Simply incredible. The counter attack continues to prove faultless, we kept Mansfield to a lowly 1 shot off target the entire first game and despite their best efforts in the second half they still couldn't threaten.

We also signed a one year contract extension.

I tried to sign one Alex MacDonald from Burnley, had a transfer offer accepted for 2 players to exchange but they rejected Burnley's contract and we lost him to Luton. FUCKING LUTON. Anyways he can play both wing spots and striker and would have been an awesome addition for the season ahead.

I still can't get rid of Pejic though so don't think I'll dip into the transfer market anymore.

I've also made the decision to let Itchy take over the contract renewal talks for players as I don't feel I had enough time with them to evaluate properly.

Okay I've cut short my two months by 20 days. We have 6 new sponsorship deals bringing in 20k extra per year and we have just received our budgets. No transfer and 30k wage. This leaves us a little under 8k per week for new players.

Like I said in the above post I felt it would be better leaving the contract renewals to Itchy as he had more time with the players so I felt it would be better for him to have the whole of June and July to sort out the team.

Great job, Spanky! Now let's see what we can do with this wage budget of ours.

Grant Basey will be our new starting left back, and can cover as centre back if necessary. He arrives from Wycombe who were relegated from League Two.


Really happy with this kid. I Think he can be a starter already at the age of 17.

First two friendlies done. Not to shabby.

And that's the end of my two months, and I will send the file to Fola. We might need another left winger. I have a Ugandan international on the radar, but his application for a work permit was turned down. I have appealed. He has made 44 apps for Uganda and 4 seasons in and around the first team in Hearts.

Onwards and upwards lads, personally I want to stay at Forest Green for however long we play- this season may be tough but if we can avoid relegation then I think it will be a success. I've downloaded it now and will get mine done in the next few hours then send on to Cymro.

Brought three new players in before we start the season to strengthen the squad.

Ghana international John Pantsil joins the club on a free transfer after his contract at Hapoel Tel-Aviv expired. Jarred Hodgkiss leaves the club to join Northampton so Pantsil will become our starting right back. He has experience of Premier League football with West Ham so he should be a valuable member of the team for us.



Jamie McCluskey joins us on a free transfer after finding himself on the transfer list at Sligo Rovers. He can play anywhere across the midfield and his highly rated amongst our backroom staff- should be a good squad player for us.



Finally, former Aldershot striker Bradley Bubb joins us on a free transfer after being released. He spent last season at Woking- he joins as our fourth choice striker and his stats aren't great but I took a gamble on Fleetwood and it paid off so hopefully I can do the same with this guy. On other saves I've had individually, he's always scored quite a lot of goals.



Season starts now

First game in the Football League unfortunately ended in a loss as a last minute goal killed us off. We hit the woodwork twice in the first half and deserved a draw, at least.

Out of the Capital One Cup after losing 2-1 to League One side MK Dons. Not the best start to the season.

First win in the Football League against recently relegated Portsmouth.

One more signing to add to our midfield- will be the last signing of this transfer window.





Quite a good player for so cheap.

We got absolutely battered.

Should of won but two defensive errors let us down- need to cut out the mistakes.

That's more like it! A great all-round performance from the lads, hopefully we can kick on now and push for the play offs, better being in the pack early on than chasing near the end of the season.

The transfer window is now shut and I managed to make one final signing before it ended. John Paul Kissock joins us from BSP side Macclesfield to add to our attacking options- he's an absolutely brilliant player in real life and I'm sure he can be for us too. Macclesfield pay all of his wages and he's here until the end of the season. He's a game changer, great player to bring off the bench.

We played extraordinary well against Swindon in the first round of the JPT but unfortunately we were knocked out on penalties. Would of been nice to have a cup run and go to Wembley but it just wasn't to be. Basey scored his penalty but Forbes, Kissock and Klukowski all missed as we lost 3-1.

Had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside in the last minute- fuming!

Really need to sort out our away form. Absolutely battered again, this time against Burton. I'm not too disheartened though, we've had a good start to the season.

Great win to push us only 4 points off the play offs. I've been playing Klukowski as a poacher alongside a target man with Forbes playing as the inside forward between them. Fleetwood hasn't been playing too well so has been relegated to the bench.

Looking good, I really like that Kluk guy!

Have you played Gardiner?

Good draw away against Oxford. Should of probably won as we missed quite a few chances late on but overall we did well.

Yeah same, he's probably my favourite player for this team. Played Gardiner in nearly every match in defensive midfield, he's done well.

Bradford are top of the league and have a very good squad. We probably didn't do enough to get a draw but we definitely held our own for most of the game.
