Hello.

I purchased the premium subscription with Paypal, and received a Paypal Subscription Receipt for Premium Membership to my email, with £10 GBP paid, but still the Premium Membership portion of the My Account information shows the status as "You are NOT currently a Premium Member".

My Paypal email is different from the email that I have registered my account here with, but this kind of thing with Paypal has never been a problem in any other place.

Any advise would be welcome.

@Rob is the site owner and administrator, he'll help you out as quickly as he again. Keep in mind he's in Australia at the moment, so he may take a wee while to answer due to the time difference and the fact he's probably snoring his head off.

As an aside, I see the OP's details have been updated to reflect his premium membership. Perhaps it takes a while to activate it...

@Rob is the site owner and will be the most likely person to be able to deal with this.

Unfortunately at the moment I believe he is in the Australian time zone so it might be a couple of hours before this can be resolved.

I'm sure as soon as he is on he will sort this!

Edit: I now see that others in this same thread are getting the premium members icon. It's probably the case that until the payment is processed and confirmed, premium membership is not activated. Hopefully the remaining folk will get their activation shortly.

A lot of you now seem to be Premium members so looks like there is a delay...

That was me adding them manually so they can download, @Rob will be able to look into the subscription problem.

Sorry thought you meant you looked at his details as did have a subscription but that ended in March

Ah I see what you mean.

When I first saw this post, the OP did not have the premium member icon. After I started writing my comment, I noticed it had appeared

Hey I've just woken up in Australia, will look into it all now, cant think of any reason why this would suddenly start happening, I'm guessing something at PayPal's end

From what I can tell there was about a 45 minute delay from when paypal was receiving the payments to when it confirmed to us that the payments were received. I'm not sure why that would be at this point, but it seems like it has resolved itself.

Same thing is happening to me too, waiting almost three hours. No big deal though as I’m off out for the evening shortly, hopefully it’ll have resolved itself by the time I get home :-)

@jamesy84uk it looks like you paid via "echeque" which is a PayPal thing which takes a little longer to come through
