the finger at as well.

Not even half as jammy as Chelsea though, Costa should've had 3 red cards already. Such a massive wanker.

Two massive personal mistakes cost us a game we should've cruised through.

Annoying.

Tbh, the big problem was that Mkhi and Lingard were both shite and were neither working hard enough nor giving us an outlet and pinning them back. So City's fullbacks could come inside and create triangles or stay outside and create overloads which was a huge part of why we were so over-run (alongside Fellaini being tasked to be the only DM). By sheer virtue of it not being possible to be any shitter than Lingard and Mkhi were yesterday they'd have made a difference.

Yeah I agree that it fucked you in terms of their fullbacks then getting forward and swarming the midfield. Pisses me off how some media is making Guardiola out as some genius by asking his fullbacks to go forward and centre and wingers to stay out wide, when they'll get smashed by a team with good wingers and high pressing (ironically I want to see us play them see if they keep the system.. ). Also they seem to switch off / struggle as the games go on, go 2-0 up against you and West Ham and almost collapse. Suppose it's good they still bring the win through

Would have had Sunderland-Everton down as a draw tonight or a narrow Everton win, surprised to see them hammer them 3-0.

Terry is out of the game for Friday so i imagine Luiz will be playing, if Firmino, Mane & Sturridge play like they did against Leicester then they will have fun Friday.
